I own and ride a 2009 Honda Shadow, Arrow. I can't tell you how many times I have had people tell me that my bike is beautiful. I enjoy riding it. It is a joy.
My wife and I lived in Comox BC when I retired. Me on my Gold Wing, my wife on her 750 Shadow Aero took a 3 1/2 month motorcycle trip across Canada and the US. The shadow is a fantastic bike, not one single issue of any concern.
I have the exact same bike and color. I’m 5’10 and 200 lbs. I’ve gone past 100 mph on several occasions. 60, 75 mph is nothing for this bike. It will start to wind out a bit at 85 but will still take on more throttle. It’s a great cruiser. But it can also go when I need it to.
I have a 2012 black shadow phantom and a 2012 shadow spirit in orange....absolutely love these bikes! The phantom has the Cobra pipes and 22,000 miles (sounds amazing) and the spirit is all stock and low miles👍👍
If you're looking for a good used Honda V-twin. I suggest the Honda Shadow Spirit VT1100C Made between 1997 to 2007. That bike has the best gear ratio for highway riding. (14% Higher geared) as such gets the best as mpg. The Honda 1100 Sabre's the engine RPM is a little busy at highway speeds. Also you will likely get bored with the smaller 750 after a short while. The 1100's are a lot better for 2-up especially if you live in a hilly area and still gets around 45mpg (if you stay out of it). The 1100 gives a lot more legroom than the 750. Notice how his knees hit that tank? the 750 Needs a 6" forward control mod badly. the 1100 is about 3 inches higher seat height but still plenty low enough to the ground. The foot pegs are higher too so you don't scrape on corners. The seat is WAY more comfortable too. You can find good used older motorcycles with low miles cheap, people buy them and hardly ride them.
Comparing the Sabre and the Spirit, does the higher gearing difference in the Spirit come from the transmission or the shaft drive system / differential?
The scenery of this video looked like where I used to live in Prince Edward County. Thanks for the video, I am 6'1" and found a Shadow Aero that maybe my 1st motorcycle. Had dirt bikes, driven friend's motorcycles but never owned one.
On & for my birthday in late January I bought an 2009 Honda Shadow Aero 750, my first motorcycle. Now just waiting for warm weather to ride. I definitely will be cruising Prince Edward County!
@@ray8427 How do you handle it? How is the seat for you? I am also 185cm and this is more or les 6ft 1. :) Thanks a lot bro. Can check my content when you can. Cheers.
@@RRRRefuelRideRace I enjoyed the Shadow while I had it for two summers. I traded it last year as I found the 750cc just didn't have enough for me. I learnt all I could on it and traded for a larger cc bike. No regrets with owning the Honda Shadow.
@@RRRRefuelRideRace Honda is known for their reliability and the Shadow does not disappoint. If you do get one it will not leave you stranded. I am only about an hour away in Kawartha Lakes, be great to meet up.
The ONLY thing that the Aero doesn't bring to the table is hard acceleration. Don't get me wrong, it's plenty quick for real-world riding, it just won't ever win a stoplight drag race. But that's not what you buy a classic style cruiser for anyway. Otherwise it's gorgeous, comfortable, customizable, versatile, and utterly bulletproof. That having been said, I wouldn't object to Honda adding a 6th gear, an oil level sight glass, or a center stand.
@@nagunaks2222 Congrats on your bike purchase!! I'm 5'10' 185 so it should accommodate me when the day comes. I've ridden 600s and they seem a bit small, and I tried an 1800 Kawasaki and it was too big. These 750s should be just right. However, life has changed, jobs changed and now we are about to have our second child this weekend... soooo dreams like this will have to wait, but it's okay.

All the Japanese bikes have cut way back on color options, most only have one. When I bought my 2000 Honda Shadow ACE 750 there was black, and two or three different two-tone colors to choose from.

Loved watching this review! Can you say if much has changed mechanically from 2010 to present on the 750 shadows? I’m looking for a fuel injected model and am wondering if there are years to aim for or to avoid in this range. Thank you!
@@prd185 yup I understand, just didn’t know if within fuel injection there was anything to focus on or avoid. Like with cars, sometimes the first year run is one to avoid.
I am after one in red and white with studded leather seat once I get my A license even if I would have to search through whole Europe for that. I wish they also have chrome Honda emblem on tank side with fender chrome guard ...More chrome the better Man :-D.
I know a guy about that height with the Spirit version of this bike and he looks too big for it for sure. I'm 5'11" (31" leg) and feel on the upper end of the 'right size' bracket

ABS ? I drag a bit on the rear brake for low speed manouvers.
