Love the tractor sweater. So cute! The pearls look lovely on your belt. Trust your instincts with it. I visited Knitting for Olive today in Copenhagen on holiday. I wanted to buy all the yarn there and spent too much but I’ve got everything I need for my Birthday cast on next week- a Holly Sweater in the original colours. Hopefully it will be ready for Christmas so I can wear it 🤞I’m not such a quick knitter as you though. 😂
Thank you so much! Im trying to go with my instincts for all things related to the wedding dress🥰 It's a crash course in trusting the process😅 What a dream to be able to visit knitting for Olives store!! I totally understand wanting to get everything! Congratulations on your upcoming birthday, and good luck with your birthday cast on! I hope you'll get it done in time❤️
As always ...great watching you...When I did beading on my daughters Wedding Dress I found the seed beads looked much better softer and more decorative...just a thought
Really love a variety of pearls, but you do you! They look really good regardless! Since the dress is a large thing i actually think the embellishment is welcome, and doesn't detract from the cables in a bad way at all
I love the pearls and pattern you chose for the belt for your wedding dress. I think smaller pearls on the front of the dress would look lovely!! You did a fabulous job with your floats on the Tractor sweater!! I think you should make that last Sophie scarf you want to gift for Christmas to have as you other kind of mindless knitting project. Have a great week❤❤
Thank you! I think I'm going to do a mix of pearl sizes on the wedding dress. I have some inspiration pictures like that, but I don't know how it will actually turn out on my dress😅🥰 Making the last Sophie scarf is a really good idea! Have a great week!
The pearls are beautiful!! Another thing that could work is seed beads to give you a little sparkle with the pearl, or even if you feel the pearls are taking over, maybe just a little seed bead- but it's GORGEOUS! I'm so excited to see the end dress. I wish I had been a knitter when I got married. I had pearls on my dress and they were lovely. Every knit is gorgeous! Kimberly
I’ve been watching all your recent videos and I don’t think I have ever commented, so hello from a silent watcher! I love all of your knits and my gosh you are speedy! That tractor jumper may have to become a knit for my nephews! I too cannot decide what to knit next so your not alone friend!! 🎉
Hii! Thank you so much! Some weeks are definitely speedy-er than others😅🥰 I really recommend the tractor sweater! Choosing what to knit next is the most difficult thing when it comes to knitting🙈
I just love the way you added pearls to the belt and where you placed them - perfection! I totally sympathize with your feelings of wanting to knit all of the things all at once, which can make it so hard to decide what to do next! It sounds like you might want to make your son another colorwork sweater as a next project? I am glad to hear you saying such great things about Drops Daisy, as I still have a sweater quantity waiting in the caramel color to make the Stick Season sweater. Hope you and your family have a nice week!
I like the peals and the placement more and more as I keep adding pearls! I really have faith that it's going to be exactly what I'm envisioning🥰 It's so hard to know what to knit next! Every project I consider sounds like the perfect thing to knit right NOW😂 I think I'm leaning more towards continuing making colorwork sweaters for my son! I hope you'll have as great of a time knitting with Drop Daisy as me! Have a nice week🥰
I wonder if you did the largest tractor sweater size in a larger gauge for your fiancé? With more of a traditional Icelandic aran weight gauge (16-18st/10cm) you might be able to make one without much modification. I would check out a free pattern for a bottom up Icelandic style for stitch counts and compare with the largest size for the kid's tractor sweater. Hope that makes sense. Plus if you knit with a larger gauge there won't be too many more stitches of colorwork to do than the 6 y/o size. :) Great job!!!
Love the pearls nestled in the cables on the belt! They are so pretty and whimsical. That tractor sweater turned out amazing! Congrats on tackling 3-colors colorwork. As for your next knit, do you have any more christmas projects planned that you could cast on and work up fairly quickly? I'm currently working on socks for gifts in the background while working on other projects, but it feels like i'm accomplishing something because socks are small (even though they are knit on 2.25 mm needles)
Thank you!! The placement really grew on me as I've added more pearls! I feel like I can conquer almost anything after having done 3-stranded colorworka I don't really have a lot of planned Christmas projects. I should probably sit down soon and plan what I'm making😅 I wish I was more of a socks knitter! I've always wanted to be one!
Yes, I agree. The pearl changes the look of the cables, I need to try it on/do more to see if I like it better this way or not. I'm leaning towards liking it better this way. But I'm not going to do the same for the cables on the actual dress🥰

Thank you! I'll look into seed beads🥰
I love the pearls on the belt. Your dress is going to be beautiful.
Thank you!!

I really like that too! Im thinking of doing a more varied look for the actual dress! The more pearls I sow on, the better I like it! Thank you🥰

I really like the pearl belt! Very pretty!
Thank you!! Im liking it more and more as I go! I think that's a good sign
Love the tractors 🚜🚜🚜
Me too!! I hope my son will grow to love it!

Thank you! I hadn't thought of that possibility😅 That is such a good idea! And changing the gauge so I won't have so many stitches would be perfect🥰

The large pearls detract from the cables, while the smaller trio embellish the cables. With the large pearls, the cables become a texture.
I was thinking the same, that smaller pearls would suit the cable better. But whatever you decide, it is lovely.
