Ive been dreaming of a channel dedicated to the 3000gt/GTO/Stealth and you made it happen. I want to know everything about this car so I can restore my own. Love it and keep up the awesome work.
Joe I’m very thankful you are taking your time to explain all about this cars and remember me that all this requires patience and love for this cars!! Blessings man and hope you recover and beat cancer my prayers go to you!!
Lord half mercy... the dash is so complicated 😂. I hope I never have to take it apart. Thanks for showing us all the hidden nuts and screws, all the special techniques on how to remove parts without breaking them, and again, a general thanks for all you do!
Another great video, thank you very much for this channel ! It's very hard to find information on this car, I hope you will make a lot of videos on the 3000gt, perhaps some engine/gearbox video ??
Thank you for this video, currently removing dashboard on my 98 VR-4 and it helps a lot. Though for me it was easier to use a thread to remove glove box door stops and to disconnect tweeter I had to push down on lever instead of pulling it as you did.
Happy belated new your to you too my friend! You just answered my last question about should we disconnect the battery. You’re one step ahead of me 😁. Love all your videos! Cheers!
Another great video Joe. I removed my dashboard a while back while cleaning the full interior but didn’t have a good guide so just made it up as I went. Easy when you know how!!
Looking forward to part three! Also Might I suggest Patrons.. this content helps a lot of us and by being patrons we could give back to help make more content and support your Channel. Regards Knightrider-GTO
Please help So I just picked up a 1992 dodge stealth rt tt and it cranks but won't start. Now ecu didn't help. Where should I start. Love your videos. Thanks
Your videos are great! Thank you for tackling these cars, mods and restorations. One question I can't seem to find the answer to: Where does the defrost vent photocell plug into? I want to replace my vents with after market ones but REALLY don't want to take out the dash. Can I access the terminal by removing the glove box per your Part 2 video?
Hi seth. It is possible to remove the sensor by just removing the glove box but it is a very tight spot to get to. I can't find a way of adding a picture for where the plug is. You can either contact me via WhatsApp and I will send a picture or look for yourself once the box is out. Thanks for watching. Joe
I am I'm the process of completing the dash removal on my 94 VR-4 in the United States. I am at the 24M 40S mark. It is 17JUN2024 and the time is 2238 EST.
awesome video it's been 10 years since I removed my dash. I found an almost new one as I need to replace mine. Is it difficult to transfer the center gauges? I can't remember if there were any parts that with old age I might want to have ready. Thanks for the awesome videos.

Joe do you have a video of how to disable the factory alarm as the alarm in my car is triggered every time I open a door. I just bought it and it is a Dodge Stealth ES 1993. The guy that sold it to me don't have a key fob for the alarm he gave just a regular key. Thanks in advance
Hey joe sorry to annoy you again but my cluster needles have been removed to put on a different display plate and the needles never put back on right, my revs read 2.5k when engines actually at 800 and similar with the Speedo, I was wonder is there any way to put the cluster into a "set" position to accurately put the needles on
3000GT / GTO Restoration hello my friend! I just marked the point in the video where the fuel pump relay is located so I don’t have to search for it in the near future. When you click the time stamp, you get directed to that point in the video. I’m going to add a kill switch so people can’t steal my car. thanks for the concern and reply! Again, I really appreciate how thoroughly you make these videos! I would have been searching my whole life for that relay because it’s so well hidden if you hadn’t mentioned it in this video.
Hi Andy. Part 3 will be a full strip down of the Dashboard, including clocks. I will then demonstrate how to repair any warped sections in order to fit new vents. Thanks for watching. Regards. Joe
Hey one thing I'm finding is that when you watch these videos, the more anal retentiive of us really would like to see the bolts or screws used. There are so many its ridiculous. Just a point but could you show the bolts or screws in a little more detail? Otherwise fantastic stuff. Best GTO videos out there. Thanks Joe
Hi Angela I will soon be starting a series of videos showing the complete assembly of the car from bare shell. I will show all of the bolts and fixings as we go along.
Just doing this job ATM and OMG it's actually pretty, let's just say. quite hard. I've got the four bolts out but the column only lowers a bit and not all the way down. I can't see why though. Any ideas anyone?

Crickey. Just thought I'd got the dash free when...nek minit...theres a bloody switch connected behind the oil gauge area. Cannot for the life of me remove it as cannot get any purchase on the thing. It's rather a large one
I laughed so hard when you said “what the hell have I done here”. I think we’ve all been there. Your are an awesome mechanic and inspiration
Joe your drawing of the dash is amazingly realistic! You should have been an artist!

Once the dashboard is out, you will need to remove the heating pipes and then the clocks will be accessible.
Really would like a turbo manifold replacement video
Front or back? Is there a reason for this? It isn't a part that usually needs replacing.

Hi do you have a website to order parts from you
Where can I get auto parts for a Mitsubishi 3000gt 94?
There are probably tens of thousands of suppliers around the world and I can't list them all so I would suggest that you start by looking up mitsubishi dealers in your area. If they don't have the part you need. You could join a forum in your country and ask on the forum.
Thank you!!!!!
I just think it's crazy you don't use any power tools. set on the lowest setting a drill can't even tighten the screw so it can't break anything.

Do you sell some of the parts you remove?
Only if they are surplus to my own needs.
@@3000GTGTORestoration I really need that digital radio you got there :D
It is just a cheap one off ebay.

The antenna rods break a lot due to age but they are still available from mitsubishi
Your missing the step on how to remove the speedometer cable.
The model used in the video does not use a cable. It is electronic speed sensor.
Joe, my climate control display circuit board is burnt. Please assist & bill me please.
