I’m very amazed that Bang&Olufsen still isn’t out of design ideas. They always bring up a new banger.
That made me laugh! Very true! John
Imagine proper integration with Philips Hue - dimming lights with that volume ring would feel AWESOME!
Beyond elegant, absolutely love the design and the tactile feedback on the volume control! Love it!
Beautiful device....Thanks for sharing your thoughts and observations....another informative and well presented video 👍👍👍
Great review, John! Thanks! A very convenient accessory from B&O. Now the Multiroom is even closer to the user.
Thanks John for a great video, Halo looks like a VERY exciting new product! Really keen to see the potential of this amazing new device as the software develops further.....
Thanks Steve. It certainly has a lot of potential, I'm looking forward to future updates! John
Lovely looking! plus great review, definitely will be purchasing 👍💯
Extremely cool. For the price is a hard decision for someone that still 90% Masterlink/other products from B&O. Is clearly a product for future. We all happy, i guess, that B&O still got the capacity to create and surprise.
A note, John is the guy to present products!!
Cheers
This looks amazing, Hopefully it will get support for Smart Home features
That would be very cool indeed. I'm waiting for that too. John
B&O - thank you for making world more beautiful !
Looks gorgeous ,very slick yet tactile. It will be interesting to see how this develops. Thanks for a great video.
I've got a brass Halo, superb remote
I really love your products from india
Lovely piece of kit as usual from the geniuses at B&O 👍
Nice!
Hi John, for me I am afraid this is a very expensive thing that looks pretty. Your videos are superb as usual but how many people truly use multiroom? Or these features? Give me speakers with looks and sound that make my jaw-drop, give me integration. But a remote at £700? Maybe I'll warm more to it after three bottles of wine.......
Thanks for the intro, John! I suppose Halo is not compatible with the Beosound Balance right now as Multiroom is still in development for the speaker. I assume that once that's done, Halo will support that too.
Right now you are correct, Balance is not supported. I'm told it will be soon via a free software update when BeoLink gets added to it. Hopefully won't be long. John
LIKE LIKE LIKE LIKE LIKE like like , Looks like a Bang & Olufsen product! thank goodness it looks Beautiful.
It's Bang & Olufsen through and through! John
Great looking device, but how long do they get (security)SW updates?
B&O has dissapointed me with this, and it makes me reluctant to buy their internet-connected devices.
Very informative video John, thank you. Was that the bronze or the brass version?
Bronze Tone no doubt
Hi John, the only buttons I want to press are yours ;) great video once again, heard today during my video's premiere that more TV controls will be added in a SW update so I am a happy camper! Hope you get to take it home for a while and live with it, I use mine all the time now and I wan't expecting that :D
Will the BV11 be added as a controllable Beovision, you think?
@@Swehiort I wouldn't bet on it, All I can say it to tell you dealer, all owners of BV11's should because if you don't push them on this I fear they won't do it.
@@Mikipedia Agree. It cannot be that difficult since the app can control the BV11. At least "Join" command and volume control.
@@Swehiort it should be done, all I can think of to do is keep up the pressure for them to change it. It seemed to have worked with the Balance after all our ranting and raving and now NL is coming back to that :D
Great vid John but I simply don't understand why I wouldn't just use my phone or iPad and use the app. With a phone or app is easier and had a bigger, more intuitive interface. It is quality and is lovely looking but I simply cannot understand why someone would use this. If anything - a replacement with a better screen and more intuitive and expansive screen and features might be more attractive but for the moment our phones and tablets are our entertainment hubs and control centres. Why would er look for another device to do that same job. I like the device but am unconvinced about its place in the system. Love to get yours and other people's thoughts.
It's a companion to the app. A lot of people listen to the same playlist or radio station a lot of the time. This just gives another control option that's faster to access those things. No need to unlock your phone, find the right app, select what you want to play etc. Just enter the room, touch one button and off you go with easy volume adjustments. It's not to replace the app it works alongside it. It won't be for everyone but I can see a lot of people liking it the simple fast control it offers. Plus as a bonus it looks super cool! John
I could be wrong, but it seems to me this is designed more for office or common spaces where other people could start the music without having the app.
@@Stevejobs722 Interesting. I can see how that could be a reasonable use-case.
