And how great that character arc is is the reason why I feel strongly that Loki is really, totally dead this time and not coming back. I mean, they tell you that in the movie with Thanos' "no resurrections this time" line, but even without that -- his character has finished his journey. And I agree, one of the best arcs in the MCU. -- Jessica from Drawing Conclusions, the marriage of movies and art
The WHOLE theatre gasped when Bucky died. Then when Black Panther crawled toward The General to pick her up and he died, there was a collective NO from the crowd. Kids were crying, shit got real. Great move with the screenplay right there. Take the bold chances, it worked.
Ethan Jones they are going to die. It seems the point is to leave the original avengers for them to sacrifice themselves in Avengers 4 next year to bring back the "New" Avengers. That's why Captain Marvel was called in the end credits.
Spider-Man is my favorite super hero period, and Tom Holland is my favorite actor to have played the character, so you can imagine how I handled watching him die in front of me, even if I was aware of the fact that there is still a Spider-Man 2 coming
Personally my favorite part of the movie was the ending and how they used silence. There was no music whatsoever, only the reactions of everyone dying and just silence. Its just so perfect. Silence is so hard to use in movies and it actually be effective. This is the perfect use of it.
Rex HardRod completely agree. To me that’s more gripping that erasing the sound to get an obvious reaction like TLJ. Here it was done beautifully. The Russo’s have directed 3 amazing films with a 4th on the way.
thejunkface started and ended just perfect. Also having the 10 in the studios logo and it being black and red. Just knew this movie would be epic from the start and it didn’t let up once
Tony has that flip phone because that's the one Cap sent him in a manilla envelope at the end of Civil War. It's sole purpose is to contact Steve in an emergency. What I thought was funny was that despite Tony's reluctance to call Cap he still carried that thing around with him everywhere.
I’ve read and seen so many reviews where they have no idea why he has a flip phone being he’s Tony Stark. Irritates me to no end. If they don’t know that they shouldn’t be giving a review
Elizabeth Morrison I couldn't possibly agree more. I read a review where the writer actually made a joke about not knowing who some of these characters are, then had the audacity to give the film a negative review for lack of character development. It's like the past 10 years and 18 movies didn't happen for this guy. How are these morons paid to write about this movie when they don't do their homework!?!
It's pretty sad when half the reviewers don't know why he had the flip phone. Like do you even watch the movies? I thought it was kinda telling how tony carries it with him, even if he says he doesn't want to talk to Steve.
Tyson Hummel - exactly. And the plot point worked perfectly for two characters. 1. Good old fashioned boy scout and a living artifact himself using new fangled tech as an olive branch. 2. The most intelligent and technologically superior person on the planet (besides young Shuri and Banner) carrying a damn flip phone around is hilarious.
I always thought there'd be an Asgard on Earth movie in Phase 4 since Hemsworth seemed eager to stay on and he's super popular now - but without Loki and Heimdall I'm not sure anymore. Maybe he'll have a movie with Valkyrie, Sif, Korg and Meek. Maybe he'll join the Guardians since he's lost everything and kinda fits in with their vibe
Thors arrival in Wakanda was definitely the most badass scene in the movie. Absolutly loved the brilliantly unlikely team up with him, Rocket and Groot.
Ragnorok was Thor’s arrival... he was okay in previous Avenger movies, but his solo movies were not very good... it would be a shame to not keep him around for a while longer, though it sucks that he’s mostly lost his entourage.
Now that he doesn’t have a kingdom or any family, he doesn’t really have a lot to stick around for… too bad they haven’t introduced Beta Ray Bill to replace him.
Lee Bays yeah damn that scene. Didn’t expect that at all. Tom Holland and RDJ acted the shit out of that. MCU, Kevin Feige what can I say? You did it again.
MovieCore Do you know if Hugo Weaving came back to play the character?? Because the voice was giving me "Littlefinger" vibes (I am totally spazzing on the actor's real name).
Fatima Atregenio Dude right?!?! I totally thought it was Aiden Gillen from GOT also. But no it's Ross Marquand from The Walking Dead. Good friend of Mark and Kristians too, he's been on the celebrity dating game impression shows they used to have
The scene when Thor meets up with Cap for the first time and he says i see you copied my beard was too funny also Thor saying learning Groot was an elective in school was good. Red Skull was an awesome cameo and Groot being the handle for Storm breaker was sick.
Dr strange knows what’s he’s doing... remember the line he said, “ were in the endgame now” or along those lines. He looked into he future and that one outcome he saw that he as good, maybe was this one
Its Kenzybro and the fact that he said that he would not spare Tony Stark and Spider-Man's life for the sake of the Stone. That's a huge clue that doctor strange is in on it

I honestly didn't even realize Olsen wasn't using her accent anymore until you mentioned it. Probably because I was invested in her portrayal of the character and not something superficial, especially since it could easily be explained as her trying to not stand out since they are in hiding.
TheLoos3Goos33 It could also be explained that in 3 years living with Avengers she slowly faded her accent out which is pretty common thing to do. Just not that fast.
My favourite part was during the battle of wakanda when Bucky interacts with rocket “how much for the gun” “it’s not for sale” “well how much for your arm?”
Alan Day Disagree, was my single favorite line in the entire movie. Merely a simple joke poking fun at this comic book universe where aliens and giant green men, not to mention the fact that Starlord is Half-God (from Ego). Even a person of faith can enjoy that absurd remark, it was just plain funny.
L O V I can take some jokes about my faith but using the name of Jesus for one is just plain wrong. I’m really surprised that Chris Pratt would be involved since he proclaimed to have faith. But hey it’s a free country.
Totally. Feige just gets why these movies work. Comics are one thing but sometimes they don’t transpire to film and that’s why you adapt. This guy deserves every accolade.
