Another fantastic product announcement! Also when you do another commuter F40PH run you may want to consider doing COASTER, Metrolink and GO transit for the BBL you have done.
Burlington Northern E units are coming?! Okay, things are getting really interesting now! Also like the glitchiness of Max Headroom, feels just like watching a certain Wang Chung video!
Wow ! This was amazing ! He really polished this nicely compared to the first attempt. This is REALLY good. Hilarious too, but I am really impressed. The hard work was worth it. Outstanding job !
Please consider the current CSX B&O inspired business train F40 units. We understand that they are not exact but we will take them! They will sell well.
CSX 1 and 2 would require all new tooling as they were significantly rebuilt, but at the very least CSX 3 seems to retain the original carbody and would be an fairly easy project. Anything is possible!
@@rapidotrains As I stated, we are fine with just using existing tooling. These will sell well. No one is asking you to retool just for the CSX units. Thanks.
Here is a terrific look at the new GE 44 Ton Diesels from Rapido. Our versions are lettered for the Sacramento Northern and we were very pleased with their performance and how they looked. There is also color film and slides of these in actual action back in the day at the end of this video. These were really neat engines that fit the bill for switching and operating on branch lines and lighter track. They also operated on the Quincy Railroad and that is shown here as well. If you received your pre-orders we hope you liked them as well!
All the commuter stuff is awesome to see being done, however could you make them in N scale? I have an N scale Metra train with both the Kato F40PH and MP36, but I would love to see in N scale the F40PHM.
If you make 210, I will absolutely buy one despite modeling the 1950s. That unit has a lot of appeal, and I think you're missing out on a lot of potential sales if you don't make it. There is one particular Chicago-area railfan I know of who loves F40PHM-2s. She alone would probably buy several 210s.
I didn’t know when to jump in with my comment - The Max Headroom was memorable, but “Password123” caused an audible snort. Thanks for another great vid!
As a modeler of HO in the 1960's, of N in the 1980's and G in the 2010's, those truck-mounted couplers have been bugging me for 60 years! Please make it stop!
Looking forward to the BN commuter trains, one minor detail I saw was that the early CAD drawings shown on the news letter lacked the marker light under the nose on the E units, will those be included on some numbers or will they all be as delivered from rebuild
The HEP E units are still in development so some details may still be a work in progress. We will have a full launch ready later this year with updated information and details.
I agree with Max 100%. The 70's gave us great music and cars.... I still drive my 76' Sierra while listening to 70's rock.. oh also we can't wait for what you guys (and Janet) are bringing us!!!!!!!

Are you guys gonna make the f40phm-2 and the Budd gallery cars in n scale to? I'm hoping so. Beautiful models might have to get one in ho just because of how cool they are.
Post-credit scenes are gold! I can see how trying to produce models of the Chicagoland "gallery" cars would be fraught with danger even for you guys - there are So. Many. Variations! It goes well beyond stainless steel versus painted Cor-Ten steel. The windows get bigger over time, the interiors change (turns out people who use wheelchairs *also* need restrooms - who knew?), etc, etc. I don't recall if the Chicago versions (any of them) that go back to the 1950s were *all* HEP, but if you offer the Vicker-built Canadian Pacific "TownTrain/TrainDeVille" version that ran in Montreal starting in the late 1960s, you'd need to make it *non* HEP - they had generators. Still ... you are the people to do it right. If you dare do these cars in N, remember that your (West) German brother, Arnold, did these in C&NW green/yellow about 50 years ago. Cab car even had markers. Use that as a pattern!! 😀
I see the N-gaugers are still stuck in a digital format. Maybe you should make a MOW crane model to fish them out? We've got one at the B&O railroad museum down here in Maryland, if you need something to scan.
