During our family trip, we wanted to go beyond the beaches and resorts to experience Fiji's rich culture and history. In our search for local gems, we discovered Nakabuta, a traditional pottery village with deep roots in Fijian heritage.
After connecting with Effie, a representative from the village, through a Facebook group for the Outrigger Resort, we arranged a personalized tour. From WhatsApp chats to a video call, Effie made sure our visit would be smooth and memorable.
At Nakabuta, we were welcomed warmly by the villagers, experienced a fascinating pottery demonstration, and learned about the ancient techniques passed down through generations. It was a hands-on encounter with Fijian artistry, history, and culture that left us inspired.
