From humble beginnings in rural USA, Henry Wellcome went on to establish an innovative pharmaceutical business that pioneered medical research around the world. An avid collector and philanthropist, following his death Wellcome's will provided for the creation of the Wellcome Trust.

Lovely introduction to the founder!
The Wellcome Collection is one of my favourite places to visit in London: there's always a fascinating & informative exhibition on. I especially like the Reading Room: perfect place for a break.

What a brilliant short film, particularly liked the animations and historic photographs. My late cousin worked for Wellcome as a research chemist at its Langley Park site.
