Am I the only one that wants to know what he chuckled so hard at during the song? A legend even in 2021! This song stays on repeat in our house.
I'm guessing that the camera man doing all the close ups stumbled or something and Jeff picked up on it and say's, "you alright?" 🙂

Every time I hear or think of this song...This is exactly how I hear it in my head. for many, many, many , many years. We all miss Jeff so much! I met my wife in 1990 and this is my song for her...and has always been. We have been together since that day in 1990.

Years ago... i meet jeff as a young french guys out west learning english.
He was gigging in winnipeg i thing.
I was barely playing guitar at the time.
I got to talk to him..even play a bit of blues. He made a very...very lasting impression on me.
Years later i saw him on much music playing While my guitar..and i was blown.
Guitar and i didnt turn out to be great lover... lol but i found my way to orchestra and piano and conpose today for a living.
Just wanted to say that even today...if there was one single guitar god i could bring back... for a session in my studio. It would be Jeff...without any doubt.

Whoever is in charge of his estate needs to read my comment; the audio is pitched DOWN quite a bit! The song is in C and his voice wasn't lower pitched or growly like it is here. He clearly plays a C chord to start as well. He never tuned down his guitar. I had to change the pitch in Audacity by 0.85 semi-tones to match proper 440 hertz pitch and it sounds much better and more natural. As it is, the guitar is tuned between semi-tones anyway. Only way this would happen is if he were lazy, tuned by ear, and was way off... and Jeff's ear was way too good for this. Please fix the audio.

@@JeffHealeyOfficial Thank you for replying. Is it possible it was a glitch on Much Music's end? Every other performance of the song I could find is on proper pitch. I'd be willing to upload my correct version for you to listen to and compare but I'm unsure if I'd get a copyright strike if I did. Please let me know if that would be OK. Jeff is one of the all-time greats, IMHO. Quick question; I'm *really* interested in the new Road House CD but the limited run of 500 sold out already! Is there any chance at all of more being made? The one released song is incredible so it's disappointing I missed out on basically what amounts to an unearthed new album from Jeff.
@@strats991 hi Joe. Unfortunately we were only allowed a license to make the 500 CDs. You never know, we might be able to work something out in the future, but for right now it's all we've got. It will be available on all the major streaming platforms June 7th... ~Rog

It is funny and ironic - so many of the allusions in the lyrics are visual. But beautiful lyrics - marvelous.
