That was because of a couple of reasons. 1. Bedwars was a new game. Not many people was experienced and not many people were good at the game. 2. There was just less things to do. If it was as simple as it was back then everyone would leave it. A game has to evolve in order to keep its players. So ye it was more simple and calm but if it was still that same game it would died in a months time

Islands and Bedwars has the same problem since they the same devs.
Nah it won’t die until several years later at least, its not that easy to kill a roblox game. The game still reaches 100k+ on pretty much every update which doesn’t seem like bedwars is anywhere near reaching its endpoint
Season 1 was the best because f2p players can now finally own kits and the kits that were free were actually op (jade was considered the best kit at the time) but later seasons the free kits aren't AS good (they are still good but season 1 was better)
I think bedwars was in its prime at around the start of season 5 or season 6 because it wasn’t too simple and it wasn’t too hard it was just perfect, there were a perfect amount of original kits and it had a lot of fun items to use in game and the battle pass was really good too People who want prime bedwars back 👇
I remember so many classic moments such as when barb got it's buff to an trash version of an emerald blade to the first ever weapon to be better then a emerald blade or when luckily blocks first came out and the 100 players map or when davy became a fun kit and the amazing season 1 or the hype to get the penguin battle royal badge (the first ever badge) and the first Christmas or Halloween map. And so much more.
like the boring 7 months i quit bedwars and played blox fruit but at season 6 i was back bc relics were so fun and finally the damn balloons were removed i enjoyed it ngl

The game was simple and actually fun. Now the game just feels like a sweaty competitive game. Then we got to season 3, everything went wrong, there were so many try hard's and then that kit... THAT kit, wanna guess? It was yuzi, all the tanqr wannabes bought the kit and were dominating and and I quit after I got aery from afking just because the game wasn't fun. I completly quit season 4 and 5 and came back in season 6, things were even worse and I didnt understand half the things and I got to the point were I quit bedwars comepletly, I just wrote an entire essay which is funny but its fine

My prime was 2020-2021 and I spent about 3500 robux on stuff but now in 2023 I have so much against it and I have about 12 kits through battle pass’s and packs or even just random kits. If Roblox had a refund feature this is we’re I would use it

As an og player, I think season 7 kinda revived the game. Sure its nowhere near its peak, but people are in school right now and its hard to sustain a dedicated playerbase. For the conditions, the game is doing alright, and I have a feeling it'll blow up again in the Summer.
Season 7 ruined it for me personally since all the changes to pvp made it alot harder and nearly impossible to do certain things hopefully season 8 can fix what issues season 7 brought

I was playing bedwars since season 3 and right know I think season 7 this must be my last season for bed wars bec there no new kits that actually think bed wars right know mixing kits and try to pretend that they are different + this season they change a lot of thing like one of my fav balloons or right know the pvp and bounties or new map mechanics bed wars in old times doesn't need these cheap tricks to gather players they listen community every week and make improve the game for right know bed wars try to change their game-play completely and I don like it and this boring updates start with relics bec before this bed wars don't need any game change mechanic I like to playing old seasons but right know I feel like I'm drowning only play this game for daily's to complete season pass ( if u are start playing bed wars from season 5 u don't get wth Im saying prob)
Bedwars isn't falling, it's doing better then ever with 50k players on it rn. so it's kinda clickbaity to call it "the rise and fall of bedwars" like fair enough you want money but the game isn't falling.

this game honestly sucks nowadays for me, this is one of the games where i can strongly affirm that its predecessor was MUCH better, now the game has so many overwhelming things that just cant get me to even start a match with how many things there are, i quit at the start of season 3 but i finished season 1's battlepass fully, i still kind of like the game but the pay2win, the overwhelming content, the toxic tryhards and etc just cant get me into the game again. it was so simple when it first came out

I play bedwars because they isn’t any and lot of fun games in roblox so l think bedwars is the most fun game on roblox I play blox fruits as well but playing blow fruits alone isn’t that fun so l play both balanced bedwars and blox fruits

Tbh i quitted bedwars, was too toxic and sweaty tbh. And i moved on to my real favourite game, islands. I still play it, i played it when it was released.
Same i used to be so pro in bedwars S1 to S3 like i still have my 1.2k wins to this day but after S4 the game was like boring like i feel like other newer games was just more fun and all
