Solid everyday review from a real likable guy. Thank devil dog.
Absolutely the best overview of the Taurus .44 RH that I have seen. This man is knowledgeable, articulate and personable. Being a former Marine and crack shot is just icing on the cake. Found this the other day and quickly subscribed.
I really enjoy your in depth reviews and solid non-biased opinions. Thank you for your content. Oorah!
That thing is beautiful. Taurus on fire lately
This may be the best gun review I have ever seen! Thank you. Detailed, informative, and to the point. Semper Fi
I believe that taurus has really stepped up on their guns in the past couple yrs
I agree it seems there has been a greater focus on quality and customer experience under the new leadership
@@Dayattherange In the 80's I had my own FFL and was a staunch supporter of S&W. Back then Taurus revolvers looked liked a carbon copy of S&W revolvers but their build quality was rather lacking and just didn't care for the Taurus brand, though I LOVED their PT-92 pistol and felt it was an excellent alternative to the more expensive Beretta 92FS. Today I'm highly impressed with most everything Taurus offers now, as their build quality has seriously improved.
@@ComputerLearning0 S&W Is great and better but not $1000ish better lol. I can't justify that difference in price
@@sergej23kv I couldn't agree more. As much as I love S&W, their pricing is **EXPENSIVE** compared to Taurus. Taurus on the other hand, has vastly improved their build quality over the years and I wouldn't have any reservations carrying one as my primary go-to handgun. As you said, it's hard to justify $1,000+ for an S&W when Taurus offers such a great value today.
@@ComputerLearning0 I can afford it but two solid and very good guns are better than one great fancy gun. Math is simple :)
I’m the owner of a Ruger SP101, 3 inch barrel and a S&W 686 Plus, 6 inch barrel. Both are stainless and have beautiful wood grips. I’m a classical guy when it comes to revolvers, but I must admit that the contemporary look of the Taurus is appealing. Great review - Subscribed.
I have the 6" Raging Bull, but I'm really liking the look of that revolver. Nice review...you brought out all of the good (and bad) points!! Thanks for the video. Just sub'd and liked.
I have never been a big fan of Taurus products. But recently purchased a Raging Bull in 454 and I have to say it's a quality piece. I agree that the Taurus Raging products seem to have the quality that most of us look for in a hunting revolver. Thanks for sharing!
That is one of the most beautiful Taurus revolvers I’ve ever seen, would love to get my hands on one. Your attention to detail in your content is fantastic. You earned a sub with this video my friend, looking forward to seeing more of your upcoming videos.
Really enjoyed your review. I'm not a big gun person, however there is an artistry and design that I do find intriguing. Along with the element of form and function you detailed, your care and respect to the gun owner shows the kind of man you are. Overall, I was very impressed by how you articulated and clearly covered thoroughly the characteristics that genuinely excited you about this firearm and it's performance at the range was fun and a pleasure to watch. Thank you, excellent work!!!
This man is the guru of revolvers....love his review's
Your guru failed to understand the rail is for a red dot and not so much a scope because of location and length of the pic rail.
@@jakeroark570 Not really Jake. For my hunting I do not see a reddot as an advantage. Extending the rail over the frame 1 or 2 notches would solve my issue.
Aesthetics on this revolver are amazing. Beautifully made! Great review.
OMG, that gun is gorgeous, this is the best looking revolver I've seen in years!
Unless my old aging eyes deceive me, there was NO discernible difference in muzzle flip between the full 44 mag and the 44 special ammo... Great stuff thanks for posting.
First time watching you and I've gotta say that I thoroughly enjoyed your video. Tons of info and very clear and thorough information that helps me make my decision on buying this gun. You should be sponsored by Taurus. Subbed!!
The rail was ment to have a red dot on it and not a scope.
Umm... Yea.. I don't understand why he could not figure it out... He's dinging the gun 1 star for no good reason.
They us to make a hand gun ring set that was close to the stuff they make for the ar now. You know the clamp that fits the short rail on the top of the ar and then the mouth gets wider to hold the scope.
