Love that you kept the top mount swapping to front mount increases your spool time and the hood scoop is actually functional.
Now they just have to remember the roof vent for the inside temps....
And front mount is more likely to get hit
Lmao what you don’t understand is that it doesn’t matter. Most rally cars will run either a FMIC or a TMIC. It doesn’t matter. If you run the proper turbo setup you don’t have to worry about lag. It’s okay bubby. The more you know. 🥰

@@fantasiafox22 actually with flat 4 motors the TMIC goes directly into the throttle body versus when you move it up to the front bumper you have and extra 3 foot of pipe you have to move air through which I promise will slightly increase turbo lagg not dramatically but it will increase it.

I don’t think that was full tilt, that thing needs space to show its potential. Sick nonetheless.
If you put the yellow dot on the tire right where the valve stem is, it will call for less weight when balancing. Red dot is the heaviest side of the tire. If there is no yellow dots, always put it on the DOT. I'm a tire tech. Will save a lot of weights! love the subie! I have a 2014 WRX hatch, lifted 3" on RaceWorks Coilovers, with Method Racing Wheels. fun cars! would love to rally.
You don’t balance gravel rally wheels.
@AJ_Irving how come? Your tires are spinning faster through gravel, dirt. Wouldn't wobble as much when your tires are spinning over 100mpg. I feel like it's a needed thing to balance wheels going that fast.
@@JJaumot91 weights don’t stay on and tyres come pretty close to balanced anyway it’s just your wheels and you normally don’t have clearance due to brakes or scrapers, only time you get a wobble is if you fill the spokes with dirt if you have been into a bank, but it’s common practice not to balance gravel or tarmac rally tyres.
@AJ_Irving I got ya. But I do know the yellow, and red dots if marked on tires like those in the video are there for a reason to let the tire techs know where to mount it for the best balance since those weigh more on one side. Most tires do not come perfectly weighted all around since it's nearly impossible.

Beadlocks are good, but there’s an internal beadlock used for off-road four wheel driving here in AUS. Company is called SecondAir Beadlocks look them up they’re super crafty 👌🏽

That launch @13:25 made me really excited to see you compete in rally! I come from Ireland and first got a ride in a rally car driven hard at 10 years old in a Ford Escort mk2, I couldn't even see over the dash lol but it's one of my best childhood memories. I like everything you do on your channel but this rally sidequest has me proper excited. I hope the rally bug bites you! 😁

Dude it’s like a rally show car. Looks so good. I’m painting my 1985 Subaru rx turbo 4 door sedan almost the exact same color. It’s the factory Subaru regatta red from 1985 so I’m doing the new regatta red pearl. And it has an 06 sti motor and 4.44 5 speed and 400 wheel torque, it’s the very first wrx ever made. Hell they didn’t even have the w yet therefore it’s the awd rx turbo.

The ribs on the side of the tires are there to help deflect rocks and of course more protection against punctures.

Napa has good filters but they cost more. The Napa Gold are made by Wix. The silver line was a cheaper lone from Wix but when I worked there years ago (over 20) they were talking about going to a different manufacturer just for the silver line. They were trying to compete with oreilly and Autozone pricing. The silver bypass valve was a rubber flap where the gold was an actual valve assembly not just a piece off a mudflap.

We run 30 hot with rally tyres. Start 26 then bleed to 30 hot. If get too hot above 30 they start to delaminate quickly

Congrats Adam. You can see from the dust why we start the top tier drivers at 2 minute intervals, and (if available) water truck the roads. The rest of the drivers leave at 1 minute intervals and suck everyones dust. (ARA Rally: Oregon Trail and Olympus rally).
You should still inspect the oil pump, the screws on the back like to back out and make you drop oil pressure and you won’t know till it’s too late 🙃
Future reference WIX, Napa Gold, Stock Subaru (Obviously), and Mazda RX8 all 100% have the correct bypass pressure rating! I prefer the WIX filters.
