I loved this show as a child of the 70’s and dreamed of taking a cruise some day. I’ve now been on about 12 and have enjoyed each one. Booked for another next May. Never one on Princess. Maybe some day.
This was a wonderful podcast, Do You Remember Tesm! Thank you! Issac and Gopher were my favorites! I got a laugh out of the fact that even in the 1970s and 1980s it was not commonplace to have intercultural relationships on TV. Whenever the beginning credits displayed Black folks, I knew Issac would be the focal point❤️; not positive or negative-just a comical observation🤣!
I like to think of Isaac as if he’s still chilling in the Acapulco lounge to this very day, like a black Jesus with a screwdriver in each hand, welcoming me to the afterlife.
There are enough film and television "stars" from the 90's and 00's to kick off a show similar to this one. Just good fun, a chance to see faces that are familiar to us from better times and in many cases a chance for these folks to get out and share their stagecraft. I still watch the original Love Boat and other shows from that time every day after work. They are a heck of a lot better than most of the crap that's on today.
You can easily avoid the word easily- stick to the big 3 broadcast channels and most of FOX. The same ban on the F-word that kept it off shows like this, is still the law of the land concerning broadcast tv.
Me too, it seems to be a cheap way to get a laugh in stand up comedy these days as well. I remember my dad kicking my brother's friend out of our house when he didn't follow my dad's rule of no cussing in our house. He was maybe 19 at the time and my dad had already warned him not to cuss in our home. I wish more parents cared like this

I watched that show every Saturday night. I was young and was going out at the time and I would watch it before I went out on the town!
I have always loved this show, and enjoyed learning more about the cast. I too was a child in the 70’s and love this show and Fantasy Island. Gopher was always my favorite and I was sad to learn Gavin MacLeod recently passed. Thanks to Pluto TV Classics, you can watch this show 24-7 for free! I curl up in bed after a long exhausting day and watch a few episodes before falling asleep. Thank God for Classic TV! Now, if they would just add “Fantasy Island” to the rotation on this channel, my life would be complete! LOL
Loved this show! My favorite is Captain Stubing ❤ I'm so grateful to have been raised in that era of fabulous TV sitcoms 🙏
Yeah . . . I guess you could call it a sitcom. It wasn't a half hour show, taped in front of a live audience, but it _was_ a comedy, even though it was an hour long, and it _was_ situated on a boat.
The networks have definitely slid into the sewer with the tripe they broadcast today.
Such an entertaining show it was interesting then and still is I'm glad its back
@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
I loved this show as a kid. When I finally started going on cruises in 1989 I got see how far from reality this show is as far as cruises go.
The real thing is more miserable?
Yeah , on no cruise ship I've ever been on has the bartender ever mingled and been buddies with the heads of the ship.
Well you werent going to see the Love Boat crew for sure.
I used to love watch "The Love Boat" when I was growing up. I wish that all series would get released on DVD.
"Oh, hamburgers!"
I still breakout singing the "Love Boat" theme song every once in awhile! This was a fave of mine growing up. It started when I was 3 and ended when I was 16!
Part of my Saturday night growing up!!! Love Boat, Fantasy Island and then Saturday Night Live!!
Hello dear and how are you doing today hope you are having a great time?
Memories of watching “The Love Boat” 😊
I loved this serie!
I loved this show as a child of the 70’s and dreamed of taking a cruise some day. I’ve now been on about 12 and have enjoyed each one. Booked for another next May. Never one on Princess. Maybe some day.
Love Boat was awesome loved it
This was a wonderful podcast, Do You Remember Tesm!
How can I forget Love boat! I love them all...
Hello dear and how are you doing today?
I like to think of Isaac as if he’s still chilling in the Acapulco lounge to this very day, like a black Jesus with a screwdriver in each hand, welcoming me to the afterlife.
Jesus forbids getting drunk. It keeps people out of heaven. 1 Cor. 6:9, 10.
@@floogelhornzzz4770 That’s no matter, I don’t believe in white Jesus or seek entry into his heaven.
I miss the days when saying the F=word wasn't used in everyday conversation regardless of who is listening.
It is so disappointing the way tv shows have changed. People long for good clean shows and you have to look for all the old ones to find them.
You can easily avoid the word easily- stick to the big 3 broadcast channels and most of FOX. The same ban on the F-word that kept it off shows like this, is still the law of the land concerning broadcast tv.
I miss the days when the school system didn’t indoctrinate our children to be Marxists and the government didn’t control every aspect of our lives.
@@gregorychilcote4636 take your kids out of school and homeschool them. Easy solution
I wish more parents cared like this
I miss these shows! Loved Love Boat and Fantasy Island. I was in love with with Ricardo Montelbon (sp?). I couldn't wait to see who was going to board the love boat.
Another banger series from the past love it 🥰 too bad they don’t make series like these anymore ☹️thks for the memories God bless 🙏🏻❤️
I'm 48 and miss 70s and 80s shows even some 90s shows
I love The Love Boat. Remember watching it with my entire family when I was younger….best times!
Loved this show
Hello dear and how are you doing today?
Lauren is going by her original name Cynthia Lauren Twese now. She has the
lead in an on going syndicated dramatic radio series titled Murder and the Murdochs.
Thanks!
Thanks
Thumbnail click bait, aye?
Never missed a Saturday night Love Boat episode! It was my favorite show at the time.
I never missed The Love Boat followed by Fantasy Island, Saturday nights on ABC. Great cast and always fun guest stars. Nice to see Jill Whelan again. She is just lovely. Also great to see Ted Lange. I always wished Isaac would find love, as he was a great guy, but then who could replace him? No one. That's who. You hit the spot with this one, DoYouRemember?.
It's still on, every Monday Friday on one the obscure cable channels I have. Still love watching it!
Loved the show🛳
We watch Love Boat on the Pluto channel! Brings back so many memories from my childhood!
This is why I cruise to this day. Love cruising, thanks to the love boat