I know they had that tipe of set up for 4 in barrel's back in the early 80's.
I would think you would be able to find something like that if you wanted a scope insted of a dot.
@@80sDon Don it is good reason to me for my uses, it may still fit your use case. Call me old school but I was looking for a magnified option if I truly were to hunt with this. Others have made some good suggestions about the cantilever option of mount.
🙄 people. They make cantilevered longer rail mounts
Without seeing ur reply.... I said the same thing. Awesome
The 340 grain Buffalo Bore and 330 grain Hammer Head 44 magnum loads are for hunting anything that walks, crawls or advances in a menacing manner.
"Advances in a menacing manner" that rite!! hells yea!!!
Wow.Never realized they make such heavy rounds for the .44mag. I always enjoyed target shooting using the 180gr hot rounds. If you place one of the 180gr rounds in the middle of your cylinder w/ the rest of the cylinder filled with 240gr rounds before you hand it to your shooting partner without them knowing, it's a bit of a surprise in the difference of both the feel and sound made by the hotter rounds.
@Logan Waltz lol who the hell is going to hunt a hippo/ elephant with a handgun lol...
@Logan Waltz Larry Kelly was a pioneering handgun hunter and he used a Super Blackhawk 44 magnum with a solid bullet with a tungsten-core inserted to add weight and dropped a Bull Elephant with one shot. So loaded right the 44 can and has done it all.
@@jakehacker7895 hunting the 44 magnum has dropped elephant and rhinoceros and hippo and it will again with proper loads and proper placement of the bullet.
Great video, nice revolver and great shooting! I wish I could fit that beautiful cushion grip to my Ruger Alaskan.. lol!
The gun is beautiful. The set up in the background is insane. Awesome set up. Never seen anything like it. Great video.👍👍👍
Very detailed and thorough review - great video!
Excellent review answered many questions I had , very thorough, and fair review
Thank You
Thank you Mr.Revlover Guy! Very informative video.
Am a S&W fan, but the raging hunter 44 is awesome too, no doubt, thanks for the presentation
Thank you for the review. I've been looking at these. Always wanted a .44 and this looks like a good one.
Aw man! I thought my revolver collection was complete, why did I have to stumble across your channel?! O well, subscribed! 🤣
Thank you
Man you do some really good reviews, I’ve got a M44 8&3/8 barrel and I love it
Nice! Thanks for the review.
OooRah! You really rock dude! Seriously, genuine, relevant, enlightening content well done! I subscribed. Rico, USMC 74-77.
OooRah Brother thank you for the support.
Just stumbled upon your channel. And subscribed.Semper Fi.
People already hating on the pic rail......Rails are the business!
Great in depth review. Very enjoyable. PS Thank you for your Service.
As always, excellent review! I am going to have to take the plunge and get one of these too!
Greetings from oregon i just found your channel great job brother very well done great detail thanks you got another sub! God bless
Love that Taurus grip. I had a color case hardened .454 several years ago. I believe it was a 5- 5 1/2" barrel and ported. As I'm typing I can't for the life of me figure out why I ever sold it. Such a great gun!
i have a Taurus 66 in 357 and have been a great revolver. Taurus makes some good firearms these days.
I have and old taurus 66....its the 6 shot and i love it. I have the tracker 44 mag and its pretty good too.
I hav the taurus tracker 357, i wonder if it can handle buffalo bore loads
Ive only been l
Listening, and watching for 36 seconds, and I'm already hooked.
Great insight, appreciate your feedback, Semper Fi! Looking to add this to my armory...
Excellent review, thank you!
Great review and shooting! Liked and subbed. Semper Fi!
Semper Fi Brother! Thank you for the support
I like the 4 inch barrels on revolvers I just think that's the happy median for me not too short not too long
On this size revolver, the 5" feels like a 4"
Great review... glad I found your channel brother!
Love this guy's videos.
Enjoyed your review and enthusiasm! Semper Fi!
