Just so you know that kid was just trying to demonstrate his cleaning foam product on your shoes. It's not like in a lot of south east asian countries where hustlers try to scam you. I saw a similar case in a different travel vlog in CN. It were two guys doing the shoe cleaning together and they took more time to communicate via app translation. They explained that they are students from the local business school and they do this to practice different marketing techniques on customers on the street and to gain experience about peoples reactions. I think it was even the same product in the white box. But about the product itself, as you say, it was completely optional to buy it or not. They were more interested in the experience training. I guess the guy in this video needs to work a bit more on his communication skills, though. Or he practiced peoples reactions when he tries to sell in a really intrusive way or something like that...
China is definitely awesome! I lived in Shanghai for a couple years up until 2020. Would like to visit Shenzhen as well. The US media only spouts non-stop BS about China. Once you've actually been there, it's easy to see through the propaganda. Really miss Shanghai and living/traveling around China, and hope to be back there next year! ❤

I was in Guangzhou n Shenzhen in 2018,what got me was the amount of vehicles and the driving is crazy bumper to bumper.Suprisingly there was hardly any accidents!

I saw a similar case in a different travel vlog in CN. It were two guys doing the shoe cleaning together and they took more time to communicate via app translation. They explained that they are students from the local business school and they do this to practice different marketing techniques on customers on the street and to gain experience about peoples reactions. I think it was even the same product in the white box.
But about the product itself, as you say, it was completely optional to buy it or not. They were more interested in the experience training.
I guess the guy in this video needs to work a bit more on his communication skills, though. Or he practiced peoples reactions when he tries to sell in a really intrusive way or something like that...
China is definitely awesome! I lived in Shanghai for a couple years up until 2020. Would like to visit Shenzhen as well. The US media only spouts non-stop BS about China. Once you've actually been there, it's easy to see through the propaganda. Really miss Shanghai and living/traveling around China, and hope to be back there next year! ❤
