When Jeeps used to be Jeeps...I used to have a 1978 Jeep Cherokee Chief with a 360 V-8 and Quadratrac in 1986. It had 23,000 miles on it when I bought it for $5500! One night in the rain , I raced a 1985 Camaro on the freeway and left him behind!!! He was too afraid of losing traction. Those were the days!😁😁😁 I've been driving "Rubi", my 2004 Rubicon for ten years now. My first Jeep was the first four wheel drive Jeep ever....a 1942 Ford type military base. It had gun mounts in the back. Someone had put a1967 Buick V-6 and power steering unit in it from a Skylark! It had four gear shifts!...one for the overdrive unit mounted on the transfer case. It could do 60...if dared to!😂😂😂😂. I flipped it end over end several times one day trying to hurry back to my Pinto that died at an intersection. I still have the top of the windshield frame that it bent in the corner from the impact of ripping my face off. The moral to this story....don't be cheap with modifications, don't swap axles to the bottom of leaf springs...and put the shocks back on. 😀. Oh wait....don't be young and stupid!
You’re looking happy, Jake! I’m glad you two are having fun thanks for sharing. I’ve always wanted a wagoner, I might just have to settle for the new one when it comes out. You know, adulting and all.
It's been 10 years since I left upstate NY and moved to Wisconsin. I was watching a video from a guy that lives in NY and I noticed the Wisconsin plate on your Jeep. It is amazing how many connections there are between NY and WI. And now, iamjake.
Awesome rig buddy , and nice edit, these videos you do are the best. Love seeing the older Jeep wagoner coming alive fitting right in the overland scene. Cheers
Just in case you don not know. When the started dies and the parts house tells you, a) very hard to get have to order, b) what seems to be a high price for replacement. Ask for the same year or earlier ford v8 starter. Swap the nose cone off the old on and you are good to go. Only difference between ford and jeep starter is the threaded top hole on jeep nose cone. Amc/ jeep 6 cup starter is the Sam as well.
The jeep is looking way better. You can also bolt the 63 front end on yours too. You'll have to pretty up the metal behind your grill now because that will all be exposed. For sure my favorite front end though.
Holy crap this is the first I’ve seen of you since you bought the wagoneer. I thought you were gone and I doubted you. Great to see you back man I was hyped when I saw a new video for you. Hope the videos keep coming because I missed your videos
Great video and cool rig. I used to drive an orange one in high school which I loved. You also have the best open box edits on youtube in case you did not know. Lastly, I love the fact that you can just use a can of spray paint to paint your rig. SICKKKKKK!
Some of those will still take the Keiser chrome grill with separate trim around the headlights and signals. Those may accept it. I'm not sure but it looks like one without the wagoneer grill on it
Nice upgrades! I love the old-style grilles, I'm glad you went with it. I have a 77 CJ7 that I'm restoring and daily driving. I love it, sorry but I had to steal the Jade name for her. Keep up the work on the Jeep!
I have a 78 cherokee chief and a 79. Is their any smaller parts that are worth saving. Trucks are in rough condition but I have another 78 I'm gonna be using for plowing.
Can I ask where you get parts from for your wagoneer. I have a j10 and they are like twins (apart from the bed) I am just having extreme difficulty finding spare parts like the doors or the seat
Yes, this is a real Wagoneer. I don't know what FCA was thinking bringing back this legend as another overpriced yuppie moblie. I guess those yuppies are sick and tired of their G wagons and Range Rovers.
Miles Mcmillion that I don’t know. You’d probably have to checkout their specific channel to see if they’ve done anything with her as of yet or finished the build.
Love your making vids again! New rig is cool. Stay safe Jake.

Nice; blaming it on the pinto.
I'm glad that you're alright
Nice to see the videos coming back a lil more consistently and man jakes changed a lot in the years. He’s gotten JACKED
You’re looking happy, Jake! I’m glad you two are having fun thanks for sharing. I’ve always wanted a wagoner, I might just have to settle for the new one when it comes out. You know, adulting and all.
Pro tip. Keep your mirrors from rusting by putting some rustoleum clear coat on them. Before I did that I was having to polish them every week

The Jeep looks great Jake!!
Hahaha awesome! I had one of these for a few years until the head gasket blew. 9 miles a gallon in 4x4 but it could climb a wall.
I wish I knew more about fixing cars. You smart. Good job 👍🏻
You just have to dig into them and figure 'em out. It's a lot of fun!
He learned by doing, same way I did. Buy yourself a project and just keep plugging away.
Took auto shop 101,102 in highschool, probably.