@@BangOlufsenManchester OK. I can see - you just walk in - you walk over to the table and just push a button and your music fells the room.. no phone has to come out and no iPad needs to be accessed. I can see that someone may want to do that and it is probably a little more luxurious. I think it really is connected to how you usually and are comfortable deploying your music. I have had Sonis in the past (even though I have now spent much too much money on B&O stuff haha) and am used to having my phone as the hub device for my music. Others may not be in that place. It does look lovely though. I like the idea that it is wirelessly charged and flexible. That does look and feel good. Interesting. I might go over to a store and have a look at it.
Great video as always by my fabulous husband x x x
You're biased :-)
@@BangOlufsenManchester Maybe....but we all know you're the best at this.....others will try....but theres only one John from bang and Olufsen Manchester....x x x
This kinda feels like a replacement for the moment. It does look Awesome, I know it’s a remote it’s self does it also replace the beo one remote
Get ready for November 17 it’s going to be a golden day
The Avant NG is not supported. Thinking about adding the Beosound Core to my system as the Avant lacks internetradio. Can you connect the Core to the Avant NG and than use the Halo to control it?
It looks epic. One question though. Will it allow multiple speakers to be volume controlled at the same time or like in the Music App I have to do this one by one.
At the moment one at a time but I'm hoping a software update might solve that later on, we will have to wait and see, a group volume would be quite handy. I can see situations where multiple Halos are installed around the house so you have a volume control in every room. John
@@BangOlufsenManchester Many thanks for confirming, do you have an ability to sell online?
Would be nice if it would support sending HTTP requests so it could trigger scenes set up in SmartThings to control lights, curtains, etc. for those of us who don't have a BLGW.
Looks stunning! How do you wall mount it?
You either buy the table version or wall version. You can't swap and change.
Hi John. Your video about the Beoremote Halo is great. However I have a question.
I have a lot of songs on my phone and computer and I do not subscribe to Spotify nor Deezer. Does the Halo let me access my music on my phone or computer? Or do I still need to play on my phone and then control it through Beoremote Halo? Thank you
Hey John, can the Halo remote work with Google Music?
If the "My Buttons" on BS 1 or 2 are unconfigured, can they be freely used in Halo?
With Beosound 1 and 2 you have to set the profiles using the product buttons on the top plate. Once they are set Halo will recall them for you. John
Bang & Olufsen Manchester Understood, thanks. Drawback with that is that what I play over Google cannot be expanded using “join” on other units
@@Swehiort Good point, I'll have to test how that works. John
@@BangOlufsenManchester Think it would make sense to give the user an option to either trigger the "google presets" or set presets just as if you had e.g a M5 or M3.
Anyone else bothered by the not-quite-centered B&O logo?
Is there a Beolit 17 update coming soon?
Sorry, I'm not allowed to tell you about any new product releases until B&O launch them.
Would wait for a year or three to see if they ever get round to ironing out all the software issues that B&O are legendary for.
Not convinced it does enough to warrant the price.
It does seem insensitive and laggy when touching it.
Even the official B&O website shows the Halo stuttering during a demo clip. I think that they just need the bump in capital right now; but this product was not ready to be released.
Hi John, I need a pin code! can you help?
Would this work with Apple Music?
Good question. Would also like to know as I use apple music mostly as digital music source
thumbs up for the video thumbs down for the useless product
When is the next Beolit launching?
I'm not allowed to tell you! John
Bang & Olufsen Manchester it’s been a pretty long time.. I hope its launched soon. The Beolit 17 is out of stock almost everywhere!💔

No Tv commandos zapping not possible
😒El video se supone trataba sobre el producto no sobre la voz , que fue lo que oí todo el vídeo 😒
Translation - "The video is supposed to be about the product, not the voice, which is what I heard the entire video"
I'm sorry you feel this way but UA-cam does not support telepathy at the moment, it would be difficult to tell viewers about the product without using my voice. I'll endeavor to perhaps learn sign language just for you. John
Unnecessary accessory in my honest opinion.
"Accessory: a thing which can be added to something else in order to make it more useful, versatile, or attractive."
All accessories are unnecessary 😊
@@1trife90 Unnecessary as its really just a £900 remote control. £900 to store a favourite radio station? How difficult is it to simply use the app on your phone. It's not like it's easier to carry than your phone. I swear I must be missing something...
Control menu is not so intuitive
700 quid for that ? LOL
Such a slow, laggy and non-intuitive device. Bang continues to rapidly destroy the historical style of Levis. 😔
Where is John now????
no longer works in Manchester
@@BangOlufsenManchester so sad
