Exploring a remote beach, beachcombing and finding glass treasure. The allure of treasured glass, once discarded by time and the relentless lake, beckons to those who are patient and observant. Glass fragments, polished and smoothed by the lake's embrace, emerge like precious jewels from the sand. Nuggets of glass catch the light, evoking stories of ships, sailors, and forgotten civilizations. Lake Erie is known for having a large amount of beach glass. It's thought that there are more than 2000 shipwrecks in the lake which could have been carrying ceramics, glass and marbles.