I was so happy with that choice. MCU has succeeded by knowing when to turn to the comics but also when to tell their own story. And the Gamora plot was an amazing change from the comics.
So I guess Valkyrie is dead now? I just think that it’s crazy how Thor: Ragnorak all became undone in the matter of less than a day entering the Avengers: Infinity War story. 😬
Omg bro same here, at first when I saw a grim reaper like figure, I thought it was the character "Death" but without exaggerating, when I saw Red Skull, a fucking shockwave of chills rushed from my brain, through my body, to my feet and then back to my brain again lol
I had some shitty 3D glasses so I couldn't see perfectly and I almost turned to the guy next to me to ask if that was Red Skull because I just didn't believe it was him.
I think this timeline is just depression. Somehow they are going back in time to the 1st avengers Movie. Finishing the job after the battle in New York by going to Thanos with warlock or captain marvel or both, wakanda opening their doors earlier. Like every movie after the 1st avengers no longer took place. Days of Future past on steroids
Used it multiple times, I was practically hopping out of my seat when the BiFrost opened and Stormbreaker started flying around and then you see Thor, Rocket, and Groot with the Avengers theme blaring. AMAZING. Loved Thor's whole sidequest also BTW.
My dreams came true watching this film. I love the Russo’s and Feige for making something I never thought would be possible growing up become an achievement in my late 20s. This movie was a masterful achievement and I can’t wait to watch it again right away. So many highlights - Cap holding Thanos gauntlet, even Thanos was like how the hell is he doing this - Strange being such a boss and I think he realized he needed to give away the stone to save the world, that was the one way they would win - Thanos is the best mcu villain and I would say one of the best villains in film history. That’s right look out Vader - Red Skull cameo was so shocking - I actually yelled out in the theatre that the pager would be Captain Marvel, people were like damn lol, glad no one yelled at me - Gamora and Thanos relationship - Tom Holland’s emotion at his death, wow what a gut punch - Scarlet Witch and Vision, especially after her having to finish him off and Thanos being like that must have been tough but then he brings him back and kills him - Thanos showing respect for Tony - Hulks fear and how the next movie will show the merging of the mind with Banner and Hulk - Loved Thor and his whole story with Rocket and Groot - Black Order was really great - Finally, the Russo’s for such amazing editing, the movie just flowed.
Seeing as how Rocket is the only guardian left, am I crazy for thinking Stallone and his crew of OG guardians could show up to help out in the next Avengers.
I don’t think so. They did that so they didn’t have to worry about juggling characters during the originals last horray movie. It wouldn’t make sense to suddenly add more
Nick Fury used that funky looking beeper because Captain marvel has been off Earth for the past 20 years! That's the level of human technology that she has!
I was so sad at the end :( All those relationships. Rocket and Groot , Cap and Bucky and also Ironman and Spiderman. Watching one disappearing and how the other is left broken , without any hope. It was so sad ...
David Babilon I like the partner dynamic I just wish they would’ve switched one or two of them around so the bigger name hero (iron man or cap) is the one dying.
When Star Lord Found out Ego killed his mom, he reacted the exact same way he does here when he finds out about Gamora. It pissed me off but fits right in line with character
Yeah it’s a shame that this movie’s story basically now puts the blame of everyone’s “death” after that on star lord. Which stinks because of course he would react that way after just finding out the woman he loves died. Maybe it’d be worse if he was the one to survive instead of rocket, because then the survivors could spend their time bashing him. At least he “died” like the others so can’t say he got off scot free.
If what Starlord did mattered, Dr Strange would have told him before the fight or at least tried that approach a couple of million times. The scenario is that wins seems to be Ironman having experience fighting Thanos and surviving so he can come up with the real plan later,
No shit! When you are in your 30's, it's more difficult to maintain an attractive physique, so when they told Star-Lord he was getting fat, he lashed out at an older person that has more favorable genetics.
Talon Diwisch iron man is a billionaire playboy philanthropist/genius inventor, the original ant man hank pym is a brilliant scientist, and spiderman is a teenage superhero but with real problems that we can relate to, while squirrel girl is just a squirrel girl
Not quite for me. I think Killmonger in Black Panther is the best portrayed villain in the MCU till date because I understood him, his motivations and he is relatable enough to the point that I could even choose to side with him. I just didn't get Thanos's motivations in this movie.
11:53 My interpretation is... Doctor Strange's vision of the only outcome where they the Avengers defeat Thanos is only possible if he voluntarily gives Thanos the Time Stone. Even with the "Snapping of the Fingers" enviably happening. Doctor Strange saw it as part of what needs to happen in order for the recruited of Captain Marvel to help truly defeat Thanos.
Darth Lehnsherr I’d rather them die in this film. Give the “New” Avengers a chance. It just pissed my off that some characters just apparated into dust. WTF
When Doctor Strange gave Thanos the Time Stone, he had to because he saw that was the ONE way that will ultimately lead to the defeat of Thanos. Also, I think the people who died because of the snap can be brought back, but possibly not the others who perished.
Russo Bros.- "You know how movies have three acts?" Producer- "Yeah. That's how movies work." Russo Bros.- "What if we made a movie that was a 2 1/2 hour third act? Producer- (Does a line) "You just blew my mind bro. Here's all the monies"
Given the quality of films now, cocaine is the only rational explanation. That said, I was shocked at how ballsy this film was and how well they pulled it off. They definitely hit my nerd g-spot with this one.
I think Marvel has really been focusing more on their villains lately. Thanos, killmonger, loki, vulture, zemo and hela. They really went to the extremes to accomplish their goals.
