Ah yes spring is awakening from a long winter's nap. Soon the sap be running through the trees as blades of green grass leads to beautiful prairie meadows filled with array of wildflowers that give off a radiant aroma as the wind stirs through the air. Then to our souls long to shed the layers of woolen fuzzy apparels as one's skin absorbs the warm rays of sunshine. All such a wonderful.gift that changes with each longing season. Thank You for sharing these transformations through your UA-cam channel.
I just learned something about boiling water! Holy crap! Thank you Jay. I had no idea water with arsenic in it can't be boiled away. Crazy!!! Thank you Jay for teaching me something new.
Jay, I have to say that this was a great way for me to spend a Tuesday afternoon. Your skills for fire building are great. You can tell you are having fun with it. Im so happy that you are smelling and tasting more, what a gift. Jay, you are fun to watch and you can see the excitement in your face with your experiences out there. Very good vid and very fun to watch 👍 Great work brother
Im a 75 years old and have never been camping but i love to see your videos. You're so inventive, creative and funny with a very pleasant voice so I watch all your videos!😊😘 All the best to you!👍
Don't forget water. Every time you cook you make me so hungry. I'm a long haul truck driver and I am so jealous of you out camping. I'm going on my first camping trip this June and I'm so looking forward to using my tent keep up the videos you inspire me to get out and enjoy life. Thank you God bless
Sure glad to see you have your smell and taste back Jay, with all those great meals you prepare you really deserve the full aroma and taste of that delicious food. I feel for you on the warm weather bug problems, I spent a week in June near Sudbury years back and the bugs were as you say wicked bad. Head net and duct tape was a must to keep them out of your clothes. Sorry to see the cold season coming to an end but it will be back before we know it. Take care and see you again soon.
Love watching this beautiful piece of nature PRO TIP : always pull the fire rod rather than pushing your knife. The chances of smashing your tinder bundle and staying cold is lowered 😁👍
I remember when you were talking wood palettes to do the tant floor..you have learned so much..and always asking the viewers advice..just not pretending to know everything about camping...congrats for your success..may God bless you always 🙏
Jay. There are several videos here on how to easily make distilled water with stuff you already have at home. Needless to say, this would solve the arsenic problem and once you get your groove on, you won't have to haul water.... which is really a pain.
Jay, I do enjoy your style of video. A nice layed back, slower paced and simple way of life is what some of us like to strive for and you manage it well. Thank you for letting us come along! Here where I live, the migration of people from the lower states are finding there way to our Pacific Northwest and its starting to take its toll on our country life....the good thing is we have your channel to watch and get away from the rat race!!! Thank you again....
Always a pleasure to enjoy your tent time right along side you Jay, thanks again for taking us along. I'm so glad you got the spray and hope it lasts a good long time, cheers buddy 🍻.
Wow... So sorry the season is ending. I'm a city girl who loves watching your adventures. I'm so happy for you that your sense of taste/ smell have returned. I went through that for a week during COVID, and it was very upsetting...so I have an idea how wonderful you must feel now. Thank you for such artistic and entertaining content. I look forward to your summer videos... And dont forget to bring water!😊
Hi jay, you are such a lovely guy, love your videos ,your cooking just wonderful , the way you explain what your doing, I wish I could do it, but living in little village in England we don’t get snow ❄️ very often so watching you is absolutely beautiful so thank you jay for sharing your camping trips and here’s to the next one stay safe love and best wishes from sue and andy xxx❤️❤️❤️👵🏻👴🏻England
Thanks for another great visit. You make all your meals sound great. No doubt they’re delicious. I have nothing to add ‘cept a big thank you for bringing us along. Cheers buddy. Gonna miss seeing you more frequently but totally get about the bugs and other nasties out there
You make great videos. You can show more cooking, everyday living things (bathing sleeping traveling to the campsite) and general preparation for outdoor living. We would love to see stuff like that. Please don’t cut back on the videos!
Hi Jay, I also liked spending the time this Tuesday watching your video. so I don't forget remember water and what Jackery your going to leave at the cabin and and thing else for your next trip out before winter is gone. it's so pretty up there I love the different seasons. plus you always give me good ideas on what to make when it's just me at home. have a good week . thank you for sharing.
A rain water catching system or some simple distilling equipment would help with your water needs in the summer months. You might even find a use for it during the winter.
Thank you again for a great visit to the hot tent. It truly is a perfect time to be there, not too cold 🥶,yet cold enough to light a fire 🔥. Being cozy and comfy, that’s what it’s all about. I can sympathize with you about not being able to smell or taste. Grateful there is medication to help you.😊
Hey Jay, just for safety sake. You should create a hiding space for your jackery away from the tent, just in case someone would happen to find your place. It would suck to lose a valuable item like that. Just an idea!!!! Love your videos, Mike from mid Michigan!!!
Jay, Thanks for all the great advice on how to do things and showing that we can respect the environment and use what nature has given us. I am referring to you picking up the dead branches that had fallen rather then cutting down tree, plus your cleaning up too. I love that Jackery and look like an amazing piece of equipment.
I enjoy every video that you make. It’s really inspired me to get into outdoor camping with my daughter this year. I especially love watching all of the really great recipe ideas that you have. I dare say that I almost enjoy the cooking now more than the rest of the content! :) Don’t worry about the regularity of your videos during seasons when it’s harder to get out there. I know I’ll be excited when you come back, no matter how much time that takes. :)
Jay, such a great vid! You have a channel that is what alot of people need! Sit back and relax. Your profession has spilled into your utube Chanel and your professionalism on the cameras and down to earth human being on camera will keep my wife and I watching all 4 canadian seasons 😃 👍
Another great video Jay, incredible sky, cuttin some wood, building a fire and cookin some food! Totally relaxing to watch, and I had to go make a couple of hot dogs 🌭! Thanks for the inspiration Jay! 😊
I grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan in the 50s and we used to watch our dad make feather sticks except we called them shavings, brings back great memories
Kindred spirits…since I love winter too…I can see the sadness that the season is passing. Your season has been exceptional but with your upbeat attitude you’ll find the goodness in this next season! I can always be transported back to winter by watching one of your winter episodes. Keep up the good work Jay! Really enjoy you and your channel!❤
Great video Jay and it's sad to see it come to a end but it always does! I happy you finally got a good wood stove. I have a similar one I had made in high school for my dad and I still have it today. I had a shop teacher and he knew how to steer me in the right direction he had made stoves before and that stove works great better then some store bought stoves👍
I am real impressed with your knife...comes with a sheath, sharpener and a fire steel. I know those Swedes are smart people. Mora makes great ice 🧊 drills. I am amazed that at Easter 🐣 your lake is still frozen. I hope you had a great Easter. I am glad you have a med for taste and smell.
Hi from Columbus, Ohio! Love your videos and your willingness to learn and try different things! My only Canadian experience has been in Goose Bay, Labrador. Both extremes, summer and all the huge bugs and the dead of winter with all the snow! I was in the USAF with C-130’s and we used Goose Bay as a midpoint going to Europe!
We still see lots and lots of USAF aircraft’s come through Goose Bay 👍 I myself work on the base/runway. As my father, Jerry Dyson did when he was younger and his father before him 🙂
As always, another great video. So glad that you have your taste and smell back. Nothing better then a good bon-fire, smelling the pine burning. Take care and be safe.
You've achieved so much this season at the 2 tents and on UA-cam I can't believe the seasons has gone so quickly enjoy ur summer xx Don Forget The Water Jugs 🙂🙂
So glad you were able to make it to the tent yet! Love your enthusiasm! Happy for you to be able taste and smell. Hope your life continues to be filled with blessings!
Jay, I find it amazing that you can leave your stuff out in the tent and have it there when you get back, weeks later. I'd sure hate to see you lose your Jackery equipment! Norm
Greetings from South Africa Jay. I love watching videos of campers. Different ways to camp. You really make camping a nice experience. The environment is beautiful. I enjoy looking at you cooking. Enjoy it and thank you for taking us camping. Remember water😊 Hope to see more of Ashley. Safe travels.

