+Lock N Load Radio1 I’ve been interested in one of these for a couple of years but none to be found. Finally one came into my local shop a few days ago. A bit on the expensive side so I went home to think about it overnight. Went back next morning and it had sold. So mad. Lesson learned. Thanks for sharing!
I ended picking up The CZ 97 B here in California, especially it being my first gun and I am not regretting it! The price on it was $799 but I didn’t care. I went all out on it. I even had the workers asking me if I would sell it to them and I said no. They ain’t going to be making anymore this year so it’s a gem to me now! Can’t wait to take it to the range!
Honestly after acquiring the fnx 45 tactical getting anything else chambered in 45acp seemed pointless having said that I absolutely need this firearm despite the 10 round capacity it's just so damn sexy!
I got really lucky some guy sold it after only putting 100rds through it and I picked it up for $740. I talked to the guy as he was selling it to the store then I just bought it right there lol. It’s the first one I’ve come across in person.
Man I finally got the CZ- 97 and the CZ SP-01 man i think the CZ is amazing. Having a lot of fun with both. PS: on a different note after watching your review on the Night hawk I purchased the GRP model and it has become my favorite. I'm so glad i became a subscriber.
I just bought a SAR k2 45 clone (with thumb safety) instead of the CZ 97. The CZ will support more accessories but the SAR k2 45 is cheaper. I bought mine new a month ago for $380. It's very accurate. Trigger is pretty good.
All I carry now is a 45. I never felt confident with a 9mm. If you train with a 45, you grow accustomed to the recoil. I carried my 1911 that I modified for awhile, but the 2 1/2 lb trigger was too light for carry. I then bought a Ruger SR45 super cheap cuz Ruger was doing away with there SR line. There is absolutely nothing wrong with SR45 other than a shitty trigger, I can handle it very well. Then I jumped on the CZ 97BD as soon as one came available again. Solid, nice trigger, heavy, and tight. I got a custom holster for it and it rotates with my cheap SR45 though I carry and shoot the CZ more to get used to it. Both are accurate, but the SR45 is much lighter. Just can't understand why so many snobs hate on the SR45. It's been a great carry for me. I load my own ammo, even defense ammo. The 190 gr Lyman Devastator is VERY hard to beat @ 850 fps. Penetration's fair but the expansion is 2nd to none. No more 9mm carries for me. I've tested them against 45s, 357s, and 10mm. Not even close in devastation And if 11 rounds of 45 isn't enough for you, your doing something wrong.
Love mine shot variety of ammo through it. Lately been shooting tula steel case and wolf steel case. Chews the com block ammo just fine. More accurate then I'll ever be. Soft shooting 45.
I highly recommend throwing on lok grips on the 97. Take a look at the palm swell ridgebacks. It drastically changes how the grip feels. Before these grips, the 97 felt like a 2x4. Now it feels comfortable to hold.
I went with the LOK Palm Swell Bogies and MAN what a difference. I can really wrench down on the gun now. I had the Thin Bogies first and I'm not sure why they even bother to make those.
I'm a CZ guy all the way but the SAR USA K2 45 Compact in Stainless steel is a beautiful pistol with a much better trigger, holds 14rd and tack driver accurate. I first bought the big brother because is was 300 cheaper than the CZ97 and holds 14 rounds. I love them both and being a quadriplegic they both have good triggers. They have to because there is zero aftermarket support. Not to crowd your channel but I did videos on both if you want to take a look.
For the money ,hard to beat. They are increasing in price. Saw a 97bd at gun store/ range$ 879. Think I paid like 730 bucks. They had 97b as well was like $799.
But I dont own a gun that I feel is not up to the job. All the CZs, all the Glocks, the STIs, Sigs, NightHawks. They are all armegeddon proof in my opinion.
Great review!i had the exact same one about a month ago and I traded it for Wilson combat.the trade in was the same as what I paid for it so I couldn’t pass it up
Hello Lock N Load. Any comments on the Factory aluminum grips? Texture/ Grippyness...? I have a California CZ-97 with wood grips. Thinking about replacing the grips. I have the LOK Bogies on my CZ-75 .40 S&W and they are too sharp/aggressive for my liking, cheese grater like.
In terms of grippyness, I dont know. The 97 is a heavy gun, and in terms of a grip, I almost wouldnt mind something a little less dense. The texture was good, but the metal grips almost feel slippery. To me. Part of my problem is that I shoot many guns, mastering none. I would have like to have tried that with wood grips. i think a rd with a degree of thump greater than 9mm needs something different from metal grip panels.
I have a CZ 45 and love this firearm however I seem to have a trigger bit. The price of the guns were reasonable however the price of a gun smith was not. Do you have any suggestions.
So, unlike my 2020 97b, your 2020 model has the aluminum grips. When did CZ quit offering the thin black aluminum grips on these bad boys? (U-tubes say 2013 CZ went from wood to plastic; about 2017 the original equipment 97b grips changed from plastic to aluminum.) I like my wood grips, just wondering about why the changes.