Shadow_ Lord Looks like Marvel has been learning from their past mistakes and working hard to make a movie successful. Which paid off. They are doing what DC used to do. Good villains.
I agree! That's probably why he saved Tony's life, and sacrificed the Time Stone. His last words were somewhere along the lines of "This is the only way."
I was speechless when I left the theatre I can't believe how fucking good this movie is superb performances across the board it had humor it finally had heart wrenching moments that I've wanted to see from this universe Peter being a scared little kid as he fades away Scarlett witch having to kill vision was heartbreaking so many scenes had the audience shocked and jaw dropped this is one of the best comic book films I've ever seen cannot wait to see it so many more times
I loved Thor ‘Pirate Angel’ and his Guardians of the Galaxy moments. This movie was SO funny! I didn’t empathize at all with Thanos as someone on the panel said. I get why he does what he does but still, he’s CRAZY!
Is no one gonna touch on the fact that Wanda has overpowered an infinity stone twice?, then not only destroyed the time stone, but did so while stopping thanos DEAD in his tracks? So many people, and the filmmakers themselves, tend to overlook her. They limit her screen time and only bring her in when they need a big power play. She’s an MVP and one of the most powerful characters in this universe period. Here’s hoping for more from her!
a b.o. Scarlett Witch has incredible powers, but physically she's vulnerable and unable to take too many damages. Thor's array of powers are equally impressive in this movie, the two of them together with Dr Strange are the most important heroes in this event movie.
To address the "convenience" comment about the memory Thanos extracted from Nebula; I don't think all the conversations between the characters need to be on screen. There is a gap between GotG2, where that could have taken place. I personally think it was prior to GotG1.
Saw it 6 hours ago and I still can’t believe what I saw! Thanos killed everybody 😭😭 well pretty much! Marvel Studios had the balls to basically follow the IG comic story. Incredible!!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
When Thanos has Gamora on his ship, and she said how much she hated his throne...he said he knew she hated it, but had always imagined her taking his place. He called her his favorite child in the first Guardians, so yeah. He loves her the most of all his children, and she realized too late that he did😢
I also noticed Olsen losing the accent but I just thought she must've picked up an American accent after being there for a while. Also I thought there was a certain cathartic element to the ending that left me oddly content
I'm not sure if Cap's ever had a moment in the MCU like this before. Even in the face of ridiculous odds he's always persevered, but here... it's like he was totally defeated. Chilling.
Just watched the movie and WOW! It blew me away. You could hear a pin drop as everyone walked out of the theater. It was that impactful and amazing at the same time. Everyone was literally shell-shocked by what they just watched. Such a great movie. Flawless? No. But still a great movie and a solid addition to an ever growing library of good (sometimes great) movies in the MCU.
That 1 way Strange was talking about is a lady named Captain Marvel, a duck named Howard, or is it a space horse named Beta-Ray Bill, or is it a dog named Cosmo LOL
While I agree with the praise you all gave to the Russo brothers and Feige, it's a bit disappointing that not one of you thought to mention the excellent job the screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely did, and have been doing in quite a few movies in this franchise. For example, they wrote scenes as funny as anything in Guardians or Thor: Ragnorok without distracting from the overall ominous tone of the film in general. And lot of the dramatic beats you were praising? Guess who came up with them... the screenwriters. That moan out of the way, good review overall though.
Thanos is officially the greatest villain in movie history since Darth Vader himself. His own internal conflict, he own flaws, his own emotions. He believes he is doing the right thing and feels he can't go back on his destiny despite the entire universe being against him. He is a true Shakespearean villain and his journey through this movie was as impressive, if not more impressive, than anyone else in the movie. This movie was a masterpiece.
This movie’s intensity reminded me of the same level of intensity that I had when I first saw Lord of the Rings: Return of the King when I was about 6 years old. Everyone in the theater was on the edge of their seat. So glad I watched with a huge audience. We all laughed, gasped, cried internally, and applauded several times throughout the film. Overall, great film! Felt excited and cheated at the same time.
Jennifer Ramos yeah and she’s used to going to the superhero movies with me. But this, emotionally I don’t know. I’m going to have to warn her before the movie or something. tell her they’ll end up coming back in next movie (ha hopefully)
If Star Wars want to nuke their IP leave them to it. No one should waste Marvel Studio resources because Lucasfilm decided to play themselves and say was it the best ever. When you're lazy and just buy something to trade on it's brand, rather than building on it because you care about it, that's what you should get.
Yeah Hugo Weaving didn’t want to return, so people just assumed that Red Skull wouldn’t come back. Marvel did a really good job hiding that secret, what a curveball.
Really, the thing that clued me into who the figure in the cloak was his voice, I thought I recognised Weaving's German delivery. Kudos to Marvel then for getting an actor who sounds so similar.
Thanos is the greatest villain of all time, name someone more powerful, dominating, intimidating but also relatable. What a character and what a villain
I'm not 100% sure Ebony Maw is dead. Dude was a bad ass. Thanos, Ebony Maw and Proxima Midnight are ranked in my top 5 MCU villains and they were all in this movie. Great.
I was quite gutted when i saw that since im a huge hulk fan, but i have to say that was very much necessary to truly show Thanos's badassery! The way he took him out fast! I believe hulk will get redemption in the next one tho im pretty sure i heard the Russo bros saying something like the hulk will have a 2 part story arc in infinity war 1 and 2 so im guessing, and it maybe too much to ask a world breaker hulk in the next one? Or even a merged persona hulk/banner afterall banner in IW said something like "Hulk, you and me have a lot to figure out" so im guessing maybe Hulk and Banner will come to an agreement where they both work together! 😀😀😀
For me the loss of Gamora (Possibility a permanent loss now, I hope not. She was a great character.), on top of Parker Spider-Man vanishing were the heartbreaking moments. Seeing the Red Skull finally showing back up after wondering WhereTF he went was shocking and a relief considering how long its been since the first Cap movie. But that ending, and the post-credits scene. Damn, they need to rewind time and/or fix a lot of losses. I did love the team-ups of Doctor Strange with Spider-Man and Iron Man, along with Rocket Racoon with the others from Thor to Bucky. Right now, I wish I could just jump into Avengers 4. I don't wanna see Captain Marvel, I wanna see what happens next with the survivors.
