    Let’s not forget the centuries of hand cut joinery too

    It’s not “THE” answer it is AN answer. There are lots of ways to build stuff without fasteners

    I wonder if you could put another flat bit of wood on top then set a few weights on it to hold down all the legs for the glue up.

    Mounting the camera on something you will hammer on is brilliant!

    In a situation like that where you can't use a clamp u can use a ratchet strap

    Gravity will not work with wood glue my friend, there’s a minimum psi of clamping required for wood glue, please look up bridge clamping; this would be a solution or epoxy 👍🏻

    Turn it over and put weighs on it

    Absurd amount of glue here. And you should wait 30-60 mins for the glue to partially dry. That way you can use a dull chisel or knife to scrap it off very cleanly

    to much glue is not a good idea, when clamping you can creat a hydraulic pressure that can actually split the wood, ask me how I know heh heh

    If you turn the table you could clamp it or at least put something heavy on the table to act like a clamp.

    Let’s not forget that costs $2k and the average Joe ain’t forking that out for some wood joinery, this is for carpenters and rich men

    Kind of a weak design.
    You are putting a lot of faith on those dominoes. Dominoes and glue are typically strong, but ...
    Anytime someone's elbows touches that table....
    Well, live and learn.

      I’m curious myself to see how these stand up to a real world test. Might add support braces if I start seeing any failure.

      Either minimalistic corner braces between the table and legs or a more obtrusive boxed frame connecting all the legs.
      Me... I'd go for the corner braces.
      1/3 the table leg distance from the table down, perpendicular to the 2x6 leg should work.

      @@andyyrew yes... I don't know anything about joinery. Except what did they do before using a domino jointer? Mortise and tennon? Floating tennons. All cut by hand? I bet you finish everything you make with a random orbital sander too...
      Go learn how to use hand tools then come talk to me.

    • @timrenaud8673
      @timrenaud8673 2 роки тому +1

      I don’t understand your point here Spizz, first of all you can’t even spell tenon right. Second of all a floating tenon and regular tenon offer the same strength and a domino will cut a tighter fitting mortise than you would my friend

    • @bradd3rz1
      @bradd3rz1 Рік тому +2

      @@timrenaud8673 a mortise and tenon is around 30% stronger than a floating tenon, it has a larger glue area and surface area in the joint. The dominos a handy tool, I own the 500 and 700. The domino massively simplifies joinery but overall produce a more basic and weaker product.

    Sorry but that’s not how wood glue (pva) works it did nothing scientifically proven you might as well have used zero glue it’s literally like 3000 psi that wood glue needs to set correctly look up wood by wright great glue test like please don’t show people how to do poor work you could have done so many things to do it right like literally super glue would have been better but use polyurethane glue you know gorilla glue or epoxy is what I would’ve used like hide glue even best furniture glue in the world as it’s removable come on do better please don’t make videos about how to incorrectly make wood furniture it’s dangerous but it does help me make thousands of dollars a month going behind all of you o customers homes fixing your broken furniture you sold them on Facebook then upgrading them to real fine furniture throughout there house so maybe it’s a win for me but I do not like people getting over on others or misinformation period. Yes I will stand by this yes I can prove it with papers & studies done by professionals even mit did a paper on pva and wood glue in like 2013…..