Looks like a good time. I think I would put down a ten by ten tarp when cutting the logs to save the saw dust or easier clean up. Love watching your videos thanks for sharing.
Another great trip! My husband and I are heading out for our first tent camping trip next weekend. Probably going to be snowy, cold and wet, I think I’ll surprise him with those bannock biscuits and pork strips for breakfast, look amazing! Talk about comfort food!
I always look forward to new videos. Enjoyable to watch and see what you cook. Glad you can smell again and improvements to the tent and new tools and equipment.
Jay, I get really hungry any time I watch one of your camping episodes. Solar power is a wonderful thing. The technology is really evolved now and really economical. Love your channel.
Jay thanks for another video. Your food looks awesome. My stomach is talking to me watching you eat. LOL. You really have a nice setup. Take care and be safe.
Good Evening! I live in the Maine (USA) woods and everyone up here can sympathize with the war on summer bugs, pretty much the ones you mentioned. We get them all and they are absolutely out to kill us! I like the winter best. Stay safe and best wishes.
Thank you so much Jay for sharing all your videos I enjoy every one it is a little piece of heaven for me. I can't express all I feel when I watch them. I will alawys watch anything you share. thank you again God Bless and stay safe and well. 😉

I'm really glad that you're able to taste again. It's crazy what most people take for granted, huh? Most don't realize there's people out there that don't have the luxury of really tasting what they eat. 😉👍. Great video
Thanks for the great videos, you take me away to a different place. I lost my daughter Saturday and you’ve giving me 45 minutes of reminders of when I took my daughter and son camping. So thanks for that and my god watch over you.
New subbie! Enjoying your channel! Me and my hubby love to camp, we just bought our first camper and we are obsessed. He keeps saying he can't wait to camp in winter. Anyway love your cabin, you should be proud! So cozy! Looking forward to seeing your adventures!
G’day Jay, Loved this longer video. Thank you so much for all the hard work putting it together. Sad to know the winter videos are coming to an end but am looking forward to seeing what the warmer weather videos bring. Take care and keep up the amazing work. I’m 71 and like you winter passes way too fast. I’m weird, most people are glad to see it pass.
Nothing beats the sound of a roaring fire! Love It!
You got that right!
That guitar intro always puts me in a good mood.
You Look Like You Be Having A Good Time. May The Lord Be With You Always 🙏🏿⛺

Nothing better than crispy bacon cooked in a cast iron skillet on a wood stove.
Good to have you back. Hope this finds you well. Cheers from Alberta

Jay I love your channel I'm in the UK and I can now start a fire pit straight away thanks to you.
So fantastic that you are able to taste and smell Jay. I hope it lasts for ya. Thanks for another great video as usual.

Hey glad you’re getting your taste and smell back. Looked like a great handful of meals. Enjoyed the video as always Jay.
