Hello Jay ,very nice tent, hope everyone affected by the fire are safe, the sound of the rain on the tent so tranquil, nice of Dave to drop you supplies, the northern lights were magnificent, thanks for sharing stay safe out there
Jay, prayers for you, Crystal, your kids, neighbors, family and friends. Thank you for sharing your experience and your awesome attitude given the circumstances.
So glad you are safe and happy to see Dave (up north of 60) again! Kind of him to check on you and bring some more supplies! He’s a great friend! Praying for your safe return home and the wildfires stop soon! Nice to see you again Jay also! Please keep us informed about your surroundings! Stay safe! ❤
Prayers for you and all our Canadian friends. Can't imagine how concerning it is to have to evacuate your town.Hope Crystal abd your cabin are safe too.
Jay I’d be terrified of lightning strikes in all those trees. Please be careful. BC is on fire too. I’m sorry to learn that so many had to evacuate the NWT - prayers up for all effected. So glad to see the rain! Thank you for the northern lights show at the end❤️
I was praying that you were alright! And a "HUGE" thanks to Dave to helping out in these trying times! I hope that this disaster ends soon, thanks for the update it is very much appreciated!
Been praying for all the people in the USA and Canada with the fires. Glad you found a place to stay and that Dave brought you supplies. Stay safe, warm/cool, and blessings.
Glad you are OK. Great to have friends looking out for you. Stay safe Jay. Please keep us updated. Fires are happening all over the world. Crazy times.
I didn’t dare breathe or blink when you heard something! I’m glad that isn’t happening to me, I have a medical condition and that kind of stress and fear makes me black out. I’m glad to see another video knowing you’re safe
Such a relief to see the rain, hopefully it helped. Greetings from Greece, we are also going through difficult times due to fires in various parts of the country.
It’s good to see the rain. I have seen first hand how fast fire can spread . I wish all the best to everyone affected by the fires. It seems to be an annual event now. People who have never been through an evacuation don’t realize the financial strain and added stress on people and families. I truly hope you get to go back to your home and cabin soon.
Hey Jay hope you are safe and OK great to see Dave brought you supplies hope the rain comes and help the fire service to put out the forest fires take care and stay safe 👍
I’m glad your safe and I hope the fire stays away from your town, saying a prayer for all the people but especially for You and Chrystal. Stay safe till next time.
Jay, please stay safe my friend . Stay informed as to where the fires are at. Praying for Yellowknife and Hay River and all community's in the beautiful Yukon . GREAT to see tour friend from Up North of 60 , Great couple , hope there safe as well . Ontario Canada .
Good to see you and you have chosen to use everything you have learned over the years. Now take care out there but see you take good care of it all. Hope nothing happens to your house or cabin, it's unbearable to think about. Now you have finally got yourself a cabin that you will enjoy many hours in. You look a bit younger without a beard, it looks good. Praying for you and family for your safety and properties. It's unbelievable with all that fire in so many places. Now you have to enjoy yourself as much as you can, but I think the soul benefits from being there despite the circumstances and find some peace. Hope you have a good book with you to distract you from the situation. Many warm thoughts and hugs Maria Denmark😘🙏
Hey! Thanks for this thoughtful comment. I am still here at the camp under an evacuation as I write this response. I am definitely doing my best to take it all in so I never forget this experience.
Sounds good and great to hear it's going well. The day can be long so I hope you get to wander a bit and read, If I were you I would bring 10 books and would read as many because I love to read, smiles.. I wonder if it will take many days before you can return home, I was just thinking your dear dog, he must miss you terribly and you must feel the same. once again take care out there sending good thoughts your way Jay, Hugs Maria@@jaylegere
Jay, I’m so glad to see you are safe for the time being. Have been praying for Crystal and your children. InI this command section, I was about to ask about Dave and Vivian. I’m over the moon happy to see that they are ok. I miss them and think the world of all of you. I follow them as well! Praying that the rains will pour over the fires.
Whoa, who is this good-lookin' clean-shaven guy? Yep, this is what you've been training for and a lot of us are going to benefit from it. I'm taking notes, and yes, a bucket is in them now. Two things - if you leave your tent thinking there's a bear out there, yell your head off. A bigger light would be a lot better than a headlamp. You want the critters to think you're big and loud and scary. Dave is awesome! Northern lights and smoke - just wow. Prayers up, bud!