Solid video. I'd like to play with one of those eventually, they seem sleek
Good sir, great review on the Taurus revolver. I own and have owned Taurus products, they have earned a bad rep but in my opinion have redeemed their name as a great fire arm maker. I'm subscribed to your channel now can't wait to see more from you.
appreciate the support
Solid review - love the content!
I have a personal preference for five-inch barrelled revolvers. Many years ago S&W had numerous 5" revolvers in various calibers and my very first S&W was a K-38 revolver with a 5" bbl with target trigger and target hammer. It was the perfect barrel length (for me) and was balanced just right. I love the look of this Taurus and I especially like the fact it has no internal locking mechanism the way modern S&W's do. I still own an 80's model blued 586 and I love their older revolver design vs the current S&W offerings. I really like this Taurus.
This gentleman is a legend. What a great and informative review. Respect.
Thanks Bear appreciate the supoort.
Great review thank you!
Great review sir, and thank you for your service. :)
Just found your channel I definitely subscribed
Just found your channel, I've looked at this pistol a couple of times and picked up a ruger super red-hawk and felt the difference, but it's still a very nice revolver for the money.
Oh that's a killer pistol I love it great video .
Great video bro and great revolver im a big Taurus fan 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was looking at the little ultralight 856 in .38Spl-- holds six, under $300, LCR size and weight-- I'm an LCR guy, so it intrigues me. Anyway, somehow by pure accident and happenstance, I stumbled over your channel with this particular video. And it captured my attention. Never seen your channel before. And, I might add, there are some neat firearms discussed in your videos. Can't wait to watch them. Subscribed! 🤓
PS-- I live in the lovely Constitutional State of Arizona. While we certainly have ranges... and they absolutely have their place and purpose... for the most part, we usually prefer to truck a few minutes out into the desert and shoot in more open and "creative" environment. We can set up almost anything, provided we can truck it in and pack it all out. For instance, we'd surely be seeing how high the .44Mag launched soda pop cans into the air. 🤣
Really good review. Just subscribed
Awesome review! I’ve been looking for a revolver to compliment my Marlin 1894 in 44 mag. Your review helped me make my decision. I just added this fine piece to my collection. Thank you. You’ve got a new subscriber!
Awesome thank you for the support. Let us know what you think about it.
I’m grabbing one of these. Great review by the way, I’m SUBSCRIBING
I have a Taurus titanium revolver in .41 magnum and absolutely love it. It's a five shot and weighs less than a pound and a half loaded. My brother still owes me $5 for the perched crow forty yards out. It's also thinned a couple of sounders.
Great vid, interesting 44 Magnum - subscribed...
Very good evaluation. Well done and informative.
Great review. While serving, I never qualified with handguns but was a marksman with the FN FAL C1 C2 and C3A1 Parker-Hale 7.62 NATO sniper, must have something to do with my eye sight. I never liked handguns but would gladly give this jewel a try.
Great review! I never considered looking at this series but you have me interested.
There is a scope uni mount for the AR single nut to lock on.
Yes available at walmart. But I would buy it somewhere else.
692-3" , 357/9mm has me interested in Taurus . Great review and information
Love your video! I got my wife one and she loves it after watching your video.
I know this video is 4 years old but I just stumbled upon it and you’ve completely sold me on this revolver! I’ve only had one Taurus revolver ever and it was a judge that was really good but I sold it during the pandemic for what I paid for it years earlier new. I had a S&W 3” 629 with fancy wood grips that was really just miserable to shoot recoil wise and it really seemed I was wasting the 44mags power with only the 3” barrel. So I ended up selling that during the pandemic also for more than I had bought it new 5 yrs earlier! Now Ive got a bunch of 44mag ammo with no pistol to shoot it with till now! I’m ordering this pistol as soon as my profit sharing check comes in! I had no desire to shoot 44mag anymore till I watched this video and I believe with those grips in combination with the weight and porting of that gun I could get back into shooting 44mag again! 👍🏻
What a blaster!
Very nice review...thanks bro!
