how long do the batteries tend to last on this unit? I tested taking the batteries out and there’s no save state so it worries me about making lots of progress and losing it once the batteries die 😢

The 4u and 4u+ is still the best color tama, i'm super disappointed that they didn't just expand on the features of the 4u in future releases, instead of what we got now...the uni is such a downgrade.

I had this one when I was little but I wasn't good at all at figuring out what it needed so it never lasted past the second stage. I don't have it anymore and really miss it now and wanna get a new one but they're so hard to come by new and unopened on the internet :/

I am running a set myself. I really am wondering if they can still mate since they are 1 yr and 6 yrs since I reset the boy because I had set it back an hour thinking I would like that but did not. I know they have to be adults but wondering if the 5 day difference will be a problem? Came back to add that I ended up with the blob face overnight on my male also before resetting him because he got too heavy. It was cute but freaked me out. I thought i broke him lol

I'm still trying to determine why Kusatchi (the plant one) only lives for 24 hours if it's the second-worst care one, yet Takotchi being the worst lives for 48 hours. Only have tested on my American P2, so once I'm done going for Charitchi on my Japanese P2 V2, I'm going to test to see if perhaps the programming was "accidentally corrected" for the US localization. Been experimenting on vintage Tamagotchi programming for years, and this theory is long overdue for a test!

i started off with dinkie dino and i prefer them over the tamagotchi. you cant go wrong with either though.
