Scorpion Fly in Sherwood Forest, filmed by Peter Calvert June 2023

This video, shot at RSPB Sherwood Forest in June 2023, provides a fascinating glimpse of the behaviour of this distinctive invertebrate, whose name is taken from the scorpion-like tail. It is commonly found on nettles and brambles in gardens and woodland edges.
