“Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak.”
― Sun Tzu, The Art of War
Yes.
Appear far when you are close,
And close when you are far.
"I appear strong
But I am weak
I appear smart
But I am retarded"
- Pilot the art of deception
Really Appreciate the compliments in the battle Appolo. Great video man
Soldier: "'If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight!' Sun Tzu said that"
Apollo finally reading history books?!
Good thing Napoleon never placed his troops near the red line border during his campaigns.
Big brain moment
Well he *was* what they call a "pro gamer"...
@You just lost the game What’s ligma?
@You just lost the game Why the 😏?
Maybe he wasn't the genius everyone believes he was.
Corpse dragged by his horse, yet his moustaches still on point.
Hmmmmmm
I love it when the literal 7 minutes into my first ever NTW3 match I lost all of my artillery in a span of 10 seconds
Edit: Love it or hate it but it did make me learn my lesson
3 times
1 time each for every artillery piece
You were the french player? Not bad for your first multi game honestly. If we were back in the day I'd say keep trying and you could get popular in the community.
Well... you know... before CA killed historical
Bro, you maneuvered pretty awesome! When you made that comeback and almost sorrounded the brits I felt it like "yeeaaah man!!!" The only mistakes you did were the cav ones, other than that you were awesome!!
@ uhh sorry to disappoint you I was not one of the players in the video, I was talking about a battle I played 2 days ago lol
Apollo, it has come to my attention that on the holdfast page on steam, the ww1 trailer showcases your head getting sniped by a German.
We are sorry for your loss
-Nugget
RIP
That was a great battle. Props to the British player for pulling a Battle of Kharkov a withdrawing and counter attacking. He was so patient with maneuvers and didn't jump the gun with his cavalry. Just brilliant 👏
That was a pretty epic last stand by the French at the end there, with the British encircling them, and them forming square to fight them off on all sides. Reminds me of the similar scene in the Waterloo movie
Yes, they kind of covered the retreat.
I love seeing fire and maneuver tactics from players like this. Makes the battle so epic!
Apollo: „The prussians are walking into a trap, that could be a turning point. Also the british are counterattacking, this could also be a turning point.“
Also Apollo: looks at horse dragging a dude instead
Sounds like proper priorities to me.
"If you like and subscribe to PA, you are officially a chad" - Sun Tzu
I need a certificate
The name of the battlefield is Wagram (Vah-gram). Last battle between the Austrians and the French during Napoleon’s invasion in 1809. Considered the largest battle, at the time, since the invention of gunpowder.
Your channel became my morning routine. Sometimes even when I'm at work I play your videos on background and just listen because your commentary is awesome!
How fantastic this channel is, guys! For people who are so passionate for history and warfare history these are pure gems. I know I am probably exaggerating with compliments but believe me, I don't do it so often.
Thanks man!
Prussia threw the battle. The two British did absolutely their best and the French did fantastic being aggressive except with his calvary. Can you imagine 4v4. 3 armies of infantry and lights , the fourth entirely calvary and artillery.
Every time I see pixie post an NTW3 battle, my day immediately gets twice as good.
"That's something you just have to learn through experience"
Ah, those were the good ol' days.
"Vah-grahm".
At least thats how english historians pronounce it. Mind you I once heard Field Marshal Von Manstein being pronouced "Moon-Shteen".
I call him Moonshine now.😊
Nice to see more Napoleon, Apollo.
Missed it.👍
Warhammer 3 "we added CLOTH SIMULATION as a graphics option" I sleep.
Me watching this Napoleon TW video "THIS STILL LOOKS GOOD!"
This was dope! Love NTW3! Thank you for uploading these Apollo.
The french that obliterated the Prussians hid his army and drew them in by constantly attacking with cav and showing a few line infantry. Too bad he sacrificed all his cav to perform that he could have beaten the English in the final line battle had he reserved a cav unit
Nah still would have lost.
I love these videos keep em up!
Love your vids as always ❤
Just saw all the EPIC👌 Napoleonic Era videos Mr.Apollo has graced us with and can’t wait to watch all of them
Epic stuff man!!
I’m sick and this is making me happy, great work, love the vids
these battles never get old man so awesome
I enjoyed your thorough description of the French army's aroma
Need more battles like This
Great video I like these battles
Nice Vid as always
0:22 "Sit back. Relax. Enjoy your flight" Ryanair
You know your an early bird when you see Apollo say it's Sun Tsu instead of Sun Tzu as he correctly edited.
Been loving these vedios
Wagram is German Apollo
'Vog-rum' :D
Also all this ntw3 is Amazing!
Glad to see Apollo getting more views agains he deserves it
And Napoleon would be very pissed off .
Wagram also known as "Napoléon's revenge" was the battle where the French defeated the Austrians after the Austrians sucker punched him in Aspern.
Epic battle.
It looked to me like the Prussian player lost connection towards the end…otherwise that was disgraceful play on his part. The two British players made a great comeback after a sketchy start.
Its a good day when the Pixelated Apollo posts.
This looks kick arse, especially that you cannot see the enemy units details. That refreshing.
