Doc is still trying to get me figured out. Treating for PMR with prednisone. I had 6 months of excruciating pain in shoulders, biceps and hips before I could get into the rheumatologist. Speckled pattern and titer of 1280. I do have low numbers of centemeres and a low positive NXP 2 antibody. No real crest symptoms, but some trouble swallowing and dx with globus sensation last year. Now, more of finger, toe and wrist pain. The CT of my lungs showed no fibrosis, but pulmonary hypertension and accidentally found clogged coronary issues in my heart....hope to get that build up corrected sooner than later. Your video are very informative 🙂. Thanks.
I want to say thank you for these videos. They are very helpful because I can watch them multiple times, rewind, and take notes in a way that you can't really do in the moment in a doctor's office. I'm wondering if you've ever made a video about relapsing polychondritis in particular or about rheumatic conditions in general where there is no single associated blood test?
I tested positive for anca, but negative for the specific test. That was maybe 8 months ago, now I’m negative for anca and negative for both specific test as well. That was confusing to me. But I’m glad their negative.
I went to my GP last year with a swollen finger did bloods got a positive ANCA the results was query vasculitis, but because I have IBD the GP looked online and said as I thought that's positive with IBD no further investigation fast forward 18 months said finger is completely deformed and the next finger is now swollen and inflamed so finally got an urgent referral to rheumatology. Not sure if vasculitis can cause this also got possible raynaud's but not been diagnosed.
Hello, Can you please answer a question for me? I year ago I had a positive ANCA test with atypical perinuclear staining with no antibodies detected. I was very sick with the same symptoms I am experiencing presently. Now, 1 year later I had a positive ANCA test with atypical perinuclear staining once again, but this time I tested positive for MPO antibodies. In some cases do the MPO antibodies take some time to show up on a blood test? In other words, early in the disease is it possible to not have developed the MPO antibodies. Also, it important to mention that both tests were run twice to confirm the results were accurate. Both times I had the ANCA test and also a separate test to confirm that the antibodies were present. I would be very grateful if you could help me understand why the antibodies took a year to develop. Thank you in advance
My Daughter just tested positive for ANCA but they did not explain anything else but that she was positive for Anca she is getting a Cather and Drs are talking about a kidney transplant.. But watching your video I believe you really can help us.
This was very interesting! Thank you! Do you have any video's that address what it might mean if you are ANCA positive but ANA negative? I sort of have this idea that ANA is supposed to be positive with most Rheumatological stuff. Thank you!

Great video really easy to understand. Thank you 😊
What type of imaging can be done to identify and help in confirming a diagnosis of Vasculitis?

I have the atypical ANCA and I feel absolutely awful. I’m curious to see what comes of it.
