Definitely do NOT add glue to the side of lenses as seen in 2:19, and make sure the lenses are perfect, or you will hate it. I had to replace my LED Strips. My glue choice is JB Weld UV light activated.

I have a Samsung UN50H6350AF and the LED light discs came off during a move. Ruined an old 50" TV with minimal hours and a fantastic picture until I moved it. I was gentle and used the original box. Please don't be convinced by this video. It has a fraction of the detail you need and is nothing like my TV on the inside. The serviceman in Indianapolis said it was $245 as of Feb. 2023 and came with no guarantee it wouldn't happen again on the ride home.

I don’t have these spots that are shown but I have white circle rings that show all the time from the LEDs, it started off only on the left side of the screen, there was one row of 4 white ring circles but now the whole tv shows white ring circles, but are way more noticeable when there’s bright solid colors on screen. Every LED light will show a white circle on screen.

Tips from someone that has now repaired THREE 55" Samsung TV's!
Main Point: The most critical part of this repair is to get the lens PERFECTLY centered above the LED!
When looking straight down on top of the LED with the LENS ON, there should be very little light coming from dead-center. Essentially, the lens should "push" the light to the edges of the lens itself. If you don't center the lens EXACTLY over the LED, then light will escape the lens and shoot straight up to the diffuser and you will *still* have white spots on the repaired TV (voice of experience speaking here). I would say use the following repair process steps-
    1) turn the TV on and set the brightness to the LOWEST setting you can set it to (this will save your eyesight as you center the lenses)
2- Disassemble the TV to the point where you can re-glue the lenses.
3- Use a fairly slow-dry glue that allows you up to an hour of repositioning (I used GEL-type superglue**)
4- Put on your darkest pair of sunglasses (this process is very eye irritating- I ended up seeing spots for an hour afterwards!)
5- Turn the TV on and look down directly over the top of each lens you have glued
6- If any direct light is escaping STRAIGHT UP up through the lens, carefully reposition the lens until as LITTLE as possible is coming straight up- the three small "pips" on the lens should drop into the small copper-colored "holes" in the LED strip when centered correctly
This small tweak GREATLY improved the quality of the image and light dispersal on my repaired units. The LED lens is designed to reduce the "direct-up" light and spread it wider to spread it on the diffuser layer above it. If its not centerd, the LED sorta "blasts" through the lens and creates hot spots on the diffuser.. not as bad as no lens, but not as good as the factory aligned lens.
Also, in the tutorial above, they use hot glue to try to hold the lens from the side. 🤔The glue strings from this creates a form of fiber-optic light pipe effect and draws light to the sides of the lenses (clearly seen at 2:19 in the video). I would forgo doing any side-gluing as it alters the light path and will likely degrade the uniformity of light brightness on the screen.
I Hope this helps someone get better results! 👍🙂
** The GEL-type superglue can cause the lens to "fog" so carefully wipe the lenses of any white powdery fog that may accumulate after the gluing process

It is a pain. But after doing it a few times, I found you dont even have to take off the back cover if you know how to pop off the front bezel.
Then position the bottom of the TV against the wall and carefully lift the glass panel to lean it against the wall, with the ribbon cable still attached.
Pop off the sides and top trim as shown in this video at 1:19, leave the bottom trim in. Without taking the diffuser panel completely out. Just lift it up on an angle and do the repairs.
