    I am from Satara, Maharashtra, thanks for another great video. My mother does not put sweet in it, it is a little spicy version we make in village and I feel that version tastes awesome. I have tried Alu vadi from a few places in Pune and they put Jaggery in it, honestly that didn't taste well. I feel Alu wadi should be made without adding any sweet.

    In this holy month of Shravan Aluvadi is compulsory while breaking fast at dinner time. My recipe is similar to your's but sometimes I make variation by making paste of dry coconut, whole coriander seeds, jeera, black pepper, ajwain, ginger garlic , green chilli and add this paste to gram+ rice flour with jaggery and tamarind water. ❤

    Hi sanjyot, we love yr recipes and also have made many of them, if possible show street style bhajiya , all kanda , mirchi, batata. Ghar pe bahar jaisa nahi banta, thick batter rakho to khane me chane ka aata ata hai, aur thin kiya to layer tikta nahi aloo mirchi pe. So show us with tricks and tips.

    Nice recipe of patra. I m gujrati nd we make patra with same method but in tadka I add half cup water so it becomes very soft. Really everyone should add water to make them more soft. We add little salt, lemon juice nd a spoon of sugar. Even with hing add a little bit of haldi powder for good colour. This is a tip from ur Gujarati caterers. Nice recipe.

    In southern Bihar we called it KOPAL and we place 4-6 leaves on another using besan batter as a adhesive. Also we make a sabzi with mustard paste and garlic as base after deep frying the leaves.

    In Costal Karnataka we serve it in 3 types: Steam Patrode, tawa fried Patrode and we also prepare a sambhar out of it called Thetla sambhar.
    For steam and tawa fried, we use Butter as side. Each bite with small portion of butter on top will be amazing.
