The over-stimulation as a mom, especially to young kids, is REAL!!! And definitely exacerbated by a hubby who is NOT quiet. Been there experienced it, and still not over it.😂 I first noticed it one day driving in the car alone. Partway through the drive I realized that I hadn’t put the radio on…made me realize I had reached a new point in my life where peace & quiet was now a blessing….sometimes necessary for mental health.
I drive home in silence almost everyday. I have 4 teenage girls and all I get on a daily basis is drama. My peace and quiet on the car ride home is a blessing. And my drive is not long enough. 😂
She's so hilarious! She says "I feel like Al Roker, the weather guy from the Today show" then her description of the"It's a gusty 50 mph wind , grab your rain jacket and parkas" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Amen, girl! That stimulation max can bring out the ugly in us when, as you said, tapping, chewing, clicking and sound machines are the tipping point. Especially when there are conflicting noises! Being awake when hubby is snoring and my child, who is sleeping in between us, is snoring too. I feel your pain!
I love it!!! I love how you said “My wife is mad at me” And then Abby is immediately “I’M PISSED!” And then she’s immediately laughing and then she’s going on abt how’s she’s at her tipping point.
I love how happy abby has become! Abbys back to being abby as a mother of one I know that 1st time mom feeling and it took me alot longer to find my self and it makes me so happy to see abby happy and her self again ❤
@@monika-1315 I wish it was, but it's inside the pump, you can literally see her nipple pumping back and forth, around 17-18 seconds in. They should take this video down, I don't know how they missed it.. such a weird time to be filming her anyways, like put the camera down..
@@sarahswizzle5567what’s so offensive and inappropriate about a nipple anyway? You’re focussing on seconds of a video where you really actually have to be looking for it to see it. Their job is content creation and the content here was a relatable point about overstimulation which a lot of people seem to be relating with. So job well done! 👏
Try loop earplugs they're a life saver! You can still hear everything bit it tones down the annoying sounds it's for adhd and better focus! Definitely recommended if you're over stimulated by sounds! Life changer for me!
Love you guys always going to get a good laugh for sure 😅 I thought a sound machine was only used for babies to help them fall asleep 😴 Thank goodness they were not around when i had my 6 children , honestly it would have done my head in . I understand Abby completely ❤❤
Omw I feel this! I never realised how sound sensitive I was until I became a mom!😂 I highly recommend Flare Calmer ear plugs, they have changes my life!
I love you guys “I’m pissed” got me laughing so loud but Matt wanting to hear the sound of thunder and lightning got me laughing even more bc they are the same thing!!
Over stimulation is soooooo real. Physical, sound, mental. I have 2 under 2 and I feel like I’m constantly hearing eating, crying, snoring, playing, sound machines, constantly getting tugged on. While I love it, over stimulation is so real 🫠🫠🫠
We have 4 window units in our house that are very loud and have a hum that drives me nuts if the TV is on and our 3 little kids runnjng around, i wasnt to scream and run away lol
i’m audhd and i get overstimulated easily. i don’t have children, i know i can’t handle it. the overstimulation causes visceral rage and sometimes i cry because it is so overwhelming. and having a husband that is also always making some type of noise doesn’t help at all 😂😂 we still love them though ❤
This feeling is so real. When my 2 youngest are stomping through the house screaming at each other, and then my oldest son decides that's a good time to start beat boxing or hitting some random thing against the wall..... I lose my shit
I totally understand what she is saying, about being overstimulated, and the sound machine kind of pushing you to the brink, but I also totally understand the point that is making about not wanting to turn it off to just then turn it back on again a couple of hours later. The sound machine in my daughters bedroom is often just left runningbecause we can. I just avoid that room if I don’t want to hear the noise. Ha ha.
I used to live In Arizona, and I remember it this storm was soo BADDD I got blown away at like 90 pounds lol, I remember lots of thunder but only certain times of the year
The sound machine is most often used to create "white noise" to help someone including children relax & fall asleep. Just like a baby swing can help a baby get to sleep. But the draw back to leaving it on or leaving the baby in the swing is that they will habituate to it. Just like we as adults dont usually hear the AC cut off & on. 😊😊
I always forget to turn the sound machine off (ADHD - hyperfocus on something else) and then get over stimulated by it too. I sympathize with you both lol
Oh my goodness! You have the nicest hospital grade pump. How did you make the decision to splurge? I wanted it, but couldn't make myself take the plunge.
Omg her feelings about the noise stimulation is so valid!

People pay thousands of dollars for silent retreats for a reason😂❤. Love your honesty.😮
Over stimulation from children noises is a real thing!! Lol. The overload of being touched all day is a struggle too. You're not alone Mamma! 😂❤
I'm sending this to my husband. Thank you for explaining this so well Abby!

I felt that Al Roker impression!😅
And here in Flagstaff you can definitely get your thunder fix especially during monsoon season!
Mine are on at all times. I can’t live without the noise. To each their own
I live in KC and absolutely need the sound of rain and thunder to fall asleep. It's sooo relaxing.
the al roker impression is amazing 😂
I FEEL this in my bones. At the end of the day dealing with three kids under four I and just maxed out on noise and touch. It’s tough.
I have watched this over and over because Abby’s forecast makes me laugh so hard 😂
Grab your rain jackets and parkas. Had me jumping for joy
I so relate to the fact the kids were screaming in the background and she just kept venting 😂
ooh girl i feel you on another level!!!! the overstimulation can be a huge frustration
OMG Did he really say “who is Al Roaker?” 😂 you guys are so cute!!!

Our sound machine is always on and we sometimes can’t even hear each other in the same room. Sometimes it’s hilarious other times soooo annoying 😅

I agree, so much. I immediately turn off the sound machine when I walk in my son's room... thankfully it's my alexa so I don't have to press anything.
As a mom of 2 littles, I so feel this. Sound machines, robot vacuums; it all just contributes to the constant overstimulation 😆
Abby’s face is like “can you believe this guy”😂
I can’t keep my sound machine on all the time because I WILL fall back asleep😅
I love, I definitely leave both my kids sound machines on in their rooms all day😂

My house is naturally noisy: no sound machine needed. It would be thrown out the window.
