Very nice. I knew the flex mode and spend the whole day manually moving the transients where I wanted them :D You just saved me a lot of days in the future 😂
Awesome, how did you manually move the transient that one time where nothing behind it moved? I don't want everything to move with the one transient that's off. Thanks
This is great. I had to fix a drum part that was just gonna be a nightmare even though it was a little off. But you know how much work to edit a complete drum kit performance. The drummer was pretty close, just needed a little love, and this was the solution without SERIOUS editing!

Hey man great tutorials! I was wondering if you (or someone) could explain to me what the different icons on the mouse mean. I'm not sure how to explain it but your mouse will look different depending on where you place it on the flex time window. Do you know what I mean?

Hi Michael that was very helpful .I was thinking if there is a way to delete any of the transient markers that Logic added ?(sometimes if I record a fast guitar riff there will be quite a large number of waveforms packed in, and I guess the software will struggle to decide which are the relevant ones)
Hello, I'm not at the computer now, but as far as I remember: when double clicking audio, then go "File" tab, view (transient editing mode). Then you see the transient and can just double click the ones you want to remove. PS. Please Join me in the Community I created for composers like yourself. When I select my own transient markers and hit quantize, logic only follows its own suggestions for its own markers, not the markers I manually place. How to I use mine?
Hej ,, undra,, om man har gjort en Comping med flera gitarrspår ,, hur kvantiserar man den serien bäst, var för sig eller en gemensam knapptryckning någonstans? Har lite problem med tajtheten i detta nu , mvh Tomas
Any way to Auto Quantize audio? Seems with the Flex Time & Smart Tempo technology they could work out Auto Q for those times when we record in simple parts and need to work fast. Smart Tempo on "Keep" mode is basically quantizing the new recording to project tempo... BUT they wrote it so it only works with no click or other tracks playing.
Hi Mike, I have a quantize problem I hope you may be able to help me with when you have the time. . Every time I make an instrument track playing along with the metronome and then quantize it (usually 1/8 note) the very first notes move to the left outside the playable region. When I physically drag them back into the region - it sounds out of time. Is there an easy remedy for this issue? Thank you in advance
Hello, I wanted you to know that I’m hearing a high pitched note behind your back narration track. I’m not sure what it is, but I wonder if anyone else hears this…?
Hi, On the second option of Quantizing, you mentioned left click and then move or drag the file to the proper bar line or beat line. What do you mean by left click?
Professional Composers Hi Mike, thanks for your response. I understand Hi Mike, I understand right and left click with the mouse there’s two buttons on top, but I don’t have a mouse I just have a MacBook Pro laptop and I just Slide my finger around it and press to do my tasks. I’m still majorly missing something. I appreciate your help😊
@@alexmartin466 Oh I might be old school, I use my Logitech mouse with my iMac even though I got a trackpad. A good old 2 button mouse with a scroll wheel is by far the optimal solution for me personally. =) Sincerely, Mike

Really useful Mikael!!! Many thanks! I am currently wrestling with quantising audio myself at the moment, and this has really helped.

You are the best Mike. I mean it. One of the things I like most of your videos is the short length of them, focusing in a single aspect. Thanks
Thank you Joe, Logic is such a deep and complex software that there are simply so many things to cover one by one like this, imho. =)
Sincerely,
Mike
Tack mannen! Räddade en helt kaosig körloop med denna teknik!

Wow this is super helpful! Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!!
Love it. It works great on percussive, rhythmic lines. I'm guessing it will work on legatto parts as long as you find the right spots to move
Great stuff, Mikael! Thank you.
Clear, helpful, and easy to understand. Thank you so much!
Excellent tutorial - thank you!

Is there a good alternative to vocalign in Logic that isn’t as time consuming as flex time dragging?
Thanks dude you're a pro
how does this apply to MIDI tracks?

Nice one Mike, Ta!
my quantize tool isn’t showing up in the track inspector menu, is there a reason for that?
How would you quantize a sample that is both faster and slower than your own song?

That Bonus Tip gets me anxious everytime. I feel like that's what Mikael says at the end of his night with his wife.
Can anyone tell me why my usb cable isn't working no more on my logic software I can't record through my mic?
Thank you Mike :)
