The sheer scope and innovation of Empire just makes it so unique and despite all its flaws, there's something special about it. Definitely my favourite after Medieval II and Rome.
Still my favourite 😅
It’s unique and special for sure!
I'd say the only thing holding this game back is how weird the provinces are spread out in this game, fact that mainland Spain is just 2 is just strange decision making and France only has one major province itself
" despite all its flaws". It's one big flaw. A great concept but which CA's developers ended up well out of their depth. It looks nice. It plays horribly in almost every possible way.
@@AndysTake what mod do you have in this video?
"His computer crashed in the heat of battle"
No wonder the ottoman's eventually fell in our timeline, they refused to upgrade their PC specs.
Or they were basing their entire existence on faulty software… hmmm
This isn't even breaking character since it's very obvious that the Sultan has realized he's in a game and that's why the standard Ottoman tactic in Empire is to create so many stacks that they crash the game and corrupt the save. The Ottomans are literally a universe ahead of their competition.
I like this format. Better than sitting through hours of gameplay.
Thanks man, that was the idea! A fun and intense experience you can complete in less than 30 min :)
What? Don't you enjoy watching quill18's 785th episode of EU4 Ulm gameplay?
@@AndysTake yeah I like that. I might use that idea for other content on my other UA-cam channel. If that is alright of course. I did find this video to be a great mix of content and manageable time length.
@@SolarpunkEnjoyer lol that comment made me laugh way more than it should
I loved the narrative you put on here, it felt like an actual historical tale
Love hearing that, Vincent, thank you!
Love the narrative let's play concept. The night battles were too dark to see tho.
Thank you! Yes I agree, I’m not a fan of the night battles, but oh well
Officiallydevin used to have epic narrative lps. They were fun. Nobody does it like that anymore.
That's one thing that always annoyed me about Empire. A lot of the time, it felt like the AI declared war on you for no other reason than you aren't at war at the moment even if it makes no other sense for them to do so and the diplomacy with no non aggression or defensive alliance made it impossible to prevent it. Not to mention your allies always seem more than happy to just up and abandon you for no real reason.
I feel like its a detriment in ALL total war games, especially in the Warhammer games. Artificial difficulty drives me up the wall, i wished it was more inline with paradox diplomacy.
For sure, the wars and diplomacy made by the AI, at least in empire, is just broken at the core, sadly.
@@lamedame1213 idk, I felt that rome II's ai never wanted to fight you
There is a reason these games capture our imagination and are so successful... Its not the AI haha
in all the tw games there are many reasons for which the ai will declare the war on the player , on normal there is no bias with some exceptions , in med2 we have the over agressive milan which likes to punish france every single time , i made a comment a few mins ago explaining how i had less than 5 wars declared on my ass and all were declared by poland cause i took their territory , nobody else bothered me cause i played my cards well on the diplomatic battlefield , if you play on hard or above the ai is more agressive cause it knows it can afford to be , it gets more money and its troops are improved for example , which is why i dont play above normal
That was very pleasant to watch, far more than an 1000th lets play that we can watch everywhere. Good work !
Thanks man, that was the idea! :D
My friend, I am saying as a Turk, you are more dominant in our history than most people here.
"Let me just rewrite history for a moment." Ah, yes, the pro ruler move
You know!
This new format is just straight up fire !
Thank you!!
You should continue this as a series its just *chef's kiss*
Glad you loved it, LEGEND! Planning on making more with other factions/games!
The fact that this could very well be an actual historical documentary speaks for the quality of this.
Those jokes were on point. Especially the Salam alaikum Habibi fort joke. Subscribed!
Haha glad you liked them, Fahim! Thanks for subbing :D
Bro, I never realized I wasn't suscribed, I have seen like 20 videos of you lmao. That little notice within the video is good, I subscribe!
Thank you for finally subbing, mate! :D
Finding ur channel was so refreshing, the way u cover total war n paradox games is so unique compared 2 the others . Thankyou for putting the work in 👍💪🙌
Thank you for the kind words, Jacob! :)
This is soooo better than any campaign gameplay that takes 50 episodes up to hour eatch. I could watch total war campaign all the time in this format. For every title.
oh my god. this is absolutely incredible. i was in awe for all 22:56 minutes. im so jealous that i didnt think of this concept. cant wait for the next one
That’s so nice to hear, thank you! More coming tomorrow :)
The only key to win the ottoman campaign was to capture the Austrian territories as early as possible since it's generated more resources than any other part of the continent. I literally tested this by defeating the Austrian on the first run and not attacking Austria on the second run. The first run make ottoman the most chad in Europe, while the other made it fell down and drowned in the waves of rebellion and losing territories
I attacked Georgia and Dagestan first, and helped the Khanate vs Russia. ASAP I would take Ukraine, and later Moscow, which gave me a lot of money. Also into Persia ASAP, as that is a lot of money. Kept the austrians at bay until i could build up my economy and armies. I am playing max difficulty for battles and campaign.
