      @@patrickmillion I had read an article that mentioned the survivor told the detectives that he was carrying a cup of coffee when he walked in, and they apparently found the cup in the store. And one of the woman scratched him up while being pistol whipped, DNA profile was made. So im assuming his DNA would of been entered into a database. He probably really is dead. Just seems like a botched, junkie robbery. Even his composite sketch he's got those PCP eyes.

    I'm so glad they have people still working on this! This has stuck with me since I heard it on the news. I'm very familiar with that strip mall and don't live far. It's such a tragedy that this man has not been brought to justice after 14 years. I really wish channels who cover these types of crime would do a video on this. I don't think it got the attention it deserved/deserves.

      I'm surprised it hasn't been solved, yet. The composite was very clear and detailed from the eyewitness. Plus there's audio of the killer's voice (although not very clear). I hope they will be able to solve it, soon, for the sakes of the victim's families. And, to give peace of mind to the survivor!

    • @Dudebro123
      @Dudebro123 День тому

      @@WithDredayI doubt it was a hit or targeted attack because the person stayed in the store for so long (30-40 min). If it was a hit, the person would have a target and want to get in and out as quickly as possible. They would also probably want to wear a mask so as not to potentially be identified. This guy didn’t wear a mask. I think it was a botched robbery job by someone from a nearby area (Chicago Heights, Harvey, etc). Maybe they chose Lane Bryant because they knew it was mostly women who would be easier to control and less likely to offer any resistance. It was said he inappropriately touched one of the victims in a sexual way.
      If it was targeted, then this case would be solved. The suspect would have likely interacted with the woman he knew or vice versa, but the surviving victim never mentioned that. It was a random crime of opportunity. He and any accomplices probably went to the strip mall looking for an easy target and saw a store with a couple of women that looked like an easy mark. The guy was probably a drug addict or desperate for cash but not ballsy enough to rob a bank.

    • @WithDreday
      @WithDreday День тому

      @@Dudebro123 I thought so too until I heard the back story on the Store manager, Ronda. Long story short, she blew the whistle on a church in Texas that was having money issues and it was sold soon after. The odd part? A member of that church's phone pinged from a tower close by 90 minutes before the robbery. He also had getaway drivers which is odd for a robbery with such a low take.
      I honestly think the only reason they haven't linked it is because they can't prove what was discussed, only that a long phone call was made.

I was early for work by 20 minutes and opened for the shop while most guys came in at the last second. Was anyone followed to the store by the gunman? Was anything taken? It would seem like one person would be a target not six.