Strange is playing the long game. He knows what he did would kill everyone, but that situation would ultimately let them win. That's why he was reassuring Stark right before he faded. Like "Yo! Just trust me on this."
I think in the next one the original avengers are going team up to bring back the new avengers then the original avengers are going to die (or a lot of them). Maybe his vision will come true.
If you noticed at the end of Ragnorak, the smaller ship from Sakaar was attached to the big asgardian ship. It wasn't seen attached in infinity war. Maybe korg and valkyrie took some asgardians on that ship?
Absolutely epic. The action is on point and the ending was emotional. I want to see it again and again. Josh Brolin deserves major props for Thanos. He really embodied the “mad titan”!!
Everyone's death was shocking but Peter's death was just heartbreaking and Tom and Robert sold the fuck out of the scene
Dude him , rocket seeing groot for the last time, and gamora was so depressing
totally agree they sold it! it was heartbreaking!!!
Peters death cut me in the feels
Gamora, groot and peter are the top 3 deaths
Gamora's death was heart wrenching, but Peter's at the end did it for me, I couldn't hold back my tears man, that shyt cut me like a knife.
That “MotherFu...” line by Samuel L. at the end was great lmaoo
Jordan Myers That was ultimate fanservice and i loved it.
That was one of the worst end credit scenes of the series.
Brian Rokosz No it wasn't.
Don't curse. Why do African American actors cuss instead of talking???
Hero Hour - Yea, Chadwick swears aaaaaaaall the time. silly.
I liked how Loki finally referred to himself as a legit son of Odin. He had one of the best character arcs in the mcu
And how great that character arc is is the reason why I feel strongly that Loki is really, totally dead this time and not coming back. I mean, they tell you that in the movie with Thanos' "no resurrections this time" line, but even without that -- his character has finished his journey. @@drawingconclusions3489 this didn't age well😂😅
Don't forget "We have a Hulk."
How many people flipped out when Loki said "WE HAVE A HULK" ? I thought it was hilarious that Loki was the one who said that
But then..ya know :,(
Christopher Scott Favorite moment along with the Cap entrance and Thor entrance in Wakanda
ME TOO!
full circle
“I am Steve Rogers”
Nate Foulks I am Iron Man
I can do you one better, why Gamora
+ Nate Foulks What master do you serve?
We are Steve Rogers.
The WHOLE theatre gasped when Bucky died. Then when Black Panther crawled toward The General to pick her up and he died, there was a collective NO from the crowd. Kids were crying, shit got real. Great move with the screenplay right there. Take the bold chances, it worked.
I thought it was a great subversion too, because they were almost leading us to think that it was Okoye that was about to die.
Ethan Jones they are going to die. It seems the point is to leave the original avengers for them to sacrifice themselves in Avengers 4 next year to bring back the "New" Avengers. That's why Captain Marvel was called in the end credits.
As a Cap fan, Bucky was a strong one on me as well. I think everyone`s fan can get their share of "damn" in this
Spider-Man is my favorite super hero period, and Tom Holland is my favorite actor to have played the character, so you can imagine how I handled watching him die in front of me, even if I was aware of the fact that there is still a Spider-Man 2 coming
Unfortunately the only ones that may stay dead are loki, heimdall and gamora

You forgot about Red Skull. Also, “I am Groot” “I am Steve Rogers”
I think Thor might be sticking around longer than just next year's avengers. He was soooo badass in infinity war
J T loved it when he landed in Wakanda and Bruce yells out to the bad guys while laughing “oh you’re so screwed”
I always thought there'd be an Asgard on Earth movie in Phase 4 since Hemsworth seemed eager to stay on and he's super popular now - but without Loki and Heimdall I'm not sure anymore. Spider-Man, by far, was the saddest moment in the movie. Damn it was so sad.
It DEFINITELY BROKE ME! A couple times I felt choked up for a second but damn.... Spidey!
Lee Bays his was the most dramatic, but it worked. At the end of the day he's just a kid scared of death
Soul stone was also deep!
Lee Bays yeah damn that scene. Didn’t expect that at all. Tom Holland and RDJ acted the shit out of that. MCU, Kevin Feige what can I say? You did it again.
SAME!! I was holding my breath the whole time when that happened.
It just validated that maybe he is my favorite character in this whole universe
Biggest "Oh shit" moment for me was definitely Red Skull. I never thought he would come back but was uber-pumped when he showed up

MovieCore same. I litteraly shouted "oh shit....Redskull".
I loved the mometary subversion of having Schmidt in almost a death-like shroud.
alwaysxnever who the hell is Schmidt?
My favorite line: “You can’t be a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man if there’s no neighborhood “. 💔 👊
Muffalo Swolja They had so many quotes in this movie I kinda forgot about that one XD
The scene when Thor meets up with Cap for the first time and he says i see you copied my beard was too funny also Thor saying learning Groot was an elective in school was good. Red Skull was an awesome cameo and Groot being the handle for Storm breaker was sick.
"This is my friend: Tree"
"I am Groot"

Its Kenzybro I was thinking that too. I did hate to see him disentergrate tho. Spidey wrecked me at the end.😢😢
Well yeah
He knows. Strange has no reaction when Quill cracks and starts beating Thanos, thus spoiling the plan. He admits that "it was the only way" before he disintegrates, and the aforementioned "endgame" comment.