Easiest way to do ottoman empire is to sell your territory that.connects Crimea and your nation to Austria, for over 5k and the territory just north of your capital to Russia for over 5k ( and recapture it same round) then no taxes for every region except for capital make a revolution in your capital and overthrow your king with another king then begin consolidation, I normally invade the Barbary states but be ready for Venice once you take out their 5th rate ship you can blockade them into obscurity then you are in a fairly safe spot Persia and Georgia will cause problems but you can give it your whole attention and later on you can target Europe
Empire Total War needed this
Sultan Mustafa: Andy Pasha, you did a great job by taking Vienna. But we need you in the east too for Savafids. By the way, don't forget Crimea.
I love your narrative format. Plz keep this campaign going!
Absolutely amazing video, I marked it for watching and I'm glad i did so. I guess it was quite the effort to make such an enjoyable journey with lots of cinematics, but I'd be more than pleased to see more such campaigns or even series.
Ah, the ETW Ottoman campaign, the wet dream of every masochist🤣....loved this new role-playing descriptive approach by the way, keep it up❤️
Thank you, mate!
ottomen and ottowomen hahah chuckle chuckle SUBBED
That’s right ;)
Hey just wanted to thank you not only was this video enjoyable to watch but I jumped back in to empire as a result first time back in nearly 4 years and I'm having a blast truly epic campaign pushing close to 400 hours total now! Hope you will do some more narrative empire campaign stories😊
Glad I watched this, what a new take on older games, one where you achieve a goal and not just pointless world domination, and in a beautifully narrated way.
Thank you, Silversnake, that's exactly what I'm aiming for :)
@@AndysTake I hope you do more of these types of videos, and although you did mention how you didnt like the Empire ai for pointless war declarations I felt as though it always kept you fighting for each victory and increased the tension by alot.
This is awesome. I have a campaign where Ive been recording trade agreements, important figures, and every battle. This feels a lot like that and I like the story it tells.
I loved how you did this please keep up the great work
I loved the narration and storytelling, phenomenal job man! I wish I could have seen the whole campaign with narration, I kept dreading that the video was going to end.
Thanks for covering Ottomans in ETW! I'm getting close to finishing up my Last Khanates mod revamping the Crimean Khanate (100% completed), adding Kazakh Khanate (40% completed), Kalmyk Khanate (20% completed), Khivan Khanate, and Bukharan Khanates while also revamping Chechenya-Dagestan (90% completed), Georgia (90% completed), Russian Empire, Safavid Empire, and Ottoman Empire [getting rid of wrong units like Isarelys and Azzars with Sekban and Zeybek, Yoruk, Humbaraci, Obuci and other more period-accurate troops] with imported units from EU4, M&B:WF&S, and other sources. Planning on a larger Empire Universalis revamping Barbary States, Morocco, Knights Hospitaller and Indian revamp of Mughals, Maratha, Mysore, etc.
I just redownloaded empire and started a ottoman campaign, having way too much fun. it’s putting a strain on my relationship how much time I spend securing trade routes from the pesky Moroccans or sending expeditions into the Russian wilderness. But Islam must spread
That was a lot of fun. The Ottomans really do have a tough start! :)
So happy to Find more Total War players. Honestly Ottomans are my favorite campaign in the game. Great Challenge
Well done,my friend!
I like this new concept.
Interesting and.....funny
Thank you so much, Daniele!
I love the narrativa gameplay video format, you made a great job. Keep the great content im suscribing
Thank you, Bernardo :)
I love the background music and the narrative. Subbed.
Thank you my friend :)
Always loved empire. But the issue of the cities, or lack there of, is something that always makes me stop playing. Would love to see an empire 2 with more cities and such
keep it up man, really loving it!
Thank you so much, Stephanie! :D
Bloody awesome narration mate UwU
Great idea. I will be waiting for the rest of the campaign, I mean Historical events 😉
I love how it’s not a let’s play, it’s a story. I’d watch these for days. Great stuff!
That’s what I love to hear! :D
Loved your storytelling, keep it up!
