So let me get this straight, Korone is now an ambassador of Sonic, Sega gave her a whole new Sonic theme outfit (plus Knuckles plushie), she gets a dub role in the JP version of Sonic 2 movie AND a concert collab with Sonic's music team?
Sega is spoiling our doggo at this point and I'm all for it.
If they give her a cameo or a shout-out in the upcoming Sonic Frontiers game I'd be so stocked.

I know Sega does this kind of thing to help boost their own IP popularity since Korone brings additional viewers, however I think it’s cool of them to plan out and conduct a concert with Korone and Sega sound team like this. This isn’t an ordinary collaboration or advertisement, it takes work to carry out a concert for both parties. The fact people at Sega planned it just based on Korone expressing a desire in her stream and then surprised Korone with the announcement, it must have made Korone very happy. I’m happy for her ^^ She deserves the opportunity and the recognition.

Love the idea and collaboration as well as Sega's outreach to accomplish this but can't help but feel that Korone was blindsided by this. Her response seems almost anxious like "Oh God that's a lot to put on my plate like that, another deadline." Regardless I'm sure she'll do great and look back on it fondly.

you can tell Korone is genuinely happy but also very caught off guard and is trying very hard not to say anything that might come off as ungrateful to SEGA which......as cute as this was, that's kinda like your boss walking up to you and saying "Surprise!! your working on your day off for extra money!!" its kind of a jerk thing to do on SEGA's part.....but nightmare-ish Japanese work culture and all, I'm not sure how out of the norm that really is ^^;

I'm flabbergasted that this was kept an actual surprise. Isn't this like them signing her up for a job that she has yet to actually consent? Granted she seems stoked but the whole setup strikes me as oddly weird. It would be different if was like an actual gift or ingame tribute.
they probably know that she wants it...because her love for sonic is absolute...and Sega making her as a Sonic ambassador is authentic because she likes it, this is not just a job, ambassador/endorsement is much deeper than just a sponsor or advertisement.

Did Sonic Adventure even -have- a Japanese sountrack? When I think of Sonic music that's the game I think of 'cause I was a SNES kid, and Dreamcast was my first Sega console. But I think that whole thing's in English, yeah?
Yeah. OST was entirely in English. Sonic has never had a Japanese vocal track until "On the Green Hill" was released.
I'm not gonna lie, as happy as I wanna be for Korone, it's feeling a bit like Sonic Team's using this avenue for easy publicity that they're not bothering putting into actual marketing efforts for their own things. It just feels a little scuzzy.
