as of a game dev/maker myself this was the worst thing they could done because it breaks the games economy which means people have to spend more money to catch up with the economy if they are on a money shortage so they wanted to pay ingame it can be a good desicion but what about the players? and giving 1/1 pets are just wild
idk why they even decided to create an in-game economy if they lack knowledge in economics.

Blox fruits did the same, at one point a really bad hacker managed to hack and change the game announcement system thingy, so they ended up hiring him.
That is probably the stupidest thing a dev could do, instead of banning them they just reward them 💀

Then the hackers just ruin the game by simply finding another method to dupe it will 100% ruin the market on ps99 if the hackers just kept exploiting the method and makes the huge completely worthless OR just trade the pets for the method so they patch it you know creating new accounts is free banning them doesn't help
No rewarding is good, people will try to find bugs and think yas rewarded with something instead of other things so yk.

@@lllonerll6507 the problem is with the value of the titanics, huges and titanics are pretty valuable in the cross trading value and since one of the 1/1 pets were traded for 110 titanics, than we know that it has a HUGE impact
if they wouldn´t have given them a reward they would have made the dupe public and get every exploiter to use it. use your brain
This is just sad people like me who spent thousands on the game wouldnt be even to get those pets even if i gave my intire inventory which has like $1,500 worth of titanics i wouldnt be able to get those and if u didnt know the exploiters have been trying to sell those accounts for absurd amounts of money at this point theyre breaking even roblox tos by crosstrading

This situation is actually crazy itself because exploiters was gifted 1 of 1 pets by devs for getting a issue patched, but Josh/Coylist himself is an actual nice guy, i won a free signed huge from him it was a huge amethyst dragon sogned by him, i got it from one of his like unboxing egg videos in psx, but this drama is so crazy on how that happened.

I’d also add that it doesn’t cost BIG Games anything to spawn a pet and give it to someone. The white hats should definitely be getting money, not a collector’s token. To me, it all comes back to how money-hungry Preston is, the same money-eyes we’ve seen again and again

By that logic you should hate every game, since well most games include gambling, or some sort of lootbox mechanic, by default most people assume pet simulator 99 is just as bad as it's predecessor "psx" but there's no reason to hate on a game, they improved many aspects for the free2play users, it might not be perfect but to be honest It could be worse than it is now, with the current situation I hope Preston has a word with it's Developers as it is 100% wrong for them to give away 1:1 Exclusive pets that no one else can obtain
The thing is, these exploiters first exploited the game and got so many Huges, and then even sold the method to other people for titanics, and after they got too rich with huges they just decided to report it to big games and big games rewarded them with these Titanics, Crazy.... , if only they reported the exploit before using it and spreading it then the reward should be okay, but after abusing it a lot and filling your pockets they decided to report this

Such a stupid situation... People forget that companies like Roblox and rocket league give you special items for finding exploits. Ex the
Boss White Hat and all its retextures is a series of hats given to very few people who were exploiters that helped Roblox. And here are a bunch of children complaining and burning items to show anger of a nice gesture.
It's not like that. They exploited for bad, THEN told the devs and for EVEN MORE stuff.
Think of the hackers as a rich kid. They can get anything they want with a blink of an eye. Now people pay for more for an item, working hours, days, maybe even months on end, and the rich kid gets it for FREE.

This argument of “companies that pay hackers” is true but most of the time they are employees and not random kids that used exploits. Preston asked for this a while back. The tweet is deleted but he asked if someone could hack his game and tell him how. They would be rewarded. I play the game, I'm not mad. The game is for kids, it will help stop hackers. Like u said in vid. Use a hacker to hack and get info. I understand why some are annoyed but it was asked and of it helps keeps the game safe, its needed. Okay, the rewarding with the very best pets may not have been the best move, but they are game items. Yes they got a free in game gift and i think it is better than paying them money. Probably shouldn't have given shinny rb titanic, maybe a rb and make them non transferable. Great video btw. The drama is insane atm and the devs could reply a bit more compassionate. Then again they are all still pretty young and could do with some training on handing difficult matters. (By young I mean, in their early 20s, if that). It is way out of hand. Not sure giving money would be a better choice either, robux maybe.....

Btw, they aren't mad that they got the pets in the first place, they sre mad because #1 the pet is sellable and tradable but #2 they used the exploit to their advantage before reporting. Typically, game devs will only reward players who NEVER used it to their advantage, but in this case they did.

Well, imo I think I might just start hacking and quick sell the titanics for loads of overpays.
Essentially what this boils down to is Pet Simulator runing it's own economy, the devs being ignorant when people give criticism, and people being extremely irrationally angry and destroying 1000s of dollars worth of expensive, limited edition items. Doesn't surprise me, this is nothing new.

I play pet sim but only every now and then but can someone tell me if this was a hacker or not, I managed to get a huge arcade dragon from a 20x arcade egg and I wanted to sell it bc at the time it was worth 720m diamonds so I wanted to sell it at trading plaza but know one was buying so I put on auction to see if anyone would bid but all of a sudden I get disconnected and I wasn’t lagging or anything but in the trading plaza when you auction something and log out you will either get the item or diamonds once you log back in but I didn’t get my pet or diamonds, this also happened to a pet sim UA-camr that goes by the name “Gravycatman”, was this a hacker or something went wrong?
Now I finally what the "rewarding the hackers" thing is about lol. I was pretty confused at first but if theres anyone that still dont understand, in simple terms their just good hackers.