"Where is Gamora?!"
"Who is Gamora?!
"Why is Gamora!"
A Runner's Ramble
Where is Gamora?
Who is Gamora?
Why is Gamora?
Whoops! 😅
That part cracked me up llllllllolllloll
How is Gamora?
1. She's dead
2. She's an adopted daughter of thanos
3. Coz she's the only one to be loved by thanos.
😉
Nobody mourns Heimdall, rip Heimdall :(
According to Grace, he was African American so he died first
Thor mourned him
Hero Hour oh fuck grace. I hate reaction videos with a passion. Why do people enjoy watching someone go “oooo” and “wow”?
Shit. He did die first didn't he. That is kinda messed up.
Loved Heimdall, and basically all the other Asgardians.
:'(
Total beast, like what he did in The Dark World: ua-cam.com/video/CHvlxX-58I0/v-deo.html
Every time Cap was about to do something the Avengers theme kicked in. What a badass. I hope he plays a bigger role in 4
Hulk got straight humbled.. To the point of fear.
silenttoxic707
Banner: come on Hulk
Hulk: NNNOOOOOOOOO
I loved the idea of this but didn't the execution feel a bit Shrek-like?
Yup lol
Thanos only had the power stone but he beat him to a pulp , nerf thanos pls
I noticed that he didn't even use the power stone to defeat Hulk either. It appeared in the movie that the stones or gauntlet didn't work unless he clinched his fist
This movie delivered.
Worth every penny I spent on the ticket!
Justice League forum is elsewhere.....u lost bro?
I love Thor's arc through the film and especially the part where he forges the new hammer.
The Paladin I loved that they keep pulling from the ultimate comics marvel at their best
The Paladin the new axe is actually so big makes it so intimidating
That moment when he took the full strength of the star and survived, you say to yourself " Yep, he is THE GOD!"
I honestly didn't even realize Olsen wasn't using her accent anymore until you mentioned it. Probably because I was invested in her portrayal of the character and not something superficial, especially since it could easily be explained as her trying to not stand out since they are in hiding.

My favourite part was during the battle of wakanda when Bucky interacts with rocket “how much for the gun” “it’s not for sale” “well how much for your arm?”
Linsey Rose yes! Then he’s... I’m gonna get that arm.
Doing a 360 while shooting their machine guns , well played.
When winter soldier died. His arm should have stayed on the ground.
"Okay well tell me this..which master do you serve?"
"What am I supposed to say Jesus?"
+ Brendan Graham That legit had me ROFL then Tony's look lol 😅😅
Brendan Graham Lmao
Could have done without that, why mock people’s faith for a quick joke.
Alan Day
Disagree, was my single favorite line in the entire movie.
I also like that instead of bringing a love interest for Thanos in Death, instead they focused that love for Gamora. Wow!!!
Brent McAllister yeah that wasn’t going to work... too out there and non-sensical
Totally. Feige just gets why these movies work. Comics are one thing but sometimes they don’t transpire to film and that’s why you adapt. This guy deserves every accolade.
Raghu Sharma Thank you *FANNING TEARS*
I was so happy with that choice. MCU has succeeded by knowing when to turn to the comics but also when to tell their own story. And the Gamora plot was an amazing change from the comics.
Yeahhh a giant purple dude having a fetish for death... that'd be too weird, even for the marvel cinematic universe
I loved Red Skull’s reveal! I had goosebumps and cheered seeing his return! 😱 I’ve only waited 7 years to find out what happened to him?! 😅
Ross Marquand (Aaron on The Walking Dead) was credited as Red Skull in the credits.
2nd biggest gasp in the showing i attended, next to Groot's death.
“Mr Stark I don’t wanna go”
Those words really got the best of me
"I am groot." "No. No, no." Rocket losing Groot broke my heart too.
my sister was crying like a baby at this point XD
Got me like when Wade got shot in Saving Private Ryan....FUCKING INTENSE!
Its Kenzybro “I don’t wanna go, I don’t wanna go back to Sony please Mr. Stark.”
To be fair, It's Tony's fault that kid was there. He pushed Peter into being an avenger. He had to pay the cost of being the boss.
SQUIDWARD
IKR
I usually hate marvel humor, but that is one of the few moments where I just laughed out loud uncontrollably
Earth is closed
The grimace and nut sack chin comments were golden too
red skull moment was crazyyyyy
I know, I scream out that's red skull
Feliciano Russell lol me too
I thought it was going to be Death, then i thought it was going to be Hella as Death, then i literally jumped out of my seat when I saw the Red Skull
“I don’t feel so good”😪
Yo. Tony's face when he realizes the group he has with him on Titan. I think he almost lost some hope there.
Haha. Yeah. But Tony knew Dr. Strange could hang with him.
I couldn’t stop laughing at that part I make the same face when my girl starts to talk lol.
Rico Juarez he lost all hope
Rico Juarez real talk!
Thor appearing in Wakanda was my favorite moment. Mainly because it was the only time they used the Silvestri theme.
Shiv Patel They used it when cap and the avengers show up in Scotland to save Wanda and Vision too
BRING ME THANOS
Used it multiple times, I was practically hopping out of my seat when the BiFrost opened and Stormbreaker started flying around and then you see Thor, Rocket, and Groot with the Avengers theme blaring. AMAZING.
Loved Thor's whole sidequest also BTW.
Let's be honest, Captain America had the best entrance in the movie
Shiv Patel the audience cheered when Thor appeared in Wakanda.
"I don't wanna go ".....back to Sony completely, I just got to MARVEL
This was a "happy ending" movie............for Thanos.
