@ Thanks! I’m excited to get my hands on it. I’ve watched most of your videos and they’ve all been helpful, thanks for putting out some quality content on this great machine. I’m going to flightsafety.
Hello, John Please continue to make these insights into the Citation X. It is without doubt, a beautiful airplane and I to will buy Flightfx X on release day. Kind Regards Paul
Found your channel while searching for and researching the X for an acquisition for a Family member! Always enjoyable and full of information! Love this jet! Looks like they now want to look more at a Challenger 604 for more cabin space… anyway amazing job!! Tks
Well, I’m glad you found the channel! A 604 is a great option. Usually people sell the Citation X and end up going with a challenger for that exact reason. So glad to hear that you enjoyed the video. Enjoy your flying!
I have one additional question if you don’t mind… a bit concerned with the Proline 4 being an obsolete flight system… in your opinion will this be an issue supporting over say a five year ownership window? Should we only consider an aircraft that has been already upgraded to the Proline Fusion? What’s your take for your aircraft? Curious as it’s an expensive move to install a Fusion system! Thanks in advance.
She may be an older bird, but she is still fun to fly. I’ll be sad when they start becoming obsolete and start leaving our company. Until then, I’ll keep flying it with a smile in my face. 😁
I flew the B757 for 19 years, retired now, and many of the things you said were the way we operated that aircraft ("You can't go down and slow down at the same time" - Deploy the speedbrakes as soon as the main wheels touch - Push the control yoke forward as you deploy max reverse, otherwise the nose WILL pitch up quite dramatically. Like your admiration for the Cessna I loved the 75 and thought it was probably the best Boeing ever. I must try the Citation when it comes out for MSFS, and look forward to any further tips you have.
Hi John! Thanks for the great video, excited to see the FlightFX C750 soon! Hope you and yours are having a wonderful holiday season! I had a couple questions if you don't mind. Are the higher FLs (above 410) really that much smoother? I know there's other operational reasons to be up there (routing, fuel burn), but a common thing I hear about biz jets is the smoother ride above commercial traffic stuck in the 30s. In your opinion, what would big the biggest gripe C750 pilots would have about the plane? Thanks for your time!
Thank you so much! Don’t mind the questions at all. I find that the higher flight levels are indeed smoother. We are typically above the weather, especially if we are up at 45,000 or 47,000 feet. Glad you enjoyed the video and I hope you enjoy the FlightFX 750 when it comes out!
Thank you for every video. I‘m looking forward to the X from FlightFX too! And I think the most people who buys the Jet for MSFS will operate it like „as real as it gets“. Your videos helping us to understand the airplane!👍
Great video of some procedures and insights of the C750. I have a question too if you don't mind. When I have flown the Citation X in the sim X-Plane 12 I put as an example .90 mach as cruise speed in the FMS (in the VNAV Page I believe) and I fly at FL450, but in the cruise detent it only reaches .889 mach. At that time I found that weird so I used the CLB detent and I reached .907 or .908 mach. You mentioned that the N1% for the CRZ detent is based off the maximum it can take at x altitude and x temperature. But is the VNAV speeds you put in the FMS for climb/cruise not taken into account into those N1 calculations? if not, is there a reason for you to put a specific .x mach as cruise speed in the FMS?
I used simbreif C750 profile ,I always try to get match M number as the flight log ,or if temperaure is no the same ,TAS. It works perfect fuel wise and timing.
Great presentation John, I’m impressed! Many of the techniques you described are similar to the Challenger (the metal one😂) and the Global. Merry Christmas, and all the best to you and yours!
Interesting technique on flaps 5 to get slowed down at 10k feet, makes sense I just haven’t seen that technique. I’ve always seen the throttles to idle and use the speed brakes to keep the speed under control. Most don’t go flaps 5 until around 200kts as we turn to final (or before if necessary). Thanks for the video!
That’s is a spectacular brief / debrief on the TEN! Thanks for posting, very much appreciated.
I just got a job on a X and I head for initial next month, thanks for the video!
That’s awesome! I hope the video helps. Are you going to FlightSafety or CAE? And congratulations on the X job! You will love the airplane!

Will do! Thanks for the comment. FlightFX is working really hard to make a great virtual Citation X and I’m looking forward to it!

Grest video, looking forward to putting all these tips in practice on the flight fx

Cannot WAIT for the FlightFX Citation X. I hope that you are able to keep giving them input to help hone the flight model after release!
Im only had flown this plane on Xplane12 pc simulator, and its a joyful plane.Im gonna try all this knowledge when I have the chance.
Thanks.
Thank you John for this video

Probably, in most ways, the ultimate private jet! A firm favorite of all who love aviation and the spirit of excellence❤❤

Great video!
What type of camera do you use in the cockpit?
Thanks! GoPro 11 Black
Very interesting.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
No mistaking the X on the ramp. It makes you wonder how a Phenom 100 even gets off the ground.