You change ed my mind now...Taurus ragging bull....appreciate the review
That's the sexiest revolver I've ever seen. I have the judge and now I need this and the g3.
Great review. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for the info.
Excellent solid review man , I may go pick one up today
Somehow stumbled upon your channel. Def subbed now. Good review.
Thanks for the support Jeremy
@@Dayattherange I agree. It's nice to hear an opinion that isn't strongly biased. Taurus is starting to produce good guns but still not quite as good as a s and w. I got their judge and he.
A review I can come back to, nice clip.
Great review on this
Great review!
I have a Raging Bull 44 stainless with 8 3/4 in. barrel. The scope base they shipped with it was for another 44 Taurus and didn't fit. They didn't make one for it at the time. I had to do some milling with my Dremel tool on the openings on the vented rib to get it to fit. I put a Sightron red dot on it. That has non standard rigs and chintzy mounting hardware that tend to rust. There were also some casting imperfections near the trigger guard I didn't notice when I accepted it from the dealer. I had to polish them out. Apart from that, it's been a great gun.
Excellent review sir! I just added this to my collection of Many. I have the 8 1/4 Taurus 44 and love it so can't wait to give this a spin. I got the 2 tone model but it's still a sexy, mean beast. Subbed
The background looks like a range I 've been to in Wisconsin
Great review!! 👍🏻
First time watching your videos. I have only had semi auto handguns besides my 22 LR revolver. I was hesitating to get a taurus but after watching this, I know which one i want. And as a first time viewer, the comment i see that sums it up the most, is that you seem like a likeable guy. Thanks for the video and the review
Good review as usual and great shooting
Good video. Enjoyed listening to you !!
New subscriber here. Awesome review and God bless.
Looks like a beast. I got the raging bull in 454 great revolvers
Damn, Devildog, you missed the enemy and took out your squad on that double-tap!😆 Joking aside, this was an outstanding review. Semper Fi!
First time watching good content, I really was impressed, Taurus seems to be improving every year . I’ve owned a Taurus 605 .
Did the revolver have a trigger job ?? Or is that truly out of the box . Nice accuracy, thanks. Mark south Louisiana
I still can't get myself to spend money on a Taurus, although this review has me rethinking it. Great review and great video my man.
You are missing out!! 👍🏻
I had a .45 and the PT92 Beretta look alike and both worked perfectly, accurate and never had an issue.Ran into hard times and had to sell. If it wasn't for that I would still have em.
Get the over it dude
@@drezc5444 I already have...dUdE
i have some taurus handguns. pistol and revolver. as far as revolver, 38 special model 82 SS4, very heavy duty and accurate, i.e. under 1 inch groups. i also have a butt ugly flat-black 4 inch tracker 44 mag. trigger is ok, cylinder doesnt cycle as smooth as a smith or ruger, but ... single action and the accuracy is amazingly good, again maybe 3/4 inch with 44 specials. 7 -10 yards.
Solid review💪🏼👍🏼 will be ordering one soon.
Kill a few hogs out there in Texas with it and let us know what you think about it.
Dayattherange You bet!
excellent video, I definitely am subscribing. And heck yeah! That is a mean mean lookin Magnum. I hadnt seen the Raging Hunters before now.. I am lovin it. I hope they make a 8rnd .357 model someday.
Do you know the 608? 8 rounds on 357.
Awesome Video Mate thanks
Thanks for the information. Good informative video. New subscriber.
Looking at 692, no experience with Taurus, have you been happy w/ fit-finish & overall quality?
Semper Fi my Brother!
Why does Taurus insist on putting target-style sights on a revolver meant for hunting?
A cantilever styled mount for the scope would work. I'm not sure why so many viewers state that the rails are for red dots. I had to buy a proprietary mount from Taurus for my older Taurus Raging Bull 41 magnum to mount a scope.
I tend to agree with the others saying it's for red dots. The barrel is too short for hunting. The longer barrels have room for scopes.
Taurus even says it was designed for red dots.
I appreciate your review very very thorough. 🔫
Thank you
Great show thank you sir.
