Hi Tim! Had to cut some dead dry white oak yesterday. Man that wood is hard as a brick! Before I cut, I sharpened my chain just like you showed in your video. Ooowee ! Best cutting chain I’ve had in a long time! Made short work of it. Those two passes on the rakes made all the difference. Thanks bud!!
Mine is race ported and tuned, I run a 24" full chisel so I don't have to bend down for limbing and it works nice....even with a heavy solid sprocket nose bar.
@cottontop3 I could buy 372 new for 100 less and I like the look better. Should I get the 572? I have 2 70 cc saws. Should I just get a 90? *that grapple and mini are so nice(good for boulder walls too). Sometimes I think no thumb and a good grapple attachment like this would be great. Also your equipment loves you Tim. You are such a kind operator to anything you run. Maintinece conscious ect. My 040 has 900 hrs and looks like it has 3000 haha. It has mostly done clearing work and is so small for it. She will make huge trees go the way I need them too.
This is tree cutting on a house lot, not timber harvest on a forest tract. So the second most important thing is not destroying any buildings or vehicles the land owner has there (safety is first), so you will cut trees differently to achieve that. Further lumber mills, chip manufacturers, and even firewood producers often will not buy trees from residential areas because they tend to have nails, screws, wire, fencing and other metal bits inside as the tree has grown around them, these metal bits will ruin the equipment should they hit it.
I miss the grapple saw Tim. There's gotta be a way!! Is this your new hobby or is the big wood business getting a little thin and you need to make some play money? None of my business, all I see is a man doing honest work with some really cool Toys....eerr Tools I mean.. seeya.
Lier you don't nèed earplugs you need earmuffs why because earmuffs are made to protect your ears but with the foam plugs they do absolutely nothing because they will get stuck in your ears.
THAT MINI IS AWESOME TIM THAT IS A GAME CHANGER IN MANY WAYS WITH an EXPERIENCED OPERATER AS YOU TIM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You've sold me on the Rotobec grapple. As soon as I get a mini x I'm planning to get a grapple to go with it.
YOU KNOW how to AIM a TREE TIM.
SHOW THE WORLD HOW ITs DONE.
THAT is a MANs WORK. and YOU are ONE
Good morning Tim hope you and your family had a great 4th of July weekend
You really like that Mini!
Great video Tim 👍👍👍. The mini made the cleanup a lot easier.
Great job on your video Tim I enjoyed it thank you for sharing
It’s been a long time since I could read all the comments left before mine. I sure like the the Kubota and the grapple.
Nice saws! 372XP is still the best saw I've ever run overall....and I've ran a lot of em.

Great video as always Tim
Thing sure seems useful. Good stuff Tim
Great video always enjoy watching your video have a great week
Have you ever think about ithe grapple with the saw that rotobec has ?
Great job. Great job on the video
Are you able to keep the branches out of them hoses running next to the thumb? Seems like if they was a bit shorter might be out of the way?
I need to send you a picture of the tap root I dug out the other day. I've never seen such a thing.
Saw man at his best!!!
The Rotobec grapple is getting a workout. You only had it for a few months and it’s already in need a paint job.

Can get 39x or 59x forgot last # ha ha
Anyone's input is appreciated.
The auto tune saws are such a joy to run. If you have a good dealer get them to let u cut some cookies with one.
Thank You Tim! I'll get the newer series saws instead of trying to scoop up last of the old ones. Now I just gotta decide 572xp or bigger!
Dang that 550 is loud!! #screamindeamon
Why do u cut gge stumps up so high I was always told the clearest partbif the wood was toward the ground

Like the crap out that grapple
Y you cut so hight up, so much waist off wood.

The mini doesn’t have enough oil flow nor oil capacity to run a saw with everything else.
Nu hat er schon ein Bagger und sägt auf der Erde rum

What a load of rubbish.