Thanks, man! 🙏
I love Empire TW. Thank you for this gem. Theres just something so beautiful about smoke and the sound of cannons. This is the only TW game in which I truly enjoyed the naval combat. Master And Commander things
Taking a page from the legend OfficiallyDevin and dipping your toes into narrative lets plays huh? I think you're a great fit for it, hope you do it more.
Great video man!
Keep these vids up they're really enjoyable to watch 👍👍
Magnificent Suleiman likes your video and he drops a single tear from his eyes
loved the vid, excited to see more narratives like this in other historical total wars. Keep it up!
Thank you mate! There’s already two others ;)
@@AndysTake im tuning in to the christianization one now!
0:15 I shivered
Love the storytelling !
So glad to hear it!
LETS GO! More empire is always good!
You know it!
I love this format so much, it’s so entertaining
Amazing video I’ve been looking for something like this for the past 2 or so years thank you.
So glad you enjoyed it, my friend!
This format is extremely enjoyable, hoping we will see the continuation of this campaign!
Beautiful video, not just watching gameplay, but learning historical lessons !!🎉
Thank you so much for saying that, glad you enjoyed it! :D
I discover this channel by accident, but i love videos from game in this type of narrative. In normal gameplays i watched beginning, middle and end of video. Here i go through whole. I hope that you will continue to make content like this.
P.S. Don't hammer Poland to much. I'm from it.
awesome narration and video, we need more
I really like the style and presentation. Subbed.
Thank you, KING!
Amazing gameplay, you deserve more recognition! KEEP IT UP
Please do more of these! The format is amazing
I have, there’s two other ones ready for you!

Thanks, mate! :D
What a marvelous cinematic masterpiece, Bravo!
This is some beautiful story telling. You bring it all to life. DO MORE!
I really want to see more of these vids there my favorite way to watch a total war vid as it just makes it feel like your watching a historical story of some great general making there great empire which is exactly what total war tries to emulate
whole story like theme and superb editing was mind blowing, you earned my sub, on the first video i watch from your channel..
This was a great take Andy well done!!!
Haha thank you!!
First time finding this channel, I think this is a great video idea and would love to see more
I'm a simple man. When its about ottomans i click. And when its about empire total war i stay
Very good footage and storytelling! Love Empire
I love this kind of narrative gameplay. Keep it up.
Brilliant narration and editing...thanks pal...
I really need Empire II, right fking now!
NEED IT YESTERDAY
Really enjoyed this new style!
Thank you so much!
This was a great idea for a video! Loved it! 💕💕
Thank you so much, Mikaela! :D
mashallah habibi what a great video, love the idea
Very nice video man, makes me wanna pause my Med2 campaign and go Empire 😇
Awesome roleplay...keep going bro👍
Like other comments have pointed out, it's a nice change of pace from usual let's plays. Those tend to become boring pretty quickly, for me at least. You had a nice script, too!
This was such an awesome idea 😊 love it Andy! Well done 👍
This is too good, very pleasant to watch.
Ohh more of these my guy, really entertaining and well made
Loved it! Eager for more!
Always have loved this game but I'm out growing it particularly the Europe campaign. Off to 1212 I go. We desperately need an empire 2, ps: Andy your a gem. 💎
Hahaha 1 of my earliest UA-cam series ! I actually ran out of time, that really was a tough campaign + i probably made a lot of mistakes.
It's though indeed! 145 episodes damn.. what went wrong for you?
@@AndysTake Playing on VH/VH on YT is harder than when you do it for personal use i think . I chose long campaign and was under multiple attacks from turn 1, never seemed to make any money.
Think i even had a Revolution at Istanbul 😁😁😁😁
That was on Darthmod.
Empire total war has sooo much potential, if only the factions included alllllll the entite nations small to big
Liked this new format. Keep it 🎉
Very nice video and happy to see videos of empire. Even if its a very old game now but its the most enjoyed total war for me
Thank you so much! Empire is awesome!
Do more of those narrative videos, it's really awesome !! 😁
Nice campaign narrating.
We love to see more videos like this on ottoman empire
Once you get fire by rank, the game changes forever, but unlike Darthmod, PUA puts you on the edge of your seat
I really liked this video. I hope there's a part 2
They really need to make a new Empire. Do a venice campaign
Been thinking about doing something with Venice at some point!
Which mod have you been using here dude? Super good quality content!
You have to use the reshade tool. You can actually find some videos with guide how to do this in empire tw
Thank you! I’m only using Darthmod!
This is awesome story telling
More of this new format!!!
The Calvary outflanked and broke the infantry line, rolling it up nicely. As is Tradition…
"We're the Ottomans, and YOU'RE NOT!"
