New subscriber. TFS very informative. I brought a cricut about 3 years ago. It is still in the box. Now I will play with it. Thanks ❤ your sign is beautiful 😊
I was at a wedding that had a Reverse image, GLASS mirror sign and our matching invitations of the sign. I asked the wedding planner in Sydney about them and she said it's a theme from the 1930's which was extremely popular during the depression for pubs and stores. Something the Bride and Groom can hang in their home for their lives as it doesn't yellow or break down after 70 years... Sure beats acrylic, which will yellow from UV Radiation.
I am trying to create this design, however when I put the measurements in for the square, it is too large. How can I create the square in the view in which it shows when you are completing the tutorial? Other than the 20x32, are there other measurements needed? Thank you.
This might be a dumb question - I have only used my Cricut for paper - but why do you have to use transfer tape? It seems like it would be easier to mirror the cut and apply the vinyl directly.
I’m just ordering my Cricut and I’m wondering, how did you know it was going to be straight on your plexiglass? Did you put guide markings on it? I saw a mat underneath but it was removed when you stuck the sticker down. I’m confused!
First of all I love the sign, but I do have a question about your background, how many pcs did you use to make the whole background (talking about the greenery background)? Thanks 😊
Hi and thank you for this video! I'm about to make a similar sign for my wedding soon and I wondered - do you need to sand the back of the acrylic sheet before painting it, so that the paint adheres better? And do you use any primer/sealer over the paint? Thanks.
I’m learning as well, and some videos I watched they used “mod podge” to seal the backing and left it overnight. And some said they don’t seal at all 🤷♀️
Hi ! I don’t sand before painting the back and I also don’t seal. You could seal it if you want. Maybe with a few coats of mod podge… or even clear spray paint maybe .
Thank you ! Yes they were from lowes. I’ll link them here 😊 www.lowes.com/pd/Blue-Hawk-3-Pack-Polyester-Flat-3-in-Paint-Brush-Set/1000464385?cm_mmc=shp-
Hi Melissa! This turned out beautiful! 😍 I am making my very own first welcome design and I’m super excited! But I was wondering how much you charged for this? Because I am new to this I don’t really know how much to charge. Thanks in advance!
Sorry for my late reply. What I like to do is check Etsy to help with pricing. Depending on what size I’m making, I’ll sell it for around the price others on Etsy are selling it 😊 hope this helps !
The easiest way is to create a template(by inserting a cricut shape) with the exact measurements of your sign and then place your words inside the template, adjust accordingly.
Beautiful! ☺️ Question, what would the price range be on this size acrylic sign for renting or selling? I know Keeping in mind the cost of the acrylic, time etc! Just an estimate….Understand if you decide not to answer. 💕
Such a beautiful design! Is there an easy way to remove the vinyl so you can reuse the sign for different clients? If you scrape the letters off do you damage the board? I've just ordered a clear circle disk for my events business but haven't tried it yet
Thank you 😊 Yes you can easily remove it then wipe it off with some alcohol. You can do it with your hand to avoid scratching the acrylic sheet. You can also use removable vinyl as well and it will be easier to remove. It can totally be reusable 😊
Wait so you only do these for local people who you can pick the acrylic signs back up from? I’m a little confused. Do you tell them they are renting it? This is a legitimate question I am not being facetious💟💟💟💟💟💟
You can make them to rent or sell it for them to keep. Totally up to you. If you rent it you would personalize it and notify them that you will pick up the sign after the event. If your selling it to someone for them to keep you can do local pick up or ship it. These are very durable and won’t break in transit.
I purchased the Leisa font, followed all the instructions as to how to unzip and install. I still can't find it in Design space. I am so frustrated! Can you help?
Hi thank you. I think I could benefit from. This video in my craft stall. Can I ask how much I could possibly sell for please. UK. Again thank you for your and tutorials 👏

Yes, usually.

What was the font size for the welcome part? Also thank you for this video!!
Were you able to find who makes the brush and where you purchased it? (Beautiful sign!)

