I had this one when I was little but I wasn't good at all at figuring out what it needed so it never lasted past the second stage. I don't have it anymore and really miss it now and wanna get a new one but they're so hard to come by new and unopened on the internet :/
Oh! Thank you so much for letting me know! I had read that there was no pause feature on the Dino. With a Tama, you can just leave the clock setting the time, and it halts everything. Thanks again, I'll remember that. ^_^
Dinkie Dino's evolutions depend on diet. The burger and chicken leg will turn him into the T-Rex, the carrot and apple turn him into an Apatosaurus, and the ramen noodles turn him into I think the Triceratops? The ice-cream can be enjoyed by any of the evolutions, as an extra tip. I don't have a Dinkie Dino, but I have a Space Creature from the same line of pets.
Poor little Dinkie. Well, good thing about them is that you can just start them over again. They really are impossibly cute. Too bad they don't have a pause feature.

Someone said that by keeping the clock up on the screen, the dino is actually paused. Now, I just tested this, because I was curious (and will be uploading a video soon about it). After leaving the clock up for an hour, I came back to see that two of his food and water bowls had depleted. So, my main thought was, there is no pause feature, just as most other people have said. However, there was a little thought in the back of my head that it could actually be pausing the game. But, when you clear the clock - the game "catches" up with time and presents all the miss-cares that would have taken place if the clock had not been pulled up. That however, seems more complicated than perhaps this little vintage pet was ever designed to be. It's an intriguing thought none-the-less. Perhaps this has already been discussed time and time again in forums? xD
can u tell me which one is more demanding? i had this one when i was a kid and i miss it. But i just ordered tamagotchi v1 because it costs less and i never had the experience with the original.
I was so sad! :( This little one I've concluded it is actually way more needy than a vintage Tamagotchi, and it takes 9 days apparently to reach adulthood! That being said though, it's really sweet and is definitely a very well made and adorable virtual pet. When I have more time, I will hatch a new egg and hope to get it to adulthood!
my dinkie didnt last 24 hours. LOL but i think i forgot it at home when i went to work. im spoiled by the nanny in the tama's lol or the pause feautres. lol
Oh man, haha! Yeah, at first I was like - this is a pretty easy pet to care for. I was so shocked to see that he had died! I realized, hmm... this pet actually is way more needy than my tamas. XD I think part of it is the animations are so slow. I decided to start running my Osutchi and Mesutchi pair, and had originally planned to rehatch the little dino. But, I don't think I can keep up with all of them! I think the dino needs one on one attention, lol. Still, it's such a cute pet. =3
he is ridiclously cute, but being at work for 8+ hours i just couldnt run him... so i never restarted him again. i had always wanted one because their so cute. but nope... he hangs out with the rest of my unplayed tamas.

i started off with dinkie dino and i prefer them over the tamagotchi. you cant go wrong with either though.
