Hi guys, thanks for watching the video. Couple of small mistakes made in this video: - 2009 grand final the Storm actually finished 4th, they were not 1st place - The person that kicked the winning goal in the 1999 grand final was Matt Geyer not Mark Geyer We also didn’t mention that both the 2007 & 2009 grand finals are now vacant titles due to the Storm’s salary cap breach because we have mentioned this in other videos and wanted to focus on the matches themselves. We apologise for the confusion. We also had to trim some video content from our number 14, 4 and 1 picks due to copyright infringements which is why the editing looks a bit dodgy. That gave the Cowboys necessary field position further upfield, after which Morgan ran his miracle line and gave that miracle pass. 2015 had the best finish, but for me 2003 is the best game by a mile (and I don't support either side). Something big happens every minute and even after the great tackle from Sattler the Panthers coughed up the ball on the next set turning the tide again. It's played in horrendous conditions as well which adds to the spectacle as the ball keeps coming free.
The 2012 grand final will always be the worst in NRL history , the outcome was so predictable , an underwhelming first half clearly surpassed by a completely dull second half , that game was straight up torture. 2014 bias aside ❤💚 The 2003 grand final will always be the best in my opinion , given that the Roosters were stacked with superstars and looking to go back to back against an underrated Panthers team that came from virtually nowhere to utilmately take the premiership. The Scott Sattler tackle on a flying Todd Byrne will always be a stand out moment.
No , they were minor premiers. The bookies might have had them as favourite going into the game , but that didn't fool anyone. The Bulldogs saved one their worst performances for that final , which included James Graham being put on report for an alleged bite on Billy Slater. Just imagine having to drink lime juice at a frat party , entertaining and fun? Absolutely not.
@@alexmurray4105 So you agree with his choice of the 2008 grand final as being the worst? A game that saluted one of the game's finest secondrowers to ever lace up a boot in Steve Menzies? He was a quality defender himself , the vast majority can say what they want about Manly , but he deserved his swan song.
How the hell do you have 2008 as the worst??? 40-0 against a team 1 million over the cap & reversing the previous years result. 2000 GF was easily the worst.
How could a 40 points to nil flogging be anything but the worst? I'd also suggest the team that your beloved Manly played that day were within the cap.....Cameron didn't play.
2014 Bunnies was IMO the best. A tight game for the first 65 minutes with the Bunnies eventually pressing home their deserved win. But it was the other things that made it special; the sense of theatre, the Burgess-Sattler "re-enactment", the 43 year drought, the ringing of the bell and so on. A special day, not just a GF.
The ruling in 2019 where the hall hit the trainer is absolutely correct. Even if Whitehead had regathered it would not have counted. Once the ball is impeded by a trainer in that manner the loose head and feed goes to the team in attacking territory. It's a shit rule but its the right rule.
They changed it this year to replay from the last stoppage in play, so a play the ball, scrum, kick restart, or anything that puts the ball back into play.
The reason the raiders lost in 2019 is they spent 60 minutes going side to side essentially giving the roosters 2 extra defenders in the sidelines. They should have won that game but going sideline to sideline works once or twice a game not 5 times.
2008 the worst of them? Manly won the GF by a still record margin against a team that was rorting the cap by over 1 million $$. This is the best GF and GF final ever! Never be repeated again
@@hameeddown how many records do we need? Here's a few more for you. 1. manly is the only team to be in a GF in every decade since the 50's. 2. Only team to win a GF in every decade since the 70's 3. never had a spoon. 4. Highest winning percentage historically (except for melbourne and brisbane since they have been in the competition for a lot less)
Pretty spot on assessment The only thing that annoys me about the winner is that Thurston got the cc There were at least three players more deserving of the award in that game
2016 as a shark supporter was a season like no other. Their absolute floggings of Newcastle & a few more & 2 length of the field tries by Luke Lewis who was a 2nd rower was amazing. Losing Barba in 2017 was my decline as a lover of NRL

