@@eyouse8705 I'd recommend it, it adds more power to the bottom end providing a harder hit but can take some off the top. 125's could always use some more power to bottom end.
125's are a mid to top end power delivery and that's where they make their bast power for racing. A shorty silencer does not make any sense on a 125 when the longer silencer enhances a 125's power delivery. On a 125 a longer silencer is better like the Pro Circuit factory silencer or the FMF silencer, not the shorty. A lot of riders don't repack their silencers enough creating power loss and unnecessary noise, have seen a lot of guys that never repack their silencer and it sounds like clapped out junk.
Cool as man that’s dope!!! I did the change from stock to fmf and dammm it sounded nice but also ran suppa nice ahaha so much more nippier awesome vid man keep it up 🤘
Mine sounds like that when I start it on cold mornings, also why always choke? I usually never use choke, only when she needs more than 10 or so kicks She normally starts first kick
@@ianthompson043 maybe he was putting the bike away. I know of people that rather let the bike burn the fuel in the carb until it's dry instead of draining the bowl Normally.
I did the full system. I have since gone to a PC system, it fits way better. I had trouble with fitment issues with the FMF, and it seems to be a common issue for some reason 🤷♂️
@@ar-dude6493 I didn't at the time, but my bike is really sensitive to weather changes so sometimes iI swap out jets during the day. It just depends sometimes.
Getting a pipe and silencer affect the power delivery, especially in these 2 strokes. To shorten the OEM one, isn’t as simple as just taking a grinder to the stock muffler. Also the full systems on these 2 strokes are fairly cheap, only a few hundred (for a multi-thousand dollar bike).
Guys if you don't like the bee typo sound just switch the pipe to like an ordinary cylinder shape not like those fat and then tiny at the end that's what i did to my bike.
Do you know how an expansion chamber works or no? Do you understand the back pressure it creates to keep unburned gas from leaving the cylinder? probably not. Learn what you’re talking about before you comment
Nothing wrong with reviving it, just can’t go full throttle or anything. I don’t let my 125 warm up just by idle, because 2 strokes really aren’t meant to idle and they may clog up.
When a 2 stroke sits at idle for a while, especially mixing it a little rich which might be the case here, it will foul the plug pretty easily. just smooth rolls on the throttle barely cracking it open is more effective
His face when he’s reving the bike is like 😐😐
I was looking for a comment like this🤣
Getting a shorty silencer isn't just for sound difference, it will change the hit of the power and the way it revs.
hello do you recommend it for motocross? Because on the site the shorty is recommended for supercross and freestyle
@@eyouse8705 I'd recommend it, it adds more power to the bottom end providing a harder hit but can take some off the top. 125's could always use some more power to bottom end.

It's not just about the sound. The lenght of the silencer effects power delivery as well. The longer one will usually broaden the hit
NateDogMXtv yes. I use shorty FMF on my KTM xcw 250. More sound and more power low to mid range. Good for trails.
Lancair W opposite actually
Foster katchen I have a 06 cr85r bored to a 110 what type of pipe should I get??
Andrew Perryman the one meant for a 110 big bore kit
Jon the lamb I ended up getting an FMF powercore 2 shorty just put it on around an hour ago
I got the shorty on my 05 Kx 125 and it definitely gives it a more crisp sound than the stock silencer.
Is it louder
@@fishingwithchris1357 definitely
@@cameron6783 ok I may get it
Is it just me or is there no sound difference??
Max Alvarezツ the fmf sounds fuxking miiint
When it echoes the fmf shorty... its crisp af
i think you r right !!!!!!!!
There is sound difference
there is but camera mic cant pick it up.
All the haters comments probably dont even own a bike. Sounds crisp dude keep it✊🏼
Most of you are forgetting silencers aren’t just for sound purposes only
It makes it sound more like the sound you think of when you think of a 2 stroke dirt bike
Thanks for the effort you made to share this bud!!

Sweet will there be an installation video? What made you choose the FMF
Most these after market exhaust see no improved results on the dyno but they are cool and sound great.
Nice bike dude. Looks well taken care of
I have a shorty on my rm 85 and it sounds so good I love it
Let your bike warm up bro lol
Dominick Johnston it’s a 125 10 revs and it’s fine
Jack Amy that’s so false on so many levels kid....
When dad says to let it warm up

it’s fine 2 strokes ez to rebuild

are you running the 2 stroke fluid rich? because it's poring out smoke
Whyd you turn the gas off tho .... so itd bog or to burn whats in the bowl?
Why did u turn the fuel of before u revved the shorty
I just noticed that to, I think he might be running it dry so if the bike sits for a while the jets in the carb wont get gunked up.

the stock one sounds better

Honestly, seems like a pretty useless way to spend money. If he just wanted more noise he could just shorthend the stock muffler..