I learned this while watching Kingston: When in doubt charge with bayonets with france
This man is saying how this is such a beautiful battle while being zoomed in on I a guy getting stabbed in the chest. 24:09
"If you wait by the river long enough, the bodies of your enemies will float by." - Sun Tzu
Yes apollo!! More of this if you did them consistent you would get more views! Dont think we arent watching them!!
That was a great battle
Do you recommend me to watch your video in my VR head set
Particularly cinematic excursion today
Was definitely cheering for the British. After the Prussians weirdly throwing his army in a suicide blob, and seeing the British turn thing s around make it hard to not cheer for their success.
awesome!
Your awesome Apollo 👍
With a title like this, how could I resist?
Awesome.
What a battle
Love the game and content
Weird that there is a "line of sight" on a flat field. I mean okay when you have hills and such, but come on, you'd see the enemy miles away on an open field! Also, what's with the formations, are they lines or rectangles! Maximize your fire guys! But sure, it's a game, looks awesome still.
i heard if you bunch up your men, it will increase morale so that may be why players form a unit up like that. another reason is that almost all of the soldiers from any rank will fire so a huge line is not always a necessity
@@robowisanveithasung6022 I guess the morale thing is a game feature. Also, it seems that only the first three ranks fire!
@@xxxphilippxxx yeah mainly the first three ranks only.
also the morale is a game feature yes, its important because morale heavily affects a unit during battle.
@@robowisanveithasung6022 I mean it would historically too of course, but again wider lines are better against cannon fire and to maximize firepower. I know it's a game and have played it just not with that mod so I just found it curious.
@@xxxphilippxxx yeah, i get what you meant don't worry
Might not have popcorn but I’ve got beef stew so that’s nice
Battle of Wagram is pronounced like a "V" i.e Vagram. For the history buffs out there I believe Kings and Generals and Epic History both have some amazing Napoleonic history if anyone wants to go and watch it.
Every time I put on my dress blues I bitch on how uncomfortable they are....then I remember Marines had to fight in them not even 150 years long ago and it puts me in my place.
21:40 good cover🤣🤣🤣
The French should have leard the lesson at this ponit. YOU...DONT... MESS... WHIT...THE...ANGLO-PORTUGUESE ALIANCE!!!
Love the btw i hope to see more of it
Also this is the 69 comment FUNNY NUMBER
At 28:44 we need a life of a soldier on him
A few map visits here and there would be helpful.
Happy st Patrick day my fellow Irish ☘️
Even though I’m Scott/Irish
How do you do to upload all these maps ?
Why do the units run in slow motion? Half the battle I was wondering whether Apollo was just playing the replay in slow mo 😂
In this mod whenever a unit is exhausted they wil run extremely slowly
@@argigamespronl7999 Yeah he mentioned that later in the video after I commented. It makes sense it's just very odd that they literally move in slow motion 😂
@@sorendaniels754 Thats napoleon total war for you 😂
@@sorendaniels754 That's because they use the same running animation, but slowed down when tired as they are running slower. If they animated at full speed but moved this slowly, it will look like they are running in place. But honestly, it would be better to just force walking animation if they are exhausted instead of slowing down the running animation.
im guessing the brits are kind of like the rome faction of napolen, ive never played it
First also love your videos I’ve been watching your videos for like 4-5 years
the britsish with there cuppa teas
british
nice
What was up with that Prussian player? Threw his troops into one massive suicidal charge that devolved into a blob.
Wagram is a German speaking town, so you have to remember that the “W” sounds like a “v”. So the proper pronunciation is Vah-gram.
NTW3 is really nice, but I would like to see some Shogun 2 again :)
Shogun 2 FTW
hell yeah
Apollo needs Napoleon campaign
Looks like the Prussian player dropped and the AI took over.
Life of a solider for the guy who got dragged by his horse please 28:13
Where do you get the mods
Hi appolo pls make more videos of Rome2 and keep going bro.
the prussian flags look more like the real ones than in vanilla - cool. And the french "N" flags just alike!
that british player was godlike
Looks pretty cool... but I would have liked to see more environmental effects... smoke from the cannon and gunfire, flames and smoke from demolished buildings... you get the idea.
why are you constantly moving the cam?
these videos.. have the people playing ever played this game before?
What computer 🖥️ console is this ..I want to buy 1 to play these games..!!
Wagram (Vah-grumb)
how do i download the mod?
Cavalry definitely won the day!
What’s a discord?
big fan
whats the difference between ntw3 and darthmod?
Sun Tzu is the reason the Chinese haven’t won a war in centuries, unless you count Tibet.
in tooler we trust
in booler we bust
i may not have popcorn but i have glorious zebra cakes!!!!!!!
Can you one time do a Rome 2 battle with NO rules, just whatever happens happens.
Thanks!
what mod is this?
It is called wagram by the way
28:30 hhahahahahahahahahahhaa🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Where can I download the mod?
The sound is glitching out tho, or is it just me ?
I'm a simple man, I see Napoleon Total war I click.
More like Clausewitz.
