I have 2 of these channel strips and was wondering if you would be willing to convert the ones I have into rack units as you’ve done here. For a few of course. Please let me know. Thank you!

Thanks so much! I'm in Northern California. Happy to talk about pricing if you would like. Channels are going for a bit more expensive now, and the full kit costs about $220USD (plus shipping) for the items from RackNeve, plus the cost of the BOM, which is roughly $250USD. For a build cost, I'd have to think about it, as it takes quite a while to sort through the components and label them. It may get pretty expensive, but happy to look into it if you would like.

Hi Lewis, could you tell me where I can find a fully functional VR eq module, I have been through several and none working fully. If you have a fully functional eq I might be interested. Otherwise if you have any tips regarding most common issue’s you’ve experienced ie recap/bad pots I would like some feedback. Thanks!!

      Hey Jon,
Here is where I got my modules: www.ebay.com/itm/175989604174?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=6IZH-JF4T2O&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=RKXgbkYfTuy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
When they arrived they had been well maintained and recently recapped, so I actually haven’t had any issues with them so far, with the exception of a couple of resistor leads on the back side of one of the pcb’s that had been bent in shipping and were making contact with each other. Just go over everything with a fine tooth comb before racking them.
As far as common issues, these tend to be pretty stable. Replacing the electrolytic caps is certainly a good idea, and definitely check the paper flat cables, as they tend to break, but other than that no complaints so far.
The consoles do often have power supply and heat issues from what I understand, but racked modules with this kit seem to do fine. I’ve left them on for days at a time and they seem fine.
      Hope this helps!
