Skarlet's based costume is the worst offender for how unnecessarily chunky with some useless details like all those pouch she has around her waist. Her alt costumes are so much better which make her more like a ninja and balance out properly by showing a proper amount of skin to fit her character ability. Obviously most of the female's characters still have some alt sexy costume, even though they are toned down compare to MKX and 9. I feel like the character designer's statement "respect the women and more practical" is very BS, considering this is a fantasy fighting game where logic is thrown out of the window. At least they could have tried to please everyone by giving more options ranging from fully clothes to skimpy outfits. I'm glad to see that sexiness (female, specifically) is not completely disregarded in MK11, but they should strive to balance the male & female costumes instead of keep pandering to the moral guardians to the point of giving everyone a burqa, lol.