How do you get the welcome @ 22 inches to print in one piece on a maker? I changed the page size to 12x24 still not working.
I was wondering the same thing.
This
is beautiful BUT how did you ungroup the welcome part. I can't seem to ungroup on my cricut.
Thank you💜💜

@@MelissaCrafter how do I add a picture?
Love this! Thanks for sharing! Did you seal the pain afterwards?
Thank you 😊💖 no I didn’t seal it
Hello! How do I know what size to make my fonts for a size that big? Thank you!
The easiest way is to create a template(by inserting a cricut shape) with the exact measurements of your sign and then place your words inside the template, adjust accordingly.
Why did u buy the svg? U could have just downloaded the font n write it urself?
120 ml paint is enough for one project?
Did you put anything on the back of the paint? So it won't come off?
Beautiful! ☺️ Question, what would the price range be on this size acrylic sign for renting or selling? I know Keeping in mind the cost of the acrylic, time etc! Just an estimate….Understand if you decide not to answer. 💕
Hi amazing what size sheet did you use
I want to make this but I don’t have that special mat do I really need to buy it ?
Thanks
Hello, I might’ve missed it, but what size is the sheet you used to make this sign?
Did you buy the Times New Roman font and then upload it? I have a cricut subscription and I cannot find the Times New Roman font.
How do you keep the brush strokes from being seen from the front?
Use a sponge or soft brush.

And the acrílic paint it's easy to remove too? Doesn't scratch?
Can you remove the paint , to customize every event
What font is the welcome
Hey, I was just wondering how long it took for the paint to dry? Like how far in advance should I make this board for a party?
It dries pretty quick. I usually let it dry over night before adding the vinyl . Once the vinyl is on, it good to go 😊
I purchased the Leisa font, followed all the instructions as to how to unzip and install. I still can't find it in Design space. I am so frustrated! Can you help?
hello everyone. what is the program Canvas that she used? how I downloaded? thank you for your help
Can this acrylic paint be removed for reuse of the acrylic sheet?
How thick is your acrylic sheet? 2mm or 4mm?
If o had to make the lettering for my daughter in law and send in the mail. How would you do it to keep it I damaged? She has the acrylic
Mail it in a hard card board envelope.
Hi thank you. I think I could benefit from. This video in my craft stall. Can I ask how much I could possibly sell for please. UK. Again thank you for your and tutorials 👏
Hi acrylic paint usually comes off very easily. Even if I just scratch by mistake, it comes off . Y is that?
Melissa a new subbie here. Can you explain/show how do you enlarge and thicken your letters. I can't seem to get it and I notice you didn't show that.
Click on your text.. on the top you can see the sizing of your text . There’s going to be a small lock 🔒. Unlock it and you’ll be able to resize the letters or make them thicker .
Hi..how to I add the picture of the couple to my acrylic sheet

@@MelissaCrafter how much would you charge for this
Hi how do you remove paint from acrylic sign.
Soo pretty ! I want to recreate this; do you recommend we seal the paint in the badk?
My question exactly
I didn’t seal it and it was fine.
Mine peeled! Thank God I did a test one first. I wanna know with what to seal it with
My paint always is streaky when hald up against sunlight, do you recommend anything to avoid this?
Add another coat .
Do you coat the paint with anything so it doesn’t chip?
No I didn’t seal it with any and it held up well
Can I ask what blade do you use for cutting vinyl?
which type of colour u use in back side (oil paint, acrylic or any special color)
I mentioned in the video that it was acrylic paint
May I ask what size mat are you using
Hi which colour you use for paint . I mean how can I get this I am from India what is the name of this paint
Hello 👋 Did you use the 12x24 mat to cut this?
Yes 😊
Absolutely beautiful. What would you charge for something like this?
This size goes for around $125-$150.
Where you get that at
What is the name of the font that you used and where did you get them?
I say it in the video
How do you ship these to the customer?
Do you seal the acrylic?

Can the permanent writing be removed
Yes . It’s permanent vinyl but can be removed like a sticker . You can also use removable vinyl and it will be a bit easier to remove. After removing just use some alcohol to clean up and stickiness from the vinyl.
