This car still has a stock tune, but the aftermarket exhaust makes it pop during downshifting at certain RPM, so we wanted to highlight it. Thanks for your feedback. I'm glad you liked the video!
I got my Cobb on sale at Cobb’s website with a discount and my total was 805. It was an absolute steal and feels amazing and the looks are awesome. Sound is tame but can be aggressive, plus she is lightweight!
Ah man, AWE touring cat back would for sure have gotten 23,24 out of 25 stars. Cheaper than the COBB, has two style options, and sounds just as good if not better.
ANYONE: I bought the Invidia N2 and just put it on. I am curious if there is a break in period where the exhaust drone calms down a bit? The cabin drone is pretty strong. Id really really appreciate if someone could respond!
Unfortunately, the answer is no - the drone does not change after the break-in. Do you still have the stock headers? The drone is significantly worse with anything but the stock header
I hear mixed responses. Some say if the muffler has fiberglass it will become louder as the fiberglass burns off over time, some think it will get more subdued with carbon buildup and the seals settling in. Truth? Maybe somewhere in between or depends on the muffler type. I do feel like gen 1 exhausts tend to have drone on this car. I had an Invidia N2 on my 2022 and it was a little boomy on decel but it seemed like I got used to it (did the sound settle in and mature? I'd like to think so but Bias 🤷♂). Pops and Bangs were there on downshifts but they were kinda subdued. When my brother took a roadtrip with me recently he didn't like the boominess as much, said it sounded a bit like a plane. Didn't seem to bother him as much on hour 15th though. On my 2024 I bought the Cobb as it was on sale for $825 and it is titanium. Initially I was looking at the Awe for their anti-drone midpipe...but...Titanium 😅. The Cobb doesn't seem to have any drone, it screams on initial coldstart, then gets mild until you rev it out or give it a lot of gas. I'm content with it for cruising, it just awakes when you want it to. Apart from the AWE I would've also considered HKS L-II or Borla. But this one works well, it's a little shouty at higher revs (maybe a sound characteristic of Titanium) but the contrary is boominess if you only care about bass, which is why I got the N2 but it wasn't the most comfortable. This one can get some loud pops on downshifts and a bit of burble on slight revs at low rpms (~2000), it's very fun to blip the throttle and hear brap brap brap at low rpms XD

Cobb is on sale right now. Under $900 depending on how much sales tax you get charged.
Downshift pops on the Cobb system are super crisp. No drone and quieter than a muffler delete but cold start is a bit loud.
Correct, cold start is the only time the COBB system sounds "loud"

Do you have to tune your sti after changing the exhaust?
with just a cat back you should be fine, but if you change the downpipe as well then you will need a tune
