Listen. I would spend too much time playing this game... This perfectly captures the magic, horror, wonder and awe of the Jurassic Universe. Its beautiful!
I think the ONLY thing that would make it better is frame it like a movie, give it a widescreen aspect ratio and a third person view, this game does capture the nostalgic 90s spirit of the game, but I wish it was just a little more cinematic to pay tribute to Spielbergs vision that melted into our headtz
As soon as I heard that Rex’s footsteps getting faster and faster and the roars and growls got closer and closer… man if I was playing this game all I would be able to think is “I don’t want to know if it’s behind me just DRIVEDRIVEDRIVEDRIVE”
Dude... I wasn't even playing the game and as soon as the TRex was chasing the Jeep, my skin was crawling and I was screaming DRIIIIVE fromthe comfort of my chair! Haha Sooo good! Like, how have the license holders not made a T-Rex chase experience in a game yet? That part alone was iconic for the film series. Just that part is a golden concept, albeit what should only amount to a small part of a bigger game, but I think it would be something you have to do a few times, in a more open world style of game. I think now is the time to make the best JP game that ever existed, beside the Lost World on PS1. Hard to beat playing as all the dinos! Amazed they never made a remake of that game, but I imagine licensing of past IPs in the hands of another studio is a bitch!
Thanks! The evolution of the Rex game was “the story mode needs a Rex chase, let’s develop the gameplay and put it in the demo. Rex is chasing the Jeep, but what do we do? Repair some motion sensors! Ok looks cool. F it let’s redo it with its own story, VO, npc.” The beta version, the one that’ll release, is much better.
Jurassic Park Trespasser is also another hidden gem, from 1998 It's a practically open world puzzle shooter game It was unfinished and rushed at launch but still better than games like the weird trend of tycoon builders like jw evolution 1 and 2 and all the weird crappy Atari and Nintendo jp games
The amount of care you put into the design is really fantastic. Not only did you make the River Adventure fit within the design aesthetics of the first film (and nailed bringing the concept art to life) but you also put a lot of care into making it feel like a real theme park attraction. Kudos!
It’s so awesome that you used the concept art for the River Adventure (and the sounds from the actual ride queue) and it’s amazing to see the motion sensors! Shame it was all but cut from the final film but it’s great to see here!
Man hearing john hammonds voice talking about the t rex paddock in a almost ghostly way made the t-rex even more intimidating. And the silence with only the sounds of crickets and occasional birds, quikly broken by slow thunderous footsteps. I cant explain it, but something about this captures Jurassic Park so much better than most other games have Edit: idk why I mixed hammond with grant but whatever
I can not believe we’re finally getting a game like this. So many fans have waited for something like this for ever. The river ride and the voice that plays before the gates open is SPOT on to the ride at universal. BRAVO man. Bravo!
Someone FINALLY got it right. This is what I wish trespasser was more similar to, as well. There’s no way that only JUST now, someone could make a proper Jurassic Park game, with how successful the franchise is. So much potential and yet no one else could get it right since 1993, and it took one fan making an unlicensed game using a $40 PlayStation 4 game almost 30 YEARS LATER. That’s INSANE! Only this creator can be trusted with the creation of these games. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been dying (so to speak) for a game like this, in which you can explore the island post-Isla Nublar incident. This movie still scares me, even at age 24 and it’s a shame that there haven’t been as many successful games that capture the terror of being stuck on an island with escaped genetically engineered dinosaurs, many of which hunting you and ready to kill you at any given moment. The creator is awesome and I can’t wait to see what they make next.
This almost reminds me of Alien Isolation, but with a T-Rex instead of a Xeno. I could definitely see a game where the whole point is to avoid detection, distract and defend yourself against the dinosaurs.
Incredibly cool, sucks I can't play it as I lack a Playstation, but I hope the project continues going well. Jurassic Park was a horror novel, and we could use more projects like this that reinstill that horror.
This game is amazing. I wish Universal would pay you to make this. I’ve always wanted to see a T-Rex chasing a jeep in a video game. I’ve always been curious what would happen if the T-Rex catches the jeep.
