FNM4EVER!
I met Mike on mission beach in San Diego on this tour. My brother and I were kickin it on the sand drinking a 12 pack of Samuel Adams and here comes Mike walking by with a boogie board. This was at about 4pm, well before the show started. He was cool, I recognized him and called him over, gave him a beer. We talked and drank for about 15 minutes then he headed over to that big white truck to help unload the gear. He seemed to be loving the vibe on the beach and smiling alot. Cool, cool memory.
I saw this tour in Boulder, CO and Mike hung out behind Fox Theater and talked with the fans for a good hour or so until it was just me, my brother and my girlfriend. And then he just yawned, smiled and said, “well anyway” and walked back inside. Hero.
man, footage like this is priceless, captures and era without any hype... tx4posting!
I was at this show. I couldn't believe they reproduced _California_ basically note for note. Totally blew me away. I met Mike Patton (and Trevor Dunn) briefly about 10 years later in Tel Aviv when they performed with John Zorn's Cobra.
I am the dude with the tshirt they were freaking out over lol. Thanks for the memory to the guy that posted this.
A band this great shouldn't have to carry its equipment in and out!
It’s good to see that they do.
I agree. Let them know I will gladly do it for free.
Mikes a roadie too? The man can do it all!
Chris Kiefer the band loads their own gear because then they can set it up the way they like it specifically
@@willowsparks4576 it was a joke.
Sarah Rowe Stone definitely didnt sound like one...
I know Mike has always hated the idea of being appreciated for anything other than his art and completely rejected the pretty boy image that's given so many other music groups or actors fame and popularity. But one must admit his devilishly handsome looks contributed to a LOT of his success. In his prime he was every bit as good looking as Robert Downey Jr and Johnny Depp. Naturally that's only going to help one's career. Even though he'd probably never admit it.
This was exactly 20 years old a few days ago - where does the time go?
Thank u so much for posting - makes u really feel like being there!
Rare footage!!! A singer actually loading gear!!!
This has to be the worst spot to load up all your equipment. I wonder if this is the way bands always do it at this venue or what the deal is there. But its like Patton n crew r trying to load while other people r trying to get in this place.
What camera was that?
Он на концерты со своими комнатными цветами ходит? Так мило!
7:04 mike looks like johnny depp
That's an insult.

Only if you’ve been living under a rock.
@@BareBandSubscription what i would say if i was wrong
Oh shit - yeah it's not great loading your truck in front of people - it's better quietly ou back , then if there's time and an occasion to party - then you party
This was a the beginning of a darker evolution for MP. Photos from this era show him very thin faced, and "gurped" in the eyes. Amphetamines or too much coffee...who knows. But the marriage to the Italian really took a lot out of him. She even has a domestic violence case in San Francisco with another man. Not sure if he still supports her. Strange situation that seems to have taken a toll on him.
Did he ever get divorced? I mean, it's always implied that they got back together. Also, what's with the domestic abuse case?
@@windyhead7960 They're still close friends IIRC.
If he says that he doesn't do drugs, in spite of his reputation as a massive troll, I believe him. It's probably too much coffee.
Mr. Bunghole
21:15 Patton's wrong, the girl came to give herself to him, and he ignored her for show. It's unworthy of a man.
If you’ve ever played a show you’d know that the commute there, setting up playing and tearing down. Puts a lot of stress on the group he was probably in a bad mood at that time or consider maybe he’s a little socially awkward.
@@adriannefrias8563 I think Mike enjoyed the famous craze and fun in the 1989 to 1995 time then after he started to become less social and more like whatever lol his stage performance on the other was more crazy under 2000 Mike's a beast though:D
He was married.

Mike was very personable and approachable on the California tour.
Mike plays for the other team.