“Thanos will return...”
Logan LoL
Logan he had a line about sitting and watching the sunrise knowing he had succeeded, and that's exactly what he did, with a smile on his face.
Havohei it was his story everything was from his perspective and it worked brilliantly
lol but was it actually a happy ending for him? I feel like he doesn't have a clear conscious after killing half the universe.
My dreams came true watching this film. I love the Russo’s and Feige for making something I never thought would be possible growing up become an achievement in my late 20s.
This movie was a masterful achievement and I can’t wait to watch it again right away.
So many highlights
- Cap holding Thanos gauntlet, even Thanos was like how the hell is he doing this
- Strange being such a boss and I think he realized he needed to give away the stone to save the world, that was the one way they would win
- Thanos is the best mcu villain and I would say one of the best villains in film history. That’s right look out Vader
- Red Skull cameo was so shocking
- I actually yelled out in the theatre that the pager would be Captain Marvel, people were like damn lol, glad no one yelled at me
- Gamora and Thanos relationship
- Tom Holland’s emotion at his death, wow what a gut punch
- Scarlet Witch and Vision, especially after her having to finish him off and Thanos being like that must have been tough but then he brings him back and kills him
- Thanos showing respect for Tony
- Hulks fear and how the next movie will show the merging of the mind with Banner and Hulk
- Loved Thor and his whole story with Rocket and Groot
- Black Order was really great
- Finally, the Russo’s for such amazing editing, the movie just flowed.
Seeing as how Rocket is the only guardian left, am I crazy for thinking Stallone and his crew of OG guardians could show up to help out in the next Avengers.
I don’t think so. They did that so they didn’t have to worry about juggling characters during the originals last horray movie. It wouldn’t make sense to suddenly add more
bring everyone.. All the TV heroes, SHIELD, Iron Fist, .
.. as long as it's done well like this movie was... I don't care how many chars they bring.
I'll do you a big one, where is Gamora? I'll do you a bigger one, who is Gamora? I'll do you an even bigger one? WHY is Gamora?
That's not even the actual quote
Spider-Mans death was definitely the saddest! “I don’t want to go!” That line hit me right in the feels!
Keyser Soeze Yeah!
Damn! that Spidey scene with tony at the end!! Don't mind saying it kinda got me in the feels ;(
xodak max that tom kid has a knack for turning on the drama.
Yeah Holland has amazing delivery, that scene and the one in homecoming.
That scene got me choked up, Tom Holland is such an incredible actor
Reminded me of leonardo dicaprio dying in The Quick and The Dead.
xodak max I agree! Tom Holland is the best Spider-Man imo.
The scenario is that wins seems to be Ironman having experience fighting Thanos and surviving so he can come up with the real plan later,
All the original Avengers survived. They up to some shit.
Brenden Johnson yea
That 1 way Strange was talking about is a lady named Captain Marvel, or is it a space horse named Beta-Ray Bill, or is it a dog named Cosmo LOL
Benito Riggio Okoye also survived
It is extremely obvious that everyone who "died" has a sequel and will come back, and everyone who didn't die, is not coming back for a sequel.
It's low key all star lords fault
Gavriel lol you can't blame him tho
No shit! When you are in your 30's, it's more difficult to maintain an attractive physique, so when they told Star-Lord he was getting fat, he lashed out at an older person that has more favorable genetics.
Gavriel for a second there I thought you were trying to say Loki and I was really confused
Its all part of Dr. Stranges plan. This is the one outcome he saw in which they win.
My names Jeff but they were so close aha
Thanos enjoying his time now but wait till squirrel girl shows up then shit getting real lol
michael tinishanay he ain't ready for squirrel girl!!
She'll just be all up on his nuts.
I love Marvel, but really a character called squirrel girl... now that’s just lazy writing ✍️
Harvarian Wonder You mean just like Iron-Man, Ant-Man and Spider-Man?
Talon Diwisch iron man is a billionaire playboy philanthropist/genius inventor, the original ant man hank pym is a brilliant scientist, and spiderman is a teenage superhero but with real problems that we can relate to, while squirrel girl is just a squirrel girl
The set up for the Original Avengers to have their send-off in part 4 was masterfully done.
inukazega,
I thought so too. Damn. They did it.
Thanos is perhaps the greatest comic book movie villain i have ever seen. As much as i luv d avengers...thanos stole the show
Best MCU Villain easy, and my personal favorite movie
Sami Shamroukh they could of named it, Avengers: Thanos
Not quite for me. I think Killmonger in Black Panther is the best portrayed villain in the MCU till date because I understood him, his motivations and he is relatable enough to the point that I could even choose to side with him. I just didn't get Thanos's motivations in this movie.
Same
Agreed. Thanos is the king of villains. No one comes close to his caliber.
Mr Fisk would like to see you now
How cool was it that they brought back Red skull. That was a total surprise, I wondered if he would return after the way he left the first avenger
Not Sure The way he went in "The First Avenger" left it open but I always tought he went to another place
Not Sure. It's not the same guy. I wish weaving would have returned, but it was cool they brought back the character.
Algiers C true
Nearly 38 minutes and not a single mention of Red Skull. Poor form
Nor why the heck Thanos kept turning things into bubbles.
Dwan Garcez De Oliveira he was prob a spongebob fan
I thought so, very big moment in the film, I audibly went "OH!?"in the theatre
11:53 My interpretation is... Doctor Strange's vision of the only outcome where they the Avengers defeat Thanos is only possible if he voluntarily gives Thanos the Time Stone. Even with the "Snapping of the Fingers" enviably happening. Doctor Strange saw it as part of what needs to happen in order for the recruited of Captain Marvel to help truly defeat Thanos.
