    The pin through the middle won’t work if you’re using a hard surface. But there’s a way to do it I think. If you mark out the diameters underneath and put stickers on (this way doesn’t even have to be a square) then flip it and locate into place. If you then get a non permanent pencil and, while the turntable is turning touch the pencil where you think the middle is. If it’s off it will draw a small circle. Move the pencil until the circles get smaller and end up with a point. (Or you could work out the centre of that circle. )That should do it. Then mark that with a permanent marker and erase the pencil circles.

    oh ps ....you mention blue or white tack ....what is that? a special non permanent glue?
