I bought an 07 Shadow Aero with 2400 miles on it, and absolutely love riding the bike. If you get the chance to buy a Shadow in your budget, just go for it.
I've ridden a lot of bikes. The Shadow Aero fits me like a glove, I absolutely love it. 750cc is more than adequate on the freeways. I do miss a fuel gauge but it's a small loss.
While some Shadows have had self adjusting tappets, these models do not, and should be checked at 500 miles. Mine needed adjustment of the rear cylinder exhaust once. I quit checking after a couple of years because they haven't changed since.
The Aero now in 2023 only has chrome rims if it’s an abs model. That’s what I am currently looking for: a 2011 or later(fuel injection) Aero ABS. I will need eventually, a windshield, bags(hopefully hard bags), small sissy bar behind a rear seat. I would like an added power commander, heated grips. Respond to this comment and my notifications will find me. I live near Russellville, Arkansas and will travel anywhere for the right bike. Why I am so specific is because my plan is that this would be my last bike. I have been riding 60 years so I come by my specific needs from experience. I am currently riding a 2015 Goldwing 40th Anniversary edition that I’ll keep until I know this bike will be a good partner going forward.
Bought mine new. Pros.. rides nice looks nice, Cons...seat is hard as hell doesn't handle great turning on in town street corners, changing coolant is a bitch

I have this bike! I’m a new rider and this is my first bike. Only complaint is no fuel gauge or fuel light. Other than that…Love her!💯
