Out in Scottsdale, AZ, at Walmart or Costco, gas is $3.54 a gallon this week, but convenience store gas stations are more like $3.79.

No property taxes and a $2000 check every year...thats a tempting city.

Doubt that will last long if it hasn't already got a buyer! River looks a little scary. Maybe because we live waterside and see floodwaters cover our bottom land and road occasionally. House itself is above flood plain, but a one hundred year flood could mean trouble.

@@kookietherapy9398 Nice man lives here and he is packing up and making gains. Waterfront, new septic, metal roof 2 bedroom home in Maine on a river for $27,500. It won't last long. Plastic is banking. I do the same on my farm home property and it "banks" and this winter was a no snow one so not needed as much. 😁

Scuppers? Not familiar with that term. No, river bank on River Road and waterfront is not level with your back yard..there is elevation enough so flooding, Noah's Ark not needed @fisherman5845 !😀

Not a problem here. Only place in Haynesville sometimes the Mattawamkeag River can swell but not for long and just before fiddleheads arrive in spring!
Central Florida $3.41 they add about.60 cents in taxes!!
Add on, taxes. Who would do such a thing? Hear it gets hot in the middle of the summer there and this would be a super part time vacation home to beat the heat @edhindle9131 !

Where I live in Houlton Maine we have a steady stream of New Brunswick Canadian motorists coming over and heading right back over the border with a full tank, extra containers of gas (and milk is big too.)

State of maryland 3.29 reg gas. However the democratic controlled legislature passed a law 2 years ago that ties the price of gas to the federal iinflation index.. insanity never ceases in maryland. Its a two tiered tax system the governor can raise the tax anytime the state needs money.
Expensive to live in areas outside rural Maine.
So is this place still available. Does the river flood into the property
No flood issues and there is room for Mattawamkeag River to swell, grow in spring run off without problems here.

@@kimdagnillo8246 school taxes are $5300. Everyone of my kids teachers make $100,000 after 10 years . Plus the best 3 months of weather off. Full benefits….etc. when I graduated in 1981 my class had 600 students. The graduating class of today has 180 students. Same amount of teachers,buildings and sports.
