You are doing amazing about getting through your ‘basket of shame’ and even weaving in ends as you finish a project. You will be so very happy when you don’t have that basket anymore. Keep at it, it’s really important so the pieces can be used or gifted instead of just sitting. You deserve a pat on the back because you are making great effort and will be so pleased with yourself. It really dosen’t take a lot of time and is a really nice feeling.
I am so excited to see your Dagmar blocked (and mine lol). I would definitely buy another skein of yarn for the Celeste if you can't find more at home or from your family. The leftovers will go in another colour work project or kids toy or whatever. The way you tied the blue Sophie is exactly how I wear mine and it does look good in my opinion. I wear mine with any top/sweater that goes with the colour. Love it with a white button up shirt. And a cardigan on top or a v-neck sweater if the shirt is not warm enough. It would like so cute as a pop of colour with the Dagmar! And the sweater no 20 too!
Hei Oline, I love watching your videos. So inspiring. You're always working on such fun patterns. The Celeste is beautiful. Would you be happy with it if there was more color in it? Having the body in just the grey really helps to show off the stunning yoke. Anyway, I'm sure whatever you decide to do will be awesome. Happy knitting!!! Jillian
On your Celeste Sweater, you will still have a great stashbusting project if you bought one more skein to finish off. It’s just one skein, you will still have succeeded and you may use more of that one ball than you realize. It looks great as it. Search for and if necessary, just buy another ball. Don’t let it end up a UFO. Your son will love his new sweater and look amazing in it. The rest of your projects are looking great.
Definitely buy a skein! The easiest and not costly for one skein. You could use any left over in a pair of mittens for your son with the other colors in the sweater.
For the celeste... can you work the second serve with yarn frogging off the first until they're even? then... change to red to finish and do a bit of colorwork or something to fill the little space before the ribbing? just a thought. Also as for a lace sweater... I am finishing the "peppermelon" sweater by Thea Colman and I have literally knit it in just 5 days because it was so quick and satisfying. such easy lace but so beautiful. I did it in white to wear at a holiday event and it looks amazing. Highly recommend!!!!
I might do that too! But then id have to figure out colorwork that would work well with the yoke😅 Thanks for the tip about "peppermelon" I live a good quick knit!
I'm thinking about the mohair skirt (amazing to finally see it cast off!!!), and if you're looking for some extra weight, you could maybe look to adding some beads to the hem as well so that you have a bit of weight to then allow it to spin. I so relate on the basket of shame...mine is a folded pile on my desk that keeps growing lol. My fiance keeps telling me I need to do something about it haha Edit: Oh! I forgot to mention about the Celeste: it's definitely a bit daunting to have to pick out the italian bind-off, but I think the red pop on the bottom of the body and on the sleeves would look so fantastic
Hi Oline, I am thinking about knitting Sweater No 20 with Alaska. Could you please tell me how many skeins you started with? I was going to get 19 for the biggest size, but now wondering if that would be enough. Would love your thoughts. Thank you for all your lovely content.
Hi! I got 19 skeins myself for size 2, and as I said, I'm not sure that will be enough😅 It also depends on the length you want the body and sleeves to be, but I'd say you definitely need more than 19 skeins. Good luck❤️
You are such a beautiful soul. When is your wedding and how does your son like his tractor sweater? I know he wanted it in blue… Hugs from Maryland in US. I am Polish though and learned how to knit when growing up.
Thank you! The wedding is in late February, the 22nd. He hasn't used his tractor sweater much. It is 3 sizes too big for him currently, and he still flips between red, blue, and green tractors, being the best😅 Sending hugs back❤️
This might seem mean but I think if I were you I wouldn't let myself cast anything else on until the basket of shame was empty lol. Seems like a punishment but then you get a doubly great reward when you finish!! an empty basket and a new cast on. :)
You're absolutely right. That's probably what I should do😅🙈 But I'm not going to haha. Knitting is my break time, and I don't want to put too many rules on myself.
@@norwegianknitter How lovely to wear a totally hand made wedding dress ! You are going to have such happy memories. ( A little English spelling Lesson : we sow seeds we sew seams ) Both proounced the same, but don't worry - your English is very good ! ) 🙂♥
You are doing just great ❄️ amazing knitting projects ❄️

I was thinking of using the chart, depending on the number of stitches on the sleeve.
In my opinion you should buy another skein for the Celeste sweater. It’s only one skein and your sweater is like you want it to be.

@ Can’t wait to see you on this dress and your son on his tractor sweater at some point. 🥰

@ totally understand. For me.. rewards are super motivating so it works but yeah if it just feels like a rule then it’s not fun
Jag har lagt upp Dagmar cardigan idag och skulle gärna vilja vara med i er knitalong😊
Jippi! Har du Instagram?
Why not use your colors on the lower sleeve on your son's sweater? A darker lower sleeve could be good to keep clean!
Are you going to wear an 'underskört' with your beautiful wedding dress ?
Yes! I've gone with my sister to buy fabric and then she'll sow some kind of slip dress or underskjørt❤️