Listening to the AI generated voice of Richard Attenborough speaking just made my jaw drop! I’d rather not quote Dr. Grant but still, how did you do this? 😲
I was genuinely at the edge of my chair during the River Adventure ride part, I thought there were going to be raptors or something was gonna jump out at you. I almost wonder if it's better if nothing does, just to keep you on edge and trick you, but what if the ride was partially broken, run down? Like, wires hanging, sparks here and there, something more unsettling, especially during the cave section where it's dark. It would be even more awesome if as a part of the campaign, you had to get on boat to reach a place for an objective, and in a dark cave (dimly lit by lights or a flare, there's a metal door with bars, velociraptors trying to force it open to kill you, but can't. Sort of a semi-nod to the mine scene in Jurassic World: Dominion. I thought that part of the movie would make a great level in a game, or inspire something along those lines. Peter Jackson's King Kong game would inspire some good levels too. Great job with all this so far, can't wait for the beta preview!
Thanks! There’s more to the river ride. This video was posted to show one of the devs everything working together while they had to leave for a few months. That’s why I take my time through the menu so much. We made the demo to develop gameplay ideas. But, the new version will not be shown off until it releases. This will launch first, then we’re onto the single player game now that we’ve developed most of the assets we need and found our art style.
That scene in Dominion is also a nod to a scene in the novel when they’re holed up in the Safari Lodges and the raptors are trying to break through the iron bars on the skylights.
@@funkymotha5507 Right? Just like Doctor Wu’s conversation with Mr. Masrani in JW1 where they’re talking about the purity of the dinosaur DNA and how they would look entirely different is a nod to a similar conversation between Wu and Hammond in the novel.
Media Molecule and Sony could rewrite gaming and make more Boatloads of money by doing 3 little things. 1) Bring Dreams to PC. 2) Allow the game, music, and animation to run standalone. 3) Licence charge 10-20% of all sales, no upfront fees. To stop copycatting, all builds must have public demos of the completed game before launch, and then they are voted on as to go to market or not buy the public.
Who came here after the Jurassic Park Survival announcement? 😅😁 Now we will not only have the Jurassic Park Operations fangame, but also Jurassic Park Survival, a dream coming true after years. 🥲
Sounds exactly like something the president of biosyn would say! s/ We were really excited. Just stripping out the logos and locations wouldn’t work for how the story was written. So we’re moving on the do something completely original.
Sequel where you have to travel to the lost world, prequal where you hit a near miss and then add Ons with other characters. Easy. Business plan solved. Half life meets Jp
I really wish we could do that. It’s a big thorn in my side and one of the limitations of dreams. You can only have one active camera at a time and there’s no ray tracing. It’s possible, sort of. There’d have to be a separate Rex and terrain that only shows through each mirror and that eats up too many resources. One rex takes up a little under 20% of resources. It’s one of the many reasons I’m moving over to pc after this is completed.
You quit after that raptor got in yo ass lmao So far I love this, I'm happy to see someone other than universal actually cares about the franchise in the gaming world

It was inspired by the water rides in California and Florida. The novel goes heavy into the river ride, cut from the film because of budget. That’s why we’re doing it.
Dreams is dead. MM canceled all upcoming support. They’re limiting creations to something like 120 on the new server, that’s huge. It’s like only being able to ever have 120 prefabs, scripts, game objects, scenes…
What gives it away that it’s a game, is and probably always will be the way characters and the player moves, for some reason motion of things and subjects in games still looks weird after all these years of developers creating games.
By the way if it's not available yet I would love to help create this project for all fans to enjoy! P.S What is this John Hammond text to speech, it's so good! :)
I wanna explore the entire island with vehicles, or on foot.. collect DNA samples, kill or trap Dino’s, take down assholes trying to steal shit. Hell idk, I’ll fetch poop samples as long as I’m in Jurassic park.. I’m sure a seasoned dev can get pretty creative with content. It’s a platinum game idea for damn sure.. I do enjoy the evolution games but they just aren’t as satisfying as you would think.. the old school lost world game on sega had some real potential for future growth but the idea ended with the one game..