Hi Jay, so sorry about the fires. My son is a wildland firefighter and it so awful to hear about the devastation up there!! Prayers sent from Newfoundland!!!!
For 20 years I was a member of an elite search and rescue team (30 years in the organisation) and our 10 person team maintained (at 2 hour deployment) a capability of being able to deploy virtually anywhere, at any time and being completely self sufficient (food, water, everything) for 10 operational days. Whilst We each carried Our own 10 day supplies, We also carried, distributed among Us, communal supplies (cookers, lights, gas bottles). I personally did not carry communal supplies as My extras were First Aid and Medical focused, as I was versed in Advanced First Aid and Mountaineering Medicine. Also I was a Firearms Officer and depending upon the operation, might be carrying an extra bag. Having the skill knowledge and equipment for such deployment was always an extremely comforting Thought.
Stay safe Jay, keep your eyes open and on the situation (which I'm sure you will). Hope some rain comes soon for you and the rest of Canada that's on fire. We had the largest fire in history for Newfoundland Island last year in 50 plus years but this year we've had a wetter summer and been lucky there. Take care and keep the videos coming
Jay, so glad you are safe and being smart doing what you love! Nice to have friends like Dave checking in on you. Ask him where his channel went for us. Hang in there and so sorry this has happened to your life and community.
I'm really glad to see that you're staying safe from the fires. That must be a horrendous experience not knowing what home is going to look like when you get back. Is Crystal in a safe place as well? I sure hope so. In regards to your firearm, I don't know how long you have had it but I hope you were able to put in a substantial amount of range time to become familiar and proficient with it. You should be able to deploy that weapon without having to think about how to operate it and get off accurate rounds on target VERY quickly if you are going to rely on it for bear defense. A misplaced shot could cost your life. Please be careful!!!! All the best to you and yours.
I used to tie off tie-outs with the lead looped around the tie-out like that. seemed fine. except one trip where the wind caused the line to cut through the tie-outs. so now I use small caribiners with a round cross section to hold out the line so the tie-out is less stressed. I have also been using elastic cord to reduce the tension on the line and tie-out and provide some give for when the wind blows. Also, consider testing mission crirical tools like the air horn, to ensure they work as expected.
Good to see your camping skills coming in handy, also great to see Dave, I follow both of you guys. You've come a long way my friend since I first found your channel. I'll be heading out on the land soon for 6 weeks of guiding moose hunters from a remote cabin to even more remote spike camps/tents. Dropped off by helicopter and I can't wait to get started.... Hope and pray your city and all its belongings including nearby cabins are untouched by the fires. Stay Safe Charlie
@@jaylegere I admire your ability to find positive when there is so much negative and fear all around you..A learning experience and a teaching tool for you and many who follow you...Stay safe out there..From an Ontario Fan 😁
Stay safe Jay. All the best. One suggestion for a safety precaution for the future, is in situations like this, have a bright visible tent! If s*** really hits the fan, and you find yourself unable to get out, you want to be as visible as possible.
Man, I am so sorry for what's happening to you guys. I hope and pray that your home is sparred any burning and that the powers that be will be able to put this fire out.
Hey Jay, stay safe out there. I hate that everyone is having to evacuate from their homes for all the wild fires. Hopefully some much needed rain will come and help put out those fires. I love the tent! So much room and storage, I may have to see about getting one for myself! Again stay safe man!
Glad you and Crystal are safe and yeah Jay its fun to go out camping but in reality the skills we practice come in very handy in times like this for sure
Jay thank you for sending out a video. I'm so glad to see your safe. And hope you continue to stay safe. Was great to see someone knows we're your at buddy situations all a ways good.

Nice video, crazy. From my part of nz, Bush fires, floods, heavy rain, hurricane etc. None of these things happen where I live. It's crazy thinking other ppl go through all sorts of natural disasters/events.
Glad to see you're safe and doing well! I hope you folks get some much needed rain. We had a bad wild fire here in Nova Scotia a couple months ago. It's scary stuff. Cheers
I am so glad that you're safe and able to remain somewhere close by and beautiful. How is your cabin doing? Has that been in the path any longer? Of course. Only good wishes going out to you, Jay!😊