When u realize that all of the original Avengers crew survived..
...and this is when my afterglow starts to fade. I still enjoyed it, but far from perfect.
Along with Nebula and Okoye.
Yeah so they can die/retire permanently in Avengers 4
Darth Lehnsherr I’d rather them die in this film. Give the “New” Avengers a chance. It just pissed my off that some characters just apparated into dust. WTF
athena jazz and Rhodey and Rocket
When Doctor Strange gave Thanos the Time Stone, he had to because he saw that was the ONE way that will ultimately lead to the defeat of Thanos.
Also, I think the people who died because of the snap can be brought back, but possibly not the others who perished.
Frost Organa shuri saved vision she uploaded something
deano brown didnt notice but could be honestly
Spiderman, Black Panther and Dr. Strange will deffinetely come back. Not sure about Falcon, Winter Soldier and the Guardians.
My names Jeff they all come back just not the guys that died before the finger snap
That 1 way is a lady named Captain Marvel, or is it a space horse named Beta-Ray Bill, or is it a dog named Cosmo LOL
Yheaaaaaaaaa!!! Thor has become my favorite Avenger!!
Gerson Torres definitely
Russo Bros.- "You know how movies have three acts?"
Producer- "Yeah. That's how movies work."
Russo Bros.- "What if we made a movie that was a 2 1/2 hour third act?
Producer- (Does a line) "You just blew my mind bro. Here's all the monies"
John Summers
lol
Lol. The line bro? Like all producers do coke. Who am I kidding... They probably all do coke
Given the quality of films now, cocaine is the only rational explanation. That said, I was shocked at how ballsy this film was and how well they pulled it off. They definitely hit my nerd g-spot with this one.
John Summers well..actually there are 3 acts..you just didnt understand it because the action scenes were very climactic
there was even an energy shield dome at the all out war
The movie more than delivers. Nuff said, going again tonight.
Dr. Strange knew they needed Stark to stay alive. For what I don't know. Strange is the real MVP!!
Mpulse Beats u know it was meaningful because it was the one thing he said he wouldnt do
Mpulse Beats yea, him & Thor
Dr. Strange saw the one outcome where the Avengers ultimately win. Remember that!
I agree! That's probably why he saved Tony's life, and sacrificed the Time Stone. His last words were somewhere along the lines of "This is the only way."
Oh snap that’s right!!!
Alec Arena exactly. It was the only way. I have no idea how but it was. I trust Doc Strange
That 1 way is a lady named Captain Marvel, or is it a space horse named Beta-Ray Bill, or is it a dog named Cosmo LOL
Then he said "...this was the only outcome...". Is Strange really a trustworthy narrator?
T'Challa dying got me the most because I had JUST seen his movie before Infinity War.
The ending blew my mind...everyone in the theater was shocked and trying to figure out what happened. That Peter and Tony scene almost made me tear up
I was speechless when I left the theatre I can't believe how fucking good this movie is superb performances across the board it had humor it finally had heart wrenching moments that I've wanted to see from this universe Peter being a scared little kid as he fades away Scarlett witch having to kill vision was heartbreaking so many scenes had the audience shocked and jaw dropped this is one of the best comic book films I've ever seen cannot wait to see it so many more times
Totally agree here!! I wonder whether she is gonna show her powers again in Avenger 4, considering her death! =(
I got one question: "WHY IS GAMORA??"
To address the "convenience" comment about the memory Thanos extracted from Nebula; I don't think all the conversations between the characters need to be on screen. There is a gap between GotG2, where that could have taken place. I personally think it was prior to GotG1.
I thought the same thing too.
That soul stone moment was saddest but best thing about this
Hawkeye was the best part
Edgar Rodriguez HeHeHeHe
Ahahahahaaaaa
I like the part when hes all like not in the movie
Nah bro ant man stole the show
Edgar Rodriguez We trolled ourselves looking for Hawkeye. 😫😫😫
I loved the Squidward line, had me rolling in the aisle!. :-)
He loves her the most of all his children, and she realized too late that he did😢
Dr Strange, “we’re in the end game now!” Is the line of the movie
You got it right.
Yup
You should have aimed for the head...... SNAP
John Wick would've gone for the head
Shut up DC fan. Go Cry for Martha
Yeah, don't respond if u ain't got a point, idiot. Go home to Martha
That ending was INSANE. I reminds me of the 2nd Lord of the Rings movie... a good movie that leaves you wanting to see how the next movie ends.
I also noticed Olsen losing the accent but I just thought she must've picked up an American accent after being there for a while. Also I thought there was a certain cathartic element to the ending that left me oddly content
the way Steve said "Oh God" at the very end....that literally sent such a shockwave in my audience that no one, NO ONE said a word
It literally blew some people away for sure
Russo Brothers were the best, they made Winter Soldier basically the best movie to me, even now (if you dont count Infinity War)
IMLR. Winter soldier was a badass movie, possibly the best marvel movie of all
Winter Soldier is so cool. It's great. Cap's trilogy is awesome.
Winter Soldier, Civil War and Infinity War.
All incredible and all in my top 5 (if not top 3) MCU films.
IMLR. They also did Civil War. Outside of Black Panther they have easily directed the 3 (soon tp be 4) best films in the MCU
IMLR. So Infinty War is your best ?
While I agree with the praise you all gave to the Russo brothers and Feige, it's a bit disappointing that not one of you thought to mention the excellent job the screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely did, and have been doing in quite a few movies in this franchise. For example, they wrote scenes as funny as anything in Guardians or Thor: Ragnorok without distracting from the overall ominous tone of the film in general. And lot of the dramatic beats you were praising? Guess who came up with them... the screenwriters. That moan out of the way, good review overall though.
