Nice Review, thank you for making it. The problem I see with nesting the side trays on your paint palette is that you can't leave your paint piles in place without getting paint all over the side panels. Solved easily by keeping them in your backpack and putting them on the box when you get to your painting spot. Other than that, it's one of the best pochade boxes out there on the market today. Happy painting!!
After watching a video by Mark Bryan Taylor, the creator of Strada easels, I see that he puts his puddles of paint in one of the side trays (not the middle tray) to use as his paint palette and when he packs up, he nests it in the other side tray, so that solves the problem of storing the trays in the box! Clever.
I've owned several different pochades/easels. If you are serious about plein air painting, this easel is worth the price. I have the medium one and the micro mini. Love them so much. One pochade (Sienna) I had was rickety and my painting could fall in the paint, it wouldn't hold it securely, one had gripper teeth that only held very thin panels (Ugo) and I lost a magnet that held the side on plus the painting palette was too shallow, one pochade was kinda bulky (Guerilla Painter) and only held the panels it was sized for -- you could buy an rinky dink attachment for other size panels but that's one extra thing to carry . All the pochades have their strengths but the Strada easels are perfect and will last you forever. So many less headaches. Sure to please any Goldilocks painter.

I hate having to pay for all the extras! I will look else where!
Do you recall what you used to hold your brushes in this video?
Can you leave a small panel in the box when its closed?
I take it, it can't be used in your lap? Also, can't hold wet canvas or board? Or can it hold one when closed?
Thanks for the review
Good review
I need this😁
How do I unhook the easel from the tripod
There is an attachment on the underside of the box that works with an easel.
thanks for that
Can this be used for Watercolor?
Yes, it can be used for a water color setup
£650 is well overpriced for what it is compared to very similar types at a third of this price?????
