My first cz was the pcr, then I stumbled across a p06 in 40, so it only made sense to get the 97b….goals. Lol. Shot the 97 for the first time today and it did not disappoint. Very happy
My (Gene) wife embarrassed me with it lol and insisted it go beside her side. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I had the same experience at the range with my female friend as you did with your wife. She shot really tight groups and absolutely loved shooting it. It's now her favorite gun of mine to use.
Dude I couldn’t see the rear sight. The sights are horrible. If she didn’t love and shoot so well with it and insist that I put it beside her bed I was ordering sights that same day lol. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
Been eyeballing the 97 for a few years now... But now that they've discontinued them for good, I had to jump on one. Better safe than sorry, its too nice to pass up...
It absolutely is and the very reason I decided to “pull the trigger.” I had been eyeballing it for years waiting and hoping they’d put a rail on it but once I realized it was discontinued I just done it. Thanks a lot for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
Soon as I heard CZ discontinued the 97, I immediately raced to my local FFL and they had one in stock; now it's mine. You can still find them if you look online or call your FFL to see if they can get one from a distributor. It will be a collector's item in a few years. Don't hesitate, get on it now.
If it had a light rail it would be my all time favorite nightstand gun. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I figured they would discontinue the 97 sooner than later, that's why I bought one... and I see it's MIA from the CZ-USA website now. The P-10F in .45 has been gone for a while. As far as the 97 pistol itself, awesome! Soft shooting, accurate, and points very naturally. The aluminum grips suck, so I put LOK 'Palm-Swell Bogies' on mine and it feels like it grew out of my hands. It's a big, heavy pistol, but my wife with her tiny hands enjoys shooting it and is surgical with it. I haven't shot my 1911 since I got the CZ 97B, if that says anything. It is also a visual work of art.
Absolutely it is I absolutely love it and sad to see it go. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
@@GSquaredTactical -- I have carried the 97 concealed. At 3:00 canted forward it hides OK under an oversized hoodie in my OWB belt holster. Think about 1997... assault weapon ban, magazine limits... that's why it's 10+1 rounds. I DO wish it had a rail. But I think my P-01 is a better carry piece. Oh... and we just black out the rear sight on all our guns unless they have night sights. Take a sharpie and try the 97 without the rear dots... I HATE 3-dot sights, the rear dots distract me.
Bought a 97BD this year and it's my favorite 45. ItS not my favorite CZ though. My CZ Shadow 2 SA will always be #1. Both are a bit too heavy to EDC so I'll keep carrying the 75 D Compact PCR.
Only 45 I like as much was my Sig 220 3 Very nice 1911s could never compare to my 220 that I sold years ago. Last 1911 was a Dan Wesson Pointman I sold to find another 220, On a whim the Gun shop had a 97B in stock I read a couple reviews and went back and bought it 0000 regrets Hard to say if it's better or not than the 220. And there is a rail available through cz custom shop
@rudrash maybe Dennis can answer that I’ve never owned the 220. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
@@GSquaredTactical yea it’s $150 plus shipping of the firearm since you have to ship it to them. Which they don’t charge that much for shipping, I already shipped them two handguns to updated the sights.
I'm crossing my fingers CZ will introduce a successor to the 97 that will be 10mm from the factory. It seems 10mm is replacing the .45acp in popularity these days.
That’s true although I’m not sure why I’m not a huge fan of 10mm. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
I love my CZ-97B. One of my favorite pistols. Very smooth. Its a joy too shoot.

I agree
I'm debating buying a second one myself.
One day you might be able to sell it for more!
Love Czs. Like the 97B and BD even better than my Kimber 1911 45.
Absolutely they are great my favorite brand. Thanks for watching and commenting Charley be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
great review

I love my 97, I have big hands so I put a set of LOK palm swell grips on it and man I love it
It’s likely the flattest, smoothest most accurate full sized 45 acp I’ve ever shot.
@@GSquaredTactical I went to the range last night and shot mine a little. I agree with you. Although I love my Springfield 1911 as well
Springfield 1911’s are the best!!

Between the p220 and cz97, how do they feel to shoot, recoil wise and overall?

Cajun Gunworks can install a light rail for you on this 97b for not too much money. I have one too and will probably get that done by them.
We have heard about that modification they do, do you know about the cost of this mod?

Since they discontinued this I’m thinking of getting another before they’re all gone.
Might not be a bad decision, sell it for more money one day

You don't need a rail for a light. Use a handheld light and YES it IS a fine carry gun
10/4
i love cz but man they discontinue everything the same year they produce it.