Agree, Schnepp is always throwing out that praise. I even have to remind myself to mention " the writers" when I praise Winter soldier, and Civil War.
Thanos IS the best MCU Villian PERIOD.
Anthony Acosta I would say he’s deserves to be up there with one of the best villains in film history period. That’s right looking at you Vader
Raghu Sharma Exactly
No doubt.
Raghu Sharma not even close...
Anthony Acosta What a hot take!! Who else is there douche bag?
Thanos is officially the greatest villain in movie history since Darth Vader himself. His own internal conflict, he own flaws, his own emotions. He believes he is doing the right thing and feels he can't go back on his destiny despite the entire universe being against him. He is a true Shakespearean villain and his journey through this movie was as impressive, if not more impressive, than anyone else in the movie.
This movie was a masterpiece.
Deadeye313 it was a 8/10 at best kids movie, calm down.
I just saw the movie and I am shocked and speechless...LIKE WHAT HAPPENS IN AVENGERS 4 and this was definitely Thanos movie
Gabriel Benton yeah I told my friend it reminded me same impact as lor 1 & 2.
Avengers: Infinity War is one of the best blockbuster movies ever. It's a fantastic movie. So damn good. All the words, all the records.
Rocket asking Bucky how much is his gun and metal arm! 😂😂😂
allan cruz then he was like I’ll get it somehow
Maaannnn this is gonna break little kids. Like Optimus Prime dying levels.
PickyPrinny It broke me, I can't believe how amazing it was and I can't believe the Acorns on the writers and Directors
Yeah I’ve got an 8 year old girl and she’s been wanting to see it, I saw it last night. I’m debating now on even letting her see it honestly
PickyPrinny I was thinking the same thing. My nephew is 11, so I think he'll be OK. But the younglings? It sounds too upsetting.
Jennifer Ramos yeah and she’s used to going to the superhero movies with me. But this, emotionally I don’t know. I’m going to have to warn her before the movie or something. tell her they’ll end up coming back in next movie (ha hopefully)
At my showing a little girl was crying and her mom too. I had tears when they all died
Is Kevin Feige a Star Wars fan? They could use some executive help over there!
Nita The Diva He actually is lmao. He showed up on the Star Wars show.
If Star Wars want to nuke their IP leave them to it. No one should waste Marvel Studio resources because Lucasfilm decided to play themselves and say was it the best ever.
When you're lazy and just buy something to trade on it's brand, rather than building on it because you care about it, that's what you should get.
Ross Marquand as Red Skull. was wondering why THR posted an interview with him at the premiere a couple of days ago. makes sense now.
MKSongbird wearing a red suit... sneaky
The Russo Bros said the voices behind the Black Order would be recognizable but I didn’t know for the entirety of the movie.
I only detected one, I think. Ebony Maw, was he voiced by Domnhall Gleeson?
Thanos is the greatest villain of all time, name someone more powerful, dominating, intimidating but also relatable. What a character and what a villain
Azor Ahai Thanos is up there with Darth Vader and The Joker (The Dark Knight) as some of the greatest villains of all time.
God I agree god, I agree ☝️
The 3 best villians of all time... Toss in the Predator as well.
The legend27
Thulsa Doom
Killmonger, Zemo and Vulture were all good...but Thanos shits on them. To me, he gives Ledger a fun for his money as best villain ever. Amazing movie.
Just got home from seeing movie omg can't talk to anyone about it so I'm glad your spoiler review dropped. Closes thing to a discussion lol
RIGHT!
I was depressed all night. Still not really happy.
We need a support group.
this review is too short
Bruno 148 That Spiderman and Groot parts ugh killed me
William jones A recovery group lol
Ebony Maw is extremely powerful, I feel like being shot out into space shouldn't have killed him.
LoboTheSequel yes, I would have loved to see more of him
I was surprised that killed him.
Princess Leia like what’s the big deal...
I'm not 100% sure Ebony Maw is dead. Dude was a bad ass. Thanos, Ebony Maw and Proxima Midnight are ranked in my top 5 MCU villains and they were all in this movie. Great.
Alex, Thanos only used the time stone once in the film and he only went back maybe a minute
I had to laugh a little when Thanos gave Hulk that grown man ass whoopin.
GS79 Lmao you read my mind but it should still be interesting
Tony's vision from Ultron came true here (slightly different), but I do think Strange is doing something funky with the time stone.
Noah Smith hopefully
Strange is playing the long game. He knows what he did would kill everyone, but that situation would ultimately let them win. That's why he was reassuring Stark right before he faded. Like "Yo! Just trust me on this."
I think in the next one the original avengers are going team up to bring back the new avengers then the original avengers are going to die (or a lot of them). Maybe his vision will come true.
I think Thanos used the reality stone and trapped them in a “death” dimension.. it wasn’t a real ‘snap’
Rubber Ducky yea thatz exaclty what the girl said
As far as females go in the MCU, Scarlett Witch was just too badass! She was killin fools! :D
FILM was EPIC, but what happend to Valkyrie, Cosmo the Space Dog, and Howard the Duck LOL
Zias B Lou they ded man rip
Howard is on that Ravager port planet
Don’t forget korg
Korg and Miek tho
If you noticed at the end of Ragnorak, the smaller ship from Sakaar was attached to the big asgardian ship. It wasn't seen attached in infinity war. Maybe korg and valkyrie took some asgardians on that ship?
Heyyy, Reilly's engaged. :) Good for you, sir. Congrats.
I second this sentiment. Right on Sir. 👏👏👏
Thirdsies lol Congrats Rielly!
Absolutely epic. The action is on point and the ending was emotional. I want to see it again and again. Josh Brolin deserves major props for Thanos. He really embodied the “mad titan”!!