Love the new rig Jake! I hope it makes it to Texas sometime in 2021. DFW would be a great place for a meetup but I’d be down for Austin too!
For sure or Hidden Falls out near me in Marble Falls!!!
The new rig is sweet! It looked two tone in the thumbnail which would be dope, but looks great OD.
Love you’re video style! Keep up the good work!!!
Yea those side mirrors make it man glad you went that rout
The round headlights makes it look much better.
That boy Loves his OD Green spray cans! And the Ol Waggy makes another appearance. Keep on Jeepin...
The older Wagoneer grill looks great.
Your truck is beautiful, what tires does it have and the rim, the green one, thank you
Nice upgrades! I love the old-style grilles, I'm glad you went with it. I have a 77 CJ7 that I'm restoring and daily driving. I love it, sorry but I had to steal the Jade name for her. Keep up the work on the Jeep!
Protect this wagoneer and this man at all cost!

I have a 78 cherokee chief and a 79. Is their any smaller parts that are worth saving. Trucks are in rough condition but I have another 78 I'm gonna be using for plowing.
Do you have the specs on your Jeep? Could you share what you got? Lift size, tire size, gears, any lockers, steering upgrades, etc..?
I forgot u existed. After 3 years I randomly thought of this channel and went what happened to that dude.
Enjoyed ur vid, the round lights work best IMO good mods, like any good project, no blood, sweat or tears its not worth it! Nicely done👍
That thing is totally badass
Can I ask where you get parts from for your wagoneer. I have a j10 and they are like twins (apart from the bed) I am just having extreme difficulty finding spare parts like the doors or the seat
1 word Utah.
I miss the old jeep.
Sweet Wagon Jake!! Dig the new/old grill!!
Need to do something with that 4Runner.
Keep it up...more vlogs Buddy + more time duration
They changed door latches, door shell, and B pillars in 1980. Not sure of exact year they went to thinner flat glass in the side windows.
Love seeing a fellow Sconnie on UA-cam. Great content!
Keep er moving!! Haha is that Charlie Berens?
Looking Good !!! Love the Wagon.....
Yes, this is a real Wagoneer. I don't know what FCA was thinking bringing back this legend as another overpriced yuppie moblie. I guess those yuppies are sick and tired of their G wagons and Range Rovers.
So what's more important for your setup the more room from jade or the reliably of jade? Or havent really noticed yet
I’d recommend getting a timing light with advance for setting timing.
Jade was always a beast but now she a full blown monster 💪
I dig the new rig...
Cool rig, Jake!
👍🏻🇺🇲👍🏻🇺🇲👍🏻🇺🇲👍🏻🇺🇲
I have a Jeep wagooner in mexico and I can’t wait for I to renovate it
Hey Jake, what spray paint brand are you using?
Jeep is lookin great man
Looks awesome.
You can always drop that YJ grill here in KS when you're through - I have two YJs, don't really need a grill but ...:)
Buck 110 box reveal? Wahhh!! Hells yeah!
LED light upgrade would set that off sweet.. Maybe a bumper mount light bar
I LIKE THE OLDER SUBURBAN 73-91 THEY WERE JUST AS SIMPLE AS JEEPS.
Hey nice, I still gotta put my hood bar on after I swapped a razor grille in my J-10
Nice, waggy sounds so good!!! Good work dude!
Looking great man! Sure makes me want one
Awesome bro! Nice wagoneer 👌🏼✨
Heck yeah!, Looks great and sounds great!

Which engine is the Wagoneer rocking?
Aré you parting out the blue wagoneer ? I have a blue 77 just like that one. Been looking for seats.
Nice vid ! can we get a walk around the wagoneer?
How did your first jeep the CJ7 have six lug axles?
Potentially had Full Size Jeep axles?
Another great video Sir

Dang, Milwaukee tools, you spare no expense
Looking good, keep it up
Maybe I missed it ? Is jade back on the road or is she still cut up?
Miles Mcmillion jade is now owned by that fab shop he had her at.
@@bon2198 will she get back on the road again?
Miles Mcmillion that I don’t know. You’d probably have to checkout their specific channel to see if they’ve done anything with her as of yet or finished the build.
Round lights for the win!
Looking Good!
I'm gonna use that "well yeah always" to the pms'ing comment next time and see how it works out lol
Got rid of the old Buck 110 for a new 110 Drop Point? Nice
Thoughts on the wagoneer coming back?!?
Not a fan of those mirrors. But the new lights and grill looks on point!