I'm a Penrith man and it felt like a classic. I can't rank it though because of bias. Of the NRL deciders I'd still have 2015 at the top.
Please make more videos
16:40 the roosters were sponsored by halo 2? I didn't even know you could be sponsored by a specific game
Dam
Scott sattler try saving tackle is the best to see in a grand final imagine jarome luai doing that would be terrific
Yeah waiting for the boys to repeat the 1991 grand final in 2021 come back from that loss
2010 was the best day of a dragons fans life
The great thing with this list is no one would argue which is #1.
Maybe the most exciting game ever, fial or no final.
Yeah hard to argue with this list. Hopefully 2020 between Penrith and Melbourne will be special too.
Well here to tell you nothing special happened storm won as fucking always hahahah
@@elliemclaren6094 not always. Roosters took care of them in 2018 hehe
2000 has to be higher ranked than 2017
In 2015 broncos vs cowboys that was a really good game cause I go for broncos then Ben hunt drop it the jt got the drop kick
2015 the best grand final..2005 Benji flick pass to sort of change the way the game has been played. as a wests tigers fan.
I know this video is 3 years old and probably won’t get seen but anyways where would you rank the latest grand finals
it should say 2016 sharks vs storm grand final not 2015, but keep the good work on all of your videos! (on the timestamps)
1999 upset Mundine no end , and he still hasn't shut up about it , or even gotten over it
great list
@Greatestgameofalltime
10:00 not going to lie I did a double take at bulldogs being 1st in 2012.
It was truly a different time.
Every team has their ups and downs in certain periods of time.
I definitely agree with 2015 being #1
The 2012 grand final will always be the worst in NRL history , the outcome was so predictable , an underwhelming first half clearly surpassed by a completely dull second half , that game was straight up torture.
2012 was simply a defensive masterclass from Melbourne, and I’m pretty sure the dogs were the favourites going into the game
What a load of crap! Melbourne has never been the underdog when it comes to the grand final , you must have enjoyed being bored into a coma?
@@benkerrison3340 are you forgetting how good the Bulldogs were in 2012?
One question what's the ref doing at 0:59
How the hell do you have 2008 as the worst???
40-0 against a team 1 million over the cap & reversing the previous years result.
2000 GF was easily the worst.
this was the biggest arse kicking in a grand final .that is the facts
2018 gotta be one of the worst. So underwhelming and became boring after 20 minutes
How could a 40 points to nil flogging be anything but the worst? I'd also suggest the team that your beloved Manly played that day were within the cap.....Cameron didn't play.
@@russoswerve3974 Haters gonna hate 😈😈

2014 Bunnies was IMO the best.
A tight game for the first 65 minutes with the Bunnies eventually pressing home their deserved win.
But it was the other things that made it special; the sense of theatre, the Burgess-Sattler "re-enactment", the 43 year drought, the ringing of the bell and so on. A special day, not just a GF.
Sam playing injured, George Burgess power run for the try that gave the Rabbitohs the advantage, Reynolds sneaking through to score....
2015 hands down, up my boys!! ONYA COWBOYS
The ruling in 2019 where the hall hit the trainer is absolutely correct. Even if Whitehead had regathered it would not have counted. Once the ball is impeded by a trainer in that manner the loose head and feed goes to the team in attacking territory. It's a shit rule but its the right rule.
Also Keary had his legs taken out so they should have got a penalty for it
L. Edward Soulgambler 100% correct, couldn't agree more... hope you enjoyed the video brother!
They changed it this year to replay from the last stoppage in play, so a play the ball, scrum, kick restart, or anything that puts the ball back into play.
Yeah not anymore it's not. It was such a shit rule they went and changed it immediately. Biggest robbery in history. I'm not even a Raiders fan.
2015 was the best NRL FINAL✌✌
Up definitely agree with 2015 being the best ever.
Which team will win the Grand final I think the warriors but I haven't got SBS
The reason the raiders lost in 2019 is they spent 60 minutes going side to side essentially giving the roosters 2 extra defenders in the sidelines. They should have won that game but going sideline to sideline works once or twice a game not 5 times.
2008 the worst of them? Manly won the GF by a still record margin against a team that was rorting the cap by over 1 million $$. This is the best GF and GF final ever! Never be repeated again
wanna cry anymore
@@brandoncrockett6520 nothing to cry about. My team has the record win. Haters will hate. Off you go...
@@Golden93 but not the record for many things else other than being carried by tommy t
@@hameeddown how many records do we need? Here's a few more for you.
1. manly is the only team to be in a GF in every decade since the 50's.
2. Only team to win a GF in every decade since the 70's
3. never had a spoon.
4. Highest winning percentage historically (except for melbourne and brisbane since they have been in the competition for a lot less)
2015 grand final had me shitting non stop but as a cowboys supporter I was bloody thrilled
Sharks storm GF was beyond quality.
Was that the year Sharks didn't cheat the salary cap.
@@davidogrady1119 yep cleared by the NRL fuck it feels good
Impressive completion rate and defense, both teams
Pretty spot on assessment
The only thing that annoys me about the winner is that Thurston got the cc
There were at least three players more deserving of the award in that game
True he's an amazing player but I reckon felt should've got the cc

Or Morgan or their hooker, all had great games
2014 was my fav 😌 but 2015 was good also because it was played on my birthday 😂
October 4?
2016 as a shark supporter was a season like no other. Their absolute floggings of Newcastle & a few more & 2 length of the field tries by Luke Lewis who was a 2nd rower was amazing. Losing Barba in 2017 was my decline as a lover of NRL
Luke Lewis is a utility player. He’s played almost every position so it’s no surprise his good
@@muzikology1018 I know but he was playing 2nd row that season. I remember his debut on the wing at panthers
And the legend Lewis after going through cancer treatments in his past was an absolute machine... I loved watching him play
