Dearest Alexa. I love your teaching. I am a 63 years old student. The only thing I don't like is that you read the words in English immediately after when we're still trying to remember the sound you've just gave us. Because until we don't link a word to a phrase, that's all there is...a sound. Your shorts are amazing, why? You don't translate them.I think it's more difficult to keep the sound you just gave us. I learned English and was easier to remember without going back to my language. I believe it takes longer to train de ear or brain? Should I say? You're very good/creative funny. So that's the only thing that for me it's hard to keep the sound. Thanks for caring so much for your pupils. Best to you. Betty
I am not very good with grammar, so I had to look-up the meaning of preposition. For anyone else in the same boat: A preposition is a word or phrase that PRECEDES a noun/ noun phrase /pronoun and POSITIONS the latter relative to another word in the sentence. Hence the term preposition (pre-position). In other words, it describes the RELATIONSHIP between the noun/noun phrase/pronoun with the other word in the sentence. So, in the sentence: "The cat sat on the mat", the relationship between the noun phrase 'the mat' and the other word (in this case, the verb: sat) is described by the preposition "on". There are about 100 different prepositions in the English language. But some of these words can FUNCTION as either prepositions or conjunctions or adverbs depending on how they are used in the sentence. A conjunction links two clauses. So, if the word precedes a clause, rather than a noun phrase, it is functioning as a conjunction. AFTER the show, we had dinner. (Preposition.) AFTER we saw the show, we had dinner. (Conjunction.) An adverb adds to, or modifies a verb, adjective, or another adverb. The cat is INSIDE the house. (Preposition.) The cat is OUTSIDE. (Adverb.)
Thank you for the video Alexa madam😃😊👍 It's really helpful for us. Can u understand spoken french ? Cause i just started this week and i think i can somehow understand a word or two from a whole sentence spoken in french and i wanna fix that ..so what did u do?
@@donjon5899 I can understand most of the words in a sentence if they are spoken slowly. Usually when I hear native speakers speaking really fast, I get confused. Duolingo really helps me.
I tried duolingo for german ..didnt really help in the vocab ..took soo long ...but if i u say it helps in understanding spoken french i'll try it thanks !
Wadellzz I would suggest reading books in French. You start to see all these prepositions used in a natural context so it becomes easier to understand and remember the differences. Dans usually means in/inside. For example, les fromages sont dans une boîte. And en means "in" as in: je suis en France
Hi.. Bonjour! I' m learning french from ur channel.. It's really help.. But I have query.. What did u said after au revoir.. I didn't understand that... Please tell me.. It sounded gud.. But i didn't understand it.. Thank you..

Bonne vidéo pour apprendre le français :) Je suis déjà français et j'habite en France! Si quelqu'un veut pratiquer le français sur Facebook messenger video call, envoie-moi un message privé! See you guys :)
Take a class with other students and a real human teacher - it is the only way. I have used online programmes (rocket languages, rosseta stone) and they help with understanding basic grammar, words and phrases. Useful if holidaying in France so as to ask simple questions. But that is not really learning the language, and you will never ever be able to speak the language even at elementary level or have a simple real-time conversation in French just by learning from an online course in my view. Alexa is great but only as a supplement to real class. French is really hard and there is no easy way to learn it!
